Prime rib was excellent as was all the food. Service, however, sub par. Very disappointing. Again, food was fabulous and Dan in the bar is great! Dining room service non excusable.

Pretty good service. Nice views of the harbor. Definitely get the prime rib if you’re a meat eater. It’s delicious. Also added the potato crusted scallops, the breading and salsa on it was amazing, scallops inside were just ok.

There are only a few top end restaurants on San Juan Island and this is the one that’s open most often. Good service and generally good food. It is expensive but it’s a waterfront location, high-end service and quality ingredients. In the summer window seats can get hot in the sun. It’s our go-to expensive restaurant in the San Juan Islands, even over the more inventive(but often closed) Duck Soup Inn. Sadly, not always the best staff so no 5 stars this time. Just one overworked waiter I haven’t seen before. But the prime rib was tender, the lamb shank local and perfectly cooked, mashed potatoes were silky smooth, and the berry cobbler warm and welcome on a frosty evening(although a really small portion).

Wow. can you beat great food, with a million dollar view ? This place is on the water overlooking the harbor. Deck service under the umbrellas with heaters is great for lunch and dinner. My wife and I ate in the bar upstairs. Small table by the window. Ask for Scott, a great guy. He can make a really good drink. Also first class service. My wife had halibut that was prepared perfect. Enough seafood for me, they offer a special«center cut» prime rib. Oh yeah, along with smashed tatters, please. Rare here is rare, and can be cut with a fork. Yes, a bit expensive… your on an island. I don’t mind spending money for a memorable evening, we had that, that night. Well done to all.

Pretty solid meh. Apart from the views(which are spectacular) there is absolutely nothing special about this place. «Known» for their prime rib, I found it be good but nothing amazing. My husband got the seared tuna special and it was the blandest, most over-cooked piece of «seared» tuna either of us have ever eaten. The service was another solid meh with us having to constantly ask for refills. Also, while making a reservation it asked if we were celebrating anything special, which we were(anniversary) but I’m not sure why they bother asking as it is not acknowledged at all.

Best restaurant on the island, service was amazing Jules was a rockstar. Pricing is decent compared to anything around here and the view was spectacular.(Make reservations to see the sunset) Food: prime rib, prawn stuffed Dungeoness crab and risotto, dessert sampler, calamari, mushroom appetizer.

We had a fancy date night here that was a very memorable and enjoyable meal. We were seated right at the window seat with the breathtakingly beautiful marina and sunset on display throughout dinner. Our server was extremely friendly and fast. The entire ambiance of the restaurant was very nice and we even got to watch their daily tradition of lowering the flags on the docks. For our meal we ordered a glass of wine(that was just okay) and split the awesome spring salad to start. I loved this salad that was mixed with shaved brussel sprouts, asparagus, fried parsnips and many other things in an awesome dressing. I tried the small plate with salmon on a ratatouille and roasted potato hash and had the crab stuffed shrimp as well. The boy got the large size of the prime rib and thoroughly enjoyed his meal. We split the ice cream parfait type dessert and a decaf coffee to seal the deal and were extremely satisfied upon leaving. We’d come back!

I have been here several times and have always had the best experience. Good food and service . Love the color guard lowering of the flag at sunset.

We stayed in Friday harbor but drive up to Roach Harbor to have dinner here. We were not disappointed. We had 7:30 reservations but arrived about 40 minutes early. I asked if we could be seated early and even though they were busy they accommodated us. Our server was very friendly and gave us very special attention, explaining how the menu options worked. They have 3 sections of menu, a starter, salad and petite main course. You can order all 3 which they recommend or pick and chose what you want(each item is priced individually). Food portions were prefect. I felt full but not stuffed at the end of dinner. I had the sushi rolls, crab salad, and parmesan crusted sole. All 3 were outstanding in presentation, taste and portions. The two in our party that ordered the prime rib medium rare thought it was a little overlooked but still good. Our dinner for 4 took about 2 hours but we were never rushed. Our server gave us great attention. The views of the harbor next to our table was wonderful while we watched the sunset. The price with tip was about $ 80 per person with alcohol. We hope to go back someday.
