Micheladas are still fantastic. Tacos are disgusting. They are so greasy that they just gross me out. Being Mexican, and having grown up with authentic Mexican food this place has turned into a joke. Not worth going for just the micheladas.

The best tacos in Fresno. They have tripe, lengua, and everything else you want. Plus the tripas is has that great charred crunch which takes it to the next level.

The food was good, but if you need more sauce you’re going to have to wait till you get the bill(horrible service)

The food is delicious, but the service is horrible. I come in all the time because the food is great. Aside from bad service, they charge for chips after the first basket. It’s annoying, but it has great tasting food.

Really good tacos and they are open late for all you night owls. Lots of people there late on the weekends. One of my favorite places on kings canyon.

It certainly a sad duty for me to say I would only enjoy the food from this local Mexican chain when Im seriously drunk or up for seriously mediocre Mexican Food when my taste buds are numb. Take something with a grain of salt means, you don’t completely believe what others are saying, and frankly although I have tried it for myself after listening to some of my Mexican friends saying good things about it, Im glad Im being able to formulate my opinion of Taco’s Tijuana, I am in full regret however of spending an arm and a leg for such a mediocre tasting Mexican food located in south of Fresno, the ghetto area which I presume to have real good Mexican food which normally should be affordable since they cater to a certain income demographic surrounding them. Anyways, I tried the chicken Fajitas $ 13.25 and although it wasn’t grotesquely horrible it was despicably overpriced for the lack of quality; their fajitas tasted like the Fajitas I could get at any American diner; It was generic, it had no authentic Mexican flair and it felt lazy, I must however compliment the texture of the chicken, for it was juicy. Fresh tortillas is a gauge of effort when it comes to Mexican restaurant, but since Taco’s Tijuana was lazy, they just bought theirs at a local grocery store, heated it up and served it up with my Fajitas. Their Fajitas at a steep price of $ 13 was no larger portion than other places, it therefore lacked reason to mark up the price more than other places. Meanwhile their beans and rice although good, was just as generic as their tortillas, it lacked the love and passion of good Mexican food. Their fish tacos $ 2.95 was so fishy, it made the whiff of ocean odor from Monterey bay almost tolerable, this is a sign of poor care of picking fresh seafood. The fish although nicely grilled was too fishy. The tacos was served with fresh sliced lettuce, avocados and tomatoes. It lacked character and flavor. For better and real tasting fish tacos, I would have rather driven to don pepe taqueria. I might sound like I’m being thoroughly negative about this place as i retrace my experience, but Im not. The service for takeout was seriously slow and kind bad, the waitress had no decency to greet me as I entered and did not acknowledge me until I flagged down their attention. It seems like this place is severely under staffed as the waitress was too busy making me wait while she served everyone. After placing my order, I had to wait 25 minutes for my mediocre food. Ive never waited that long for such mediocre Mexican food, even the good place manages to bring out their food within 10. Their cleanliness is my biggest concern since their main counter top seems cluttered with wash cloth, plastic, and dirty dishes. Normally I wouldn’t have given this place a second glance, but with the spirit of trying something new I endured it. Overall for the steep price coupled with the fact that the food was severely mediocre, it is safe to say I wont be back or telling my friends about it. For those interested to patron this restaurant, they provide a private parking lot that is safe, and this is a sit down restaurant probably perfect when you’re drunk or planning to get drunk in house since I hear they have good liquor drinks.

OMG! The molé is the BEST! Always great food. The service gets overwhelmed when it’s busy… which is usually.

Genuine authentic Mexican food. Upon arriving here, I was greeted with the sound of a band playing music, and the chattering of satisfied customers. I was as clueless as a polar bear in the desert when I walked in. No waiter or waitress asked«how many people?», so I went to ask the cashier at the front. Being as sweet as she was, she politely told us to sit down wherever we wanted to. After we sat down, a waiter came by to give us menus and chips and salsa, and did an excellent job catering to our requests and answering our questions. I saw the beef enchiladas on the menu and instantly knew what I wanted. When it came, my eyes lit up at the portion and color of the plate. I didn’t know where to start, the enchiladas, or the sides. But when I took a bite of the enchiladas, topped with a red sauce the awesome waiter brought me, it was amazing. The tender, shredded beef inside the tortilla, with sour cream, lettuce, and tomato on top, melted in my mouth. I was extremely happy when I saw that they gave me 3 of them :) This place is easily one of the best Mexican restaurants I’ve been to. It was a great call stopping here on my trip from Yosemite to LA.

I Love Tacos Tijuana ! Their Michelada is a bit over priced but comes in a huge cup and tastes amazing. I have had their ceviche tostadas twice and it’s very fresh and flavorful. I would highly recommend this location for bomb Mexican food.

