Don’t get in here much, but I love the breakfast sandwiches.

We arrived at 2:30 on a Sunday, with 30 minutes to closing. There were two other customers who were eating. We ordered our food, the cashier/sandwich maker was not friendly. Once we sat down, the other associate was moping the floor around us. After we received our food and started to eat, the cashier came out to the floor and began cleaning. In the process of cleaning, she was slamming the coffee makers around. They continued to make the atmosphere extremely uninviting, by turning the lights out.

This place consistently sucks. I’ve been here about 10 times in the past year so I feel like I’ve given it a fair shot. I’ve not once seen an employee smile, or say hello. Usually I feel like I’m a pain in their ass, but I order straight off the menu, no weird requests. Their bagels are fine, but half the time they don’t actually make your sandwich, instead you open the bag to find the ingredients in little wasteful plastic containers and they expect you to make it yourself in the car I guess. The last time this happened I took everything back in and asked dude to put the sandwiches together-I don’t have a kitchenette in my car and my kids are hungry-technically he complied, but he made an awful mess, everything was smeared all over the outsides of both bagels. He obviously did it out of spite. Anyway, if you’re desperate enough for a bagel to deal with a shit attitude(and possibly making your own sandwich), the bagels themselves are fine.

Great Bagel Sandwich! Recently moved to the Fresno area and checked out this place based on other Unilocal reviews. Ordered the«Ultimate» on an everything bagel and was wonderfully surprised. Not only was the bagel fresh, but the ingredients(egg, sausage, bacon and hash browns) were delicious and made for a really, really good breakfast sandwich. A great sandwich for under $ 5.00 — way to go!

This location is the saddest of the chain… unfriendly staff, wrong orders and the worst egg entrees. I ordered the Vegie Scrambler and is was as rubbery as a new set of tires. No flavor, no good. Threw it away after two awful bites. Ordered a toasted bagel and if came to me like they had just warmed it under a heat lamp. Try the FSU location(Cedar/Shaw), so much better. Avoid this location and go next door to the Starbucks.

I have a bagel obsession. Seriously… a bagel with garlic and herb cream cheese is one of my all time guilty pleasures. With that being said… this place is just alright. Unfortunately, Uncle Harry’s is like the only bagel place in the area besides Fresno Bagel(which I’m not a fan of their microwaved bagels) but I come here often anyway. Make sure to check your order before you leave as they have given me the wrong cream cheese on a few occasions. Also, YOU have to spread your own cream cheese(never seen this at any other bagel place) and sometimes they forget to put a knife in your bag so if you’re eating on the way to work… that can be really annoying! The amount of cream cheese they give you Isn’t very consistent and can be sparse at times. Their employees are always welcoming though!

Good bagel sandwich. I would recommend it for a quick pitstop breakfast. I normally like my eggs over easy, but the way they make the egg patty here I find very agreeable.

Does double toasted mean burnt!!! This place has the audacity to serve me 2 burnt plain bagels. The first one was black, the second still burnt. Is there no medium? Single toast isn’t enough to that the inside, but double toast cremates the bagel. I wish I had taken a picture of the first bagel. That is so disappointing. Never coming here again. Not to mention, NONE of the staff here are warm and welcoming.

Usually pretty good, but the last few times I’ve gone they either didn’t toast the bagel like asked, fully cook the egg on the sandwich, or, as for this last time, the blitz had only a small bit of cream cheese on each end and was dry throughout the rest. Wish it was like it was before.

Coffee is alright, environment is great. Wish they’d label their coffee pots better and had a little more selection on roasts.

I usually come to Uncle Harry’s about once a month for a chill place to have a really good bagel breakfast. I enjoy this location the most since it’s the closest to me and they have the fastest service of all the ones I’ve gone to in the Fresno area. The workers are always nice and some even remember me by name which is sweet. Customer for life!

Uncle Harry’s has some awesome choices you can’t find anywhere else in town(that I have found), including the garlic bagel, cranberry orange bagel, and gingerbread bagel with built in cream cheese. Delicious. While I think this is one of the best places to get bagels in Fresno, I don’t get why blueberry bagels are in the expensive bagel category… there is nothing extra fancy about them, and it seems more that this company is charging more simply because it is a popular selection. I am not a fan of the egg breakfast sandwiches which taste like reconstituted powdered egg with soggy microwaved meats. But some of their other selections are great. I can’t speak to the coffee. I’ve tried it once, and wasn’t impressed, but I’ve been told by many that they make a mean mocha. Service is usually prompt and accurate… and if you are patient, you can usually find a place to sit and eat. even during the busy weekend morning hours.

The 2 stars bump up the score because they open early. Otherwise, mass produced bagels with low quality ingredients equals yucky face. Breakfast? They’ve got that, in the blandest taste you can possibly imagine. Bagels? I would only call them that because there is no category for stale donuts without confection(conchas?!). Coffee? One of their highlights. As in it meets 7 – 11 standards. But with 7 – 11 being open 24 hours, why would I visit Uncle Harry’s? The bagels, you say… pssht, nah. I’d take Fresno Bagel any day during regular operating hours over this place.

