The staff at Sterling and Smith were so kind, I was having trouble getting things done by a third party cremation company, Sterling and Smith moved mountains for our family in order to get us the remains of our loved one in time for his memorial. We could not have gotten through this without them. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

I highly recommend Sterling & Smith Funeral Directors in Tulare and Fresno, CA. My dear Mother passed away on January 5, 2015 at the age of 97−½ years old. I had went to Sterling & Smith two years prior to my mother’s death, as I did not want to make the arrangements during my grieving. Mr. Tony Smith assisted me and allowed me to take as long as I needed to make the various selections associated with funeral planning. He wrote up my contract and assured me that he would honor it, even if the prices increased. Fast forward two years later and my Mother passes away. My mother’s body was picked up from the comfort care center in a very reasonable amount of time (less than 2 hours). I made an appointment for my two sisters and myself the following day after my Mother’s passing. Mr. Smith met with my sisters and I and as he promised, he honored the contract that I had signed two years previously. My sisters and I added additional items (doves, memorial stone and setting of stone, rental of larger church than my mother’s church, programs, etc.) which of course costs more, but we were expecting the costs since I had not requested these items previously. I was allowed to view my Mother’s body prior to the wake and noticed that her fingernails had been painted. I brought this to the attention of the staff and immediately it was removed in a professional and respectful manner. My Mother was beautiful and her hair was styled just as I had requested. The wake and services were professionally managed and I was very pleased. My mother had to be buried 12 days later because the local cemetery was backed up with digging graves. My Mother was kept at the funeral home for the 12 additional days and the burial service was held in the same manner as the wake and service. Each time I contacted the funeral home, the staff treated me with respect and addressed my concerns in a timely manner.
I highly recommend Sterling & Smith Funeral Directors. The professionalism and genuine concern of this establishment when planning a funeral will put your mind at ease.

Left me feeling sad that my mother could not rest because my family didn’t meet the 80% even though he said it is recommended that we have 50−75% up front. Please think very careful about coming here. I feel like I regret it because of the lies.

Unilocal reviews are phony I gave Sterling a negative review it was hidden at first and within a week it’s gone. How can a company be in business for years and have no reviews?
