Our business uses TelePacific and has for several years. We are very pleased with the customer service and the local rep, which we never got from AT&T. The pricing on a 3 year term was way better than what we were paying and they really spent the time to provide us a business solution rather than just selling us something we didn’t need. I would highly recommend them to everyone.

This is a caution about dealing with TelePacific sales. I had been asked to review a proposal they made to a non-profit organization for replacing their phone and internet service. I had a number of technical questions to understand the impact on the organization. The first set they answered satisfactorily and a few surmountable challenges became evident, but would have been a surprise if we hadn’t asked before signing on the dotted line. They balked when I asked obvious follow-up questions including: Would the customer be able to keep their existing phone number(s) and what the options/cost might be if their internet bandwidth need eventually exceeded the dynamic T1 in their original proposal? They complained that they didn’t understand the need for all of the technical questions and withdrew their proposal. I’m left with the impression the answers to the second set of questions would most likely have been unacceptable. In retrospect it feels very much like their main priority and sole focus was on closing a sale by the end of the month regardless of any potential surprises for the customer after they had committed to a 36 month contract. A very unprofessional and disappointing experience. Caveat emptor — buyer beware.