Neeeeever again! They just lost my business to Panera, quality, consistence, never run out of bagels, and FRIENDLY!!! Had to walk my order back into the restaurant 2 times! I ordered verbatim, «Id like a ham & swiss sourdough twice toasted bagel with cream cheese». The first time I went back in, I showed them the ham, american cheese, and egg bagel. I said again my order again. I got a microwaved ham & american cheese bagel. I walked back again, and the woman making my sandwich yelled, «what does she want! Im not making it again!» in an aggressive tone! I told the manager that I didn’t understand what was so difficult about my order and said to forget it and just give me my money back!!! No one apologized, except myself to the other patrons. Ham, swiss, cream cheese toasted bagel!!! Siiimple order and you don’t need a degree or half a brain to make a sandwich. I wonder how long people will keep coming to such an unfriendly establishment with mediocre over priced bagels, for me it was convenience. I will drive the extra mile for Panera. I hope they shut this hole down for the way they treat their customers.

This place is okay… just okay… they have a good variety, but often run out of stuff by the time i stop by… granted it is after 12 pm… bagels are okay… nothing that is out of this world though. In case you either own or manage this particular location, i would like you to consider the following… not hating or bashing… i try my best to help businesses that i visit as i used to run food establishments myself: 1) young lady who helped me out yesterday — 1:45 pm on 10/9…she was the only one at the counter — she needs some SERIOUS customer service training. i have had this lady help me out on three occasions. Needless to say, my experiences with her have neither changed for the better or improved: a) she did not greet me coming in… but just looked at me b) there was another lady in front of me and the employee took her order… but did not acknowledge me… like maybe, «I will be right with you», or better yet, ask me if she could take my order… it would only make sense that she gets both of our orders(there was no one else in the joint) and make them both at the same time. c) she made the lady’s sandwich; wrapped it and placed it on the counter… then PROCEEDEDTOCHANGETHETRASHCANLINER(wth???)…I couldn’t believe it… she still didn’t acknowledge me and even looked at me… I felt like a dummy just standing in front of the register. d) when she finally took my order, she still didn’t greet me … just… what can i get for you… it felt so cold and insincere… to add insult to injury… another lady just walked in as i finished giving my order… i pay for my order and the cashier proceeds to ask the lady in back of me how she could help her… why didn’t she do that when i was in line… boy, did that piss me off! e) finally, i got my order and as she gave it to me she said«have a good one». maybe it is because i am irked at this point, but no eye contact, no smile… again, very cold… she could have said thank you; please come again or something to show that she appreciated my business… after all, I help to contribute to her employment! f) may i also suggest that you remove a display items if it is sold out. i have tried to order a particular flavor once before and yesterday again… it is in the display case, but i am told that you are all sold out… or at least have a sold out sign on the item in the display. so…to the owner or manager… there are a few places that i could have gone to… i have eaten at panera’s and actually, the blackstone location is my favorite one. if you want to see fantastic customer service, go pay them a visit. your bagels are not cheap, so I expect GREAT service from your store… not once, not twice, but every time I set foot into your joint. I have visited your establishment on 5 occasions and on two of those, there were young men who actually were pretty good and friendly… the other three times was with this young lady… she really gives the appearance that she is not happy working there. it should be noted that i was pleasant and did not order any complicated orders — just a couple of bagels toasted with cream cheese. my wife and i are not caucasians… I am not throwing in the race card here at all… i am from hawaii and love people of ALL ethnicities, but this particular employee is very friendly and gives the service that I expect to everyone who is a caucasian… my wife also noticed it without me saying anything… again, i am just putting the facts out here so that this employee can be enlightened on what she is or is not doing right… hope this helps. I will visit again in the near future to give you guys one more try… hopefully, things will be different.

Love this place, and I always get Lox and Cream Cheese on a «open face» bagel, and I get to use Star#ucks WiFi… haha. I usually get the house blend, and drink it black… why? Cause it’s gooooood. Enjoy.

Solid bagel selection, good sandwiches. I recommend ditching the styrofoam cups, and improving customer service.

First time here and I had a «famous beggelwich»(I did not misspell) and I have to say it is one of the best breakfast bagels I’ve had in a long time. I lived in New York and their everything bagels taste just as good if you went to NYC. The real why I gave them 4-stars instead of 5 is the food smelled funny. This honestly could be my problem and no one else, but I felt that anyone reading this should know about it.

Finding a place to eat in Fresno on a Sunday morning was a challenge for a foodie like me. I couldn’t find any notable local favorite dish that was made famous in Fresno and most places are only open on weekdays. It had been a long time since I had lox and/or a bagel, so we came for bagel sandwiches. What we experienced was typical of other dining experiences in the San Joaquin Valley — hit and miss. The traditional lox sandwich was very good with plenty of salmon, but the egg and sausage«beggelwich» was like airline food because of the barely pliable microwaved egg. The additional capers in the lox sandwich were not free. This also happened at dinner the night before in another restaurant in Fresno. So whenever anyone in Fresno asks how you would like your meal, it is not an attempt to fit the food to your tastes(like when Subway asks what you’d like on your sandwich), but a way to charge more(like when McDonald’s asks«would you like fries with that?»).

Consistent and good. Love the different cream cheeses. Coffee is delicious. Counter help is always friendly and courteous. The additional charges for extras, well, I be the rent bill is pretty steep there so Im ok with it.