Tacos Tijuana is one of the best places in town when it comes to Mexican food. I love coming here to eat with my family. This location is much better than the one on Ventura/Kings Canyon. Parking may be difficult to find in the small parking lot, but there is always parking along Belmont Ave. Expect a wait time of about 5 minutes or more at peak hours. I have tried the carne asada tacos and the filete a la plancha. Both are delicious. Also important to mention that the atmosphere is quite loud, so if you are looking for a quiet place to eat, this is not the place for you.

I don’t know what happened to this place. They used to have the best tacos, horchata and service. Now it’s all bad. The horchata tasted old, the tacos were cold and the fish taco(first time I’ve had it from here) had absolutely no flavor. Del Taco fish tacos are 100 times better! Really disappointed, especially since I had to drive to the other side of town to get here.

The most wonderful chili relleno I’ve ever had. Not another one like it that I know of anywhere. The food is fresh and expertly made. Homemade tortillas with the meal. This restaurant struggled with their service but seems to have removed the negativity and found amazing attentive servers. Fluffy flavorful rice. I’m so glad to be able to finally enjoy the restaurant again. Great food. Great service. Equals many happy returns!

I really enjoyed my lunch date here with my husband:) Service was good and quick, the restaurant is large and the food was good! I enjoyed the chicken tacos more than the carne asada(a little greasy and over cooked) and my husband enjoyed everything about his chicken enchilada plate. We will return to try other items on the menu. Oh, and you get free chips and salsa:)

When it comes to mexican food, tacos tijuana has all the flavors of authentic mexican cuisine. The establishment is not too attractive but that is not what attracts people here. It is the amazing food that’s sure to wow. Speaking of amazement, I was certainly suprised at the customer service I received this afternoon. When you arrive you have the option to sit and enjoy or order to-go. If you order to-go like I did today just keep in mind there is no place to sit and wait for your food. You awkwardly have to stand around and hope you’re not in anyone’s way as people come and go. With uncertainty we sat down at a random table to wait. In feeling the sting of an empty tummy we asked if we could be served some chips and salsa while we waited. Our request was DENIED. I was suprised but followed up with, «are there some in the bag?» The answer is NO. Although, we paid the same price as anyone else. Although, they sit and order refill after refill there was no form of welcome or hospitality to make the service stand out. Everyone who was working there looked like they were struggling to get through their shift. Including the cashier who had a big frown on her face like she was mad we walked in. The manager, who was also not very pleasant, informed us that it would cost $ 4.18 for some chips and salsa!!! Unlike other restaurants who give them for free, this place wanted to charge us. I wish i could give tacos t.j. 5 stars because their food is so good but not today. This is the first time I have experienced this type of service here and I was very disappointed because my family was here from out of town and I was bragging about how good it was. What does that make me look like tacos t.j.?! Step up your game. Learn hospitality and keep your customers happy.

Went there for the first time recently and I agree the food was good but also overpriced. It is at least two $$ in the cost category. The carnitas taco plate was good *** and the chili relleno was very good ****. The service was ok however when I asked for a «take-out» menu I was told none were available. At the end of the day I am usually tired and stressed-out. I prefer to order to go just before leaving work and picking it up on my way home, Making a picture of margaritas when I get home and eating in a quiet stress-free environment. I will go back again and this time photograph the menu for reference. Ask them for a carry-out menu. If enough customers ask for one they will have one made up.

I am a regular here. I love every taco(esp the crunchy tripa) and entrée, meat or seafood, that I have ordered here. Their michelada is delicious! Would recommend and will return like I always have. Mmmm.

Always a satisfying experience whenever I’ve gone! From top to bottom you can’t go wrong with whatever item you choose. My personal favorite are the tripas tacos(maybe too extreme for the average folk) but the taste is best in town! Trust me though, close your eyes and just taste! The adobada though, is a must! Don’t forget about the mariscos ;)

The food is really good but the service is the worst. The drinks are never refilled. They started charging for EVERY extra WITHOUT informing the customer of the charge. The head waitress seems to acuse customers of stealing. It seems to take them forever to take your order after you had already waited 20 minutes to be seated. They are EXTREMELY disorganized. It is VERYPOORLY run. I have been here 3 times and the service is ALWAYS poor. This is UNACCEPTABLE!!! Never again!!! I am warning everyone who plans to dine there to run the other way. There are hundreds of places to dine. Places that are happy to have custoers and places thet treat their customers with respect. SERVICESPEAKSVOLUMES!!!

My favorite place for micheladas! I have been going to both locations since I moved to Fresno and I prefer this location when we have a big group. They give free chips and salsa unlike the other location. The tacos are bomb but sometimes they do run out of certain meats, which sucks! The seafood is great, they don’t scrimp you on the amount of shrimp in your coctel. The chile verde burritos are a must. The only problem I have is the location. It is not in a very good part of Fresno but the food and the micheladas make up for it.
