We drove by and stopped for a quick lunch between a Dr appt downtown and heading home to pick up kids. This is definitely a little gem in downtown Fresno. We shared the Papi’s sampler and chicken enchiladas. We had chips and salsa brought to out table while we waited for our meal. The portions of both were enough to share for the two of us. The entrees were served hot and the items on the sampler were crisp but not greasy. The enchiladas were full of seasoning but not spicy. Beans and rice were served at the appropriate texture and tasted fresh. I plan on returning here again and trying more of their dishes.

After a 7 month wait for me to return to what was the former Fiesta…& now they have table service. It’s about time! Stopped by for guca, still love the salsa, but the reduced menu was a bit of a disappointment(I REALLY miss the chicken). But the carne Asada quesadilla was excellent! So I guess, with the reintroduction of table service they got this bread and butter client back! The chihuahua is going to love this!

I want to rate this place better, the service was nice and I want businesses in downtown to succeed. That being said, my vegetarian quesadilla was a bit funky tasting, as was the sour cream, which seemed old/bottom of the barrel. It may have been an off day for them and I’ll have to go back to check, but my first impression wasn’t love.

I’ve always had a great experience at Papis. Everyone is very friendly from the moment I walk into the door to the time I leave. Service is great, food is awesome and there is always a great selection of beverages. A place to relax, enjoy your afternoon and take part of the great experience that this restaurant provides day in and day out.

Excellent food. Very authentic. Service is very friendly and genuine but a little slow, having said that, foid came quick. Guac was only thing that wasn’t excellent. Very good presentation. I hear they have great breakfast burritos too, looking forward to coming back.

This restaurant is a local Mom & Pop place. Great place to support local businesses and an entire family. They have two locations: This one is an «express» location that is set up for fast and easy ordering. I really like the quality of the food and the cleanliness of the place. You can see everything and how it is being prepared. That is definitely a benefit to know exactly what is going into your food. The employees are nice and friendly and very willing to help you out. It’s downtown on Van Ness & Divisadero, which isn’t the best location but it’s pretty nice during the day when everybody is at work. The décor is absolutely stunning and you can tell they have spent time putting in work to make sure the place looks appealing. There’s an absolute beautiful and stunning graffiti art in the back wall outside. A great story that goes along with it as well! If you go there, ask for Nick or Antonio and the experience will definitely be amazing! SUPPORTLOCALBUSINESSES!

This place isn’t all that great, but at the same time the one star reviews posted for it so far are a bit harsh and unnecessary. Anyway, I was craving some barbacoa tacos and I was glad this one was nearby. The barbacoa could need some help. Too much grease and hardly any taste. Their Pico de gallo was what made it edible. Tortillas were nothing special. I’m not sure if it’s made in house or not, but I doubt it. Nothing horrible, but just ok overall. Area around here is pretty shady. Plenty of parking spots here also. Prices here were fairly cheap($ 2.50/taco) and it was obviously served quick, since it is set up like a Chipotle now. The workers here were really friendly as well. I’ll probably give this place another try, this time for their carne asada which looked pretty good.

Great selection, quick service, very clean too! Open air kitchen so you can watch your food being prepared. Try the«discada» which is a combo of chicken beef and chorizo. Delish! Kinda on the gringo style side of things, tacos are $ 2.50, but well worth it. Close to the Tower district for that quick lunch..

I had a carna asada torta today and got sick. Had to go to the doctor to stop the vomiting. I called and ask them to just pull the food from the line. The manager was unhelpful. … Don’t eat there!!!

Really good! Carnitas is the way to go with tacos and burritos aside is a little thick cut for me. And I was sad to say the barbacoa was missing something and definitely a little more on the greasy side. But the carnitas are freaking awesome and the breakfast is dam good! Staff is friendly and place is very clean I will be returning quite often hopefully the barbacoa will get a Lil less greasy keep it up Papis! Place is going the right direction
