Hickory Center Dental

I’m posting this review after being a customer and my children being patients for a year now. We have been coming to Hickory Dental for more than a year now. Their staff is trained at the front to treat every client with amazing attitudes… Much better than stuffy medical office attitudes you sometimes see at other places. This place doesnt have a little glass door to close on you like other places do.
Two of our children needed braces last year. They set us up with an affordable monthly payment plan which took all the fears of expensive orthodontics work and put it into an understandable monthly setup which we paid as the treatments and adjustments were performed.
Additionally, the orthodontics techs in the back have a «can do» and «happy to be working» approach you don’t always find.
Lastly, my kiddos have little to no fear because of the approaches taken to make them feel relaxed.
I recommend this facility to anyone!

Wow!!! That’s how I felt after I left Hickory Dental. From my first contact with the reception desk, and throughout my visit.
The entire staff was cordial, professional and really likable. The dentist explained everything upfront and during the process… loved the results!
Glad I found a gem of a dentist in Frisco!

The good. office looks nice. People seem friendly. I wanted to like this place a lot. Spent nearly 1K getting ONE tooth fixed. They did a root canal and crown. Within 2 months the crown was apparently cracked and my tooth hurts.
I called the office and was told that they do not back up their work unless you agree to get all of your cleanings with them. That’s right. You must continue giving them money in order for them to guarantee the work they have done. The love to use the scam ‘deep cleaning’ which means you are going to pay extra cash to them. In my case, it was going to cost approx. $ 200 out of pocket for a cleaning and I do not need a deep cleaning. Google deep cleaning and read what real dentist say about it. It’s a way to bring in more cash and it’s very painful afterwards.
There is no way I would ever go back to this place and would steer people away if asked.

One of the best experiences I have had in all the years of me going to a dentist. The staff is super friendly and really genuinely care about you and the dentist is amazing. Dr. Merchant really took his time in each of my appointments to explain everything that he was going to do as well as answer all of the million questions I had regarding my procedure. I am terrified of getting shots so his assistant really calmed me down while he was giving me the numbing shots. After the first appointment, he was available each time I called to ask a question. This had been the most pain free hassle free root canal & crown appointments I have had to go through (I have had a few). I am so happy I finally found an office that I can go to for the rest of the work I have and will have in the future. I definitely definitely recommend Dr. Merchant and his staff for whatever you have to get done with your teeth!
