Generic mexican restaurant. Nice location friendly staff. Beer prices to high, but play area for kids is needed by tired, wanting a drink parents.

This is my 1st time, AND last. I went over there because a friend said that it was good so I went along with her. Let me tell you, I think she should go out a little more often. This place hmmm, let’s see: I must say the servers were very nice and friendly, can’t take that away. BUT, the margaritas, not! I had a margarita on the rocks, this thing tasted like a limeade made with dirty sink water, not a hint of alcohol. I had to order a shot to make sense of what I was drinking. Then I ask for a dish that had flank steak with a chile relleno with shrimp and rice. Well the chile was not steamed or cooked in any sort of way. It was so stiff I just took the stuffing out and left the pepper there. The steak was fine, somewhat tasty. My bill was almost $ 40, no way worth it. It was a good amount, but being that the taste wasn’t good, it’s not worth it. I want my money back, Taco Cabana is way better

I had a skinny margarita and the asada tacos and they were both very delicious. The skinny margaritas were on special for $ 6 on Saturday night. The asada tacos came with fresh avocado on the side and a pesto like sauce on top. I sat in the bar and had really good service. I would definitely eat here again.

Had a great lunch with my coworkers here today! Salsa and chips were yummy. We all had lunch specials and everyone was happy. The tortilla soup is a favorite of our office and the Avocado soup didn’t disappoint either! I had the soup with one crispy carnitas taco. Overall a good lunch at a good price and the server was very nice! We missed the lunch crowd but it seemed to fill up pretty quickly towards 11:30am. Will have to try the dinner menu next!

Not impressed. Service was okay but the food was bland… waste of calories and funds. It was a let down because I’ve been«meaning to try» Cristina’s for five years. Enchiladas de pollo it was on this particular day because they are my favorite and hard to screw up. Yeah, not worth the sit-ups and dead lifts… pass. Sorry guys.

Food was not terrible, what was terrible was the service! Actually, lack of service. Good service would have made up for the just about average fajitas. We were seated on the patio, a waiter took our drink order and brought our drinks — no sign of a waiter after that. The host finally came out and took our order and then 20 minutes later the food shows up. With the variety of restaurants in this area, I can not imagine how Cristina’s will survive with the lack of concern for customers. If you don’t mind being ignored stop in, otherwise, drive up Preston Road and try one of the other Mexican food restaurants.

First off I’d like to say this review is STRICTLY for this Frisco Location only because I’ve been to three other Cristina’s locations(Fire Wheel, Plano & Carrollton) and this one had the worst service. We eat at Cristina’s all the time so lets start with the food. My favorite here is their mexican shrimp cocktail because it’s soo yummy! They give you a good amount of nice juicy shrimp and the avocado is fresh. It’s supposed to be a little spicy, but it’s really not so I always ask for tabasco to season it myself. My husband had the El Jimador which i had to snag a bite of because it looked delicious and believe me it was! The service was LAME. I found it odd that they had a sign up with something along the lines of «now hiring enthusiastic employees» or something to that effect when the waitstaff they had was anything but. Now nless they were replacing everyone there, there was no one that matched that description at all. None of them looked like they wanted to be there. The hostess(which is the first person you see) had no smile and looked annoyed with everyone that came in and just was not personable whatsoever. Then we were seated and as our waitress came up to ask what we’d like to drink, my husband asked what the cost on their import beers were and crickets… she replied” uhmm i don’t know”…and just stood there… like didn’t even offer to. gee i don’t know… GOFINDOUTMAYBE! I seriously doubt that would be the last time she would be asked that question yet nope, she didn’t even attempt to find out just stood there. So we just ordered cokes instead, because at this point… we weren’t going to be staying long. Alcohol sales are big money in the restaurant business and to have a waitress that isn’t even knowledgable about the beers/liquor is just a waste. The ONLY person that was nice was a man that would come by and check the hostess’s list, which he might have been a manager but I don’t know. All in all this review would have gotten five stars instead of 2 from me but the waitstaff pooped all over 3 of them. The Plano location has a better staff. Just saying.

Our server was friendly and prompt. The service was great but the food was NOT so great. My friend and I both ended up a bit sick 20 minutes later with tummy aches. Ick! I ordered the light lunch of small tortilla soup and a sour cream chicken enchilada. The chicken didn’t taste fresh in the tortilla soup and my enchilada was good but the chicken was super dry. I also had chips and salsa. Oh and the broth is seperate from the chicken! Weird. She added the broth to my bowl of tortilla strips, chicken and avocado at the table. I ordered a children’s meal of cheese quesadillas with apple slices and French fries. She came back with my daughter’s plate and informed me they were out of apples. So instead, I asked for carrots. She came back with some HORRIBLE looking carrots. They were brownish and dry. I was disgusted. I just pushed them aside. The quesadillas were super cheesy. My friend ordered fajitas — chicken and beef. They looked good but Since she was sick too… I’m assuming the meat was bad. This was our first time here. Needless to say, we won’t be returning again.

I was a little hesitant to check this place out based on the reviews, but I’m really glad we did. I’ll admit — I got a tex-mex combo which was OK(2 – 3 star range like the most of the reviews show), but not memorable, however my husband ordered the Pollo ala Stephie and it was GREAT! Chicken breast stuffed with spinach & cheese, lightly battered & fried and topped with a cream sauce of some kind. I can’t wait to go back to Cristina’s and order this dish for myself. I’m inspired to check out some of the other Cristina menu items that go beyond the standard tex-mex fare as it appears this is where they shine.

FYI: They moved to Preston rd. On with the review, the food isn’t bad, especially on fajita Wednesday’s. 8.99. Not a bad deal. I’m not a huge fan of the chicken, but the steak isn’t bad. I’m a to-go kinda girl, and they are always pleasant on the phone, and my order is always correct and ready when I arrive. I give it 3 stars because the food is good, but not outstanding. But for 9 $ it’s a great deal.

I was really unimpressed with the food here, and the service was slow. I think I sat with an empty glass for 20 minutes before I finally flagged someone down(who was not my actual waiter) to have it refilled, after making it visible and then finally just moving it to the edge of the table to try and be obvious. Had the queso(blah, not good and the chip’s tasted burned). Grabbed some cheese enchiladas which were almost flavorless. My friends who met me there said their food was«okay» which is never a great sign. My friend did enjoy her margarita, but they also definitely charged for it(think it was $ 8?). Anyway, I wasn’t impressed and won’t be heading back!

Frozen margarita. Crispy chips and fresh salsa. Sauteed shrimp and smoky bacon tacos… topped with avocado. Hungry yet?! Cristina’s Fine Mexican Restaurant was so kind to send me a gift card to try out their Frisco location(8210 Highway 121, Frisco, TX75034) to share my opinion with the world. Before we get further into my thoughts here, I would encourage you to read that first line again. Frozen margarita. Crispy chips and fresh salsa. Sauteed shrimp and smoky bacon tacos… topped with avocado. How could my taste palette not do a cheer for those flavors? I went to visit Crisitina’s last Thursday evening after a long work day and I was in need of a wind-down. I’m so glad I went there because it was exactly what I needed. I was seated right away in a booth near the front, with a great view of the whole restaurant(I’m a people watcher, so this was the perfect spot for me). I was immediately greeted by a friendly waiter, who was both knowledgeable about the menu and quick to bring anything I ordered. Good service, check! Given this is a tex-mex restaurant, a margarita was a must have and Cristina’s did not disappoint. As far as margaritas go, I’m fairly easy to please but this particular margarita makes it to the top of my list. I got about half a dozen brain freezes trying to drink it too quickly, but I just couldn’t help myself. Do yourself a favor and at minimum, try one of their margaritas on their great patio soon(before it gets too cold for patio drinking)! Next up — the main course. Sauteed shrimp and smoky bacon tacos… topped with avocado. Oh my gosh these tacos are so very delicious! I’ve never eaten anything like them! This is the 3rd time I am mentioning these tacos in this post, because I am just that serious about getting the word out about these(and I take my food very seriously). The shrimp and bacon are in a guajillo chili sauce and come in corn tortillas with a fresh slice of avocado on top. While Cristina’s did provide me the incentive to try out their restaurant, I truly want to be sure that this next statement has nothing to do with that fact: this is my new favorite tex-mex meal in the DFW area! If you aren’t convinced yet, please don’t feel like you need to take my word for it. Go try it for yourself Frisco, and I would love to hear if you agree! I Heart Frisco!

Cold food & slow service. I’ve been eating here for years and some time back I’ve noticed the food isn’t as good and the service had dropped a bit. It’s too bad as it used to be the Mexican restaurant I would go to… now, taco bell seems like an easier thing to find. A little update since I haven’t stopped going here for lunch or dinner. The food has gotten better and so has the service. I’m happy to see some improvements as most TexMex food is just OK. I will post more as I see more improvement. I would now say it’s a good place to have lunch… and it gets busy fast so get there early.

The Fajitas we had at Cristina’s in Frisco were outstanding. a little spendy, but we had enough leftover to have for lunch the next day. The Margaritas were also a little spending for what we were told were special prices. Still were tasty. Service there was real good. Always have loved the chips and salsa at Cristina’s.hated that they closed the one in Addison. boy could Addison use some good Mexican Food. Hint-hint!

Not bad for Happy Hour — they give you chips and salsa and I really like the salsa because it tastes fresh and it’s chunky. I ordered a Strawberry Mojito and it was ok… you can barely taste the strawberry flavor but at least the drink wasn’t too minty. A few other people ordered beer and one person had his beer poured into this super cold and very heavy mug. I didn’t get that. I don’t know why you’d want to serve a beer in a heavy mug when pouring the beer makes it even heavier?!? weird… at least the prices were reasonable.
