The food is always wonderful, but the service is always awful when I am there. Food is NOT always fresh. My quiche had been sitting in a warming oven and was overly browned and tough. Tomato basil soup was excellent as always. Very slow service line, no forks to eat with, and most tables were dirty and couldn’t be used. This was a Sunday at noon, and the church crowd was there first, but I couldn’t even see anyone bussing tables. I have limited my trips to this Le Madeleine. They need to step it up!!!

I like La Madeleine a lot. But this location was just alright. Ordering seemed disjointed and confusing for some reason. It was order at the counter, like all la Madeleine’s that I have been to, but I just felt confused about who was taking my order at this location. I had eggs Benedict and they were pretty good. Carmel macchiato was definitely weak and watery, but I was desperate for a coffee fix so I just drank it. Next time I would go separately to Starbucks for coffee. Butter packets were covered in sticky jelly. The whole condiment area seemed to have gotten jelly spilled on it. They also forgot my side(potato galette) and I had to ask for it. Not a big deal, but this location just was not my favorite. We have so many good restaurants in this area, so I just don’t think I would go back to a chain like la Madeleine when I know they aren’t going to be on point.

Quick review as we run our errands. Staff was extremely friendly and courteous. Tomato Basil soup was excellent as well as the tomato basil pasta, tuna croissant, and chicken salad croissant. Would absolutely return.

I can not tell you how sad it makes me to see how far LaMadeline has sunk from it’s inception. I started eating at LaMadeline back in the 80s when the original two in the Dallas area were located off 75 at Lover’s and Preston at Forrest Lane. Does LaMadeline even employ«Chef’s «at their locations or is it all LaMadeline Food Service trucked in? The McKinney location has closed(moved I suppose to the newly opened Allen location off McDermott and 75 in the old MiMi’s Café) but the last time I ate int that location the tables surrounding me had not been bussed in over an hour and there was NOWHERE to sit! In the past two years each time I’ve eaten at LaMadeline I’ve sworn it’s my last time andTHIS TIME I MEANIT! Way to go, yet another example of some Corporate Knuckle Heads ruining what once was a good thing. .

Had lunch here with some co-workers recently, and the three star rating may make it sound like it wasn’t that great. It was good, it just didn’t wow me. I had the Croque Monsieur sandwich(«French ham and cheese»), and while tasty, the bread seemed a little ordinary and it was a little dry. The accompanying pasta salad had a good flavor, but again, wasn’t really overly remarkable. What does really ring my bell here, and I’ve had it on previous occasions, is the fruit tart. I can heartily recommend this if you want a sweet treat that looks great and tastes great. And of course, the tomato basil soup is legendary. Bottom line, maybe it’s just me, but it feels like they lost something when they transitioned from full«cafeteria» style a while back, to the quick casual format they have now. Still, it’s a good place to pick up lunch, and a great place to pick up treats!

So disappointed in La Madeline today! Extremely poor service and the quality of food wasn’t up to its usual mark either. Understaffed with one waitress struggling to clean a bunch of dirty tables(leaving us with almost no seating options!)

Essentially fast food, with pretentious French names, but of course there’s absolutely nothing French about it. Very simple and nothing seems cooked on premise; most of it is prepackaged from some central distribution center.

I’ve always liked La Madeline although, because of the acoustics of the building style, it’s always a bit noisy. I came to this store during lunch and despite the fact that it was busy, there were available tables. BUUUUT… They were all sorry. I had to clean my own table to sit down to eat. That was a little discouraging, but I like La Madeline food so I keep coming back. The service was friendly as usual.

Food is actually quite good, but they seem to have a hard time with the concept of bussing tables. They’ve started putting calorie counts on items, which is good, but scary.

I’ve visited Le Madeleine many times. The breakfasts are awesome, especially the Eggs Benedict… unless I’m with my friend Tana who will eat my food. The desserts are great. My favorite is the Chocolate Ganache Cake. I think they put cocaine in it or something. The Blueberry Cream Cheese Croissant is a close second but this last one is kind of a lottery. You might get it filled with lots of creamy goodness, or you might get a plain croissant with a hint of something in it. The food is great quality and the price is good for the quality you get. The staff seems a bit lost at times and all locations are VERY loud. You can hardly talk among your friends if the place is half full. Bön Appetite!

What kind of café can’t sell a side salad? A lot of us go to La Madeleine for the soup, but soup alone doesn’t cut it for lunch. I simply asked for a bowl of soup and a side salad. Two different people told me that in order to get a side salad, I had to order the combo that came with 3 items. I didn’t want 3 items! I only wanted a soup and salad. I asked if I could just buy a side salad with the soup, and I was told NO. I could’ve gone anywhere else to get a soup and salad, Panera, Mcalisters, etc. The soup was good, but not filling. Next time I will skip La Madeleine’s and go to a restaurant that cares about customer’s desires.

Had breakfast the past weekend here and loved it. Hubby got the french toast. This is definitely different, the bread was a raisin croissant, flaky and sweet. I got the eggs with a croissant. Also got the Yogurt Parfait. It was divine, sweet but not overwhelming with crunchy granola and juicy strawberries and blueberries. Definitely a great breakfast option. The latte is amazing with the breakfast. The people are friendly and the price is great for quality food.

Great brunch place. It gets a little tight in space but good french café food. Spinach or caeser chicken salad with strawberries are one of the best I’ve tasted. And their quiche lorraine is great! For the sweet tooth, they offer wonderful pastries and chocolate croissant is delish!

Fast and friendly! The best La Madeleine service I ever had was at this location at dinner time. The lady who greeted me at the pastry counter(she had really light blond hair — silvery blonde), noticed me as I walked in, said«hi» in clear and friendly way, but wasn’t breathing over me as I was making decisions. She also explained the special deal the store had going on(=informed customer).

I am actually a big fan of La Madeleine, just not this location. Here I ended up waiting 10 minutes for a salad order to go, it was far from busy at the time. When I did finally receive my salad, all the cheese was clumped in 1 spot, but while not the most beautiful presentation, that’s something I can fix. What I couldn’t fix was the rancid taste of the«crisp prosciutto», in actuality bacon bits, throughout the salad. As well, I paid for but did not get a palmier. In the past this location was a little slow, but the food remained good. I’m extremely disappointed how bad the Frisco La Madeleine has become.

I had this place bookmarked for awhile so I was super excited when I finally got myself down there to try it. I hate when that happens and the place is just alright after you hyped it up in your head all this time. Their process of ordering is ridiculously confusing and was an immediate turn off. The girl didn’t even offer any recommendations when we told her it was our first time, she just stared at us awkwardly as we browsed the menu. I had the strawberries romanoff crêpe, which was just okay. The strawberry romanoff part was delish. but the crêpe was crap. And a croissant which was pretty amazing. best croissant ever in life. Unfortunately, my lunch dates sandwich was scorched. Not even slightly burnt, like literally scorched. I told him to send it back, but he is just too nice. sigh. I don’t know how you could serve food like that. I mean, it’s black and practically ash. start over. Don’t put it on a plate and serve it! The dining area is very inviting and clean. I’m not sure if we will return, but I hope for a better experience next time, if there will be one.

Cafeteria Style lunch options We decided to have lunch here during our ladies day out. There were three of us and we were having trouble deciding on just one thing so we went through the cafeteria line. We grabbed everything we wanted to try and shared them. Chicken Friand, Quiche Florentine, Spinach Pochette, and Potato Galette. Everything was delicious. The Chicken Friand was my favorite with its wonderful mushroom filling. I saved room for chocolate parfait for dessert and it was worth every calorie. If you don’t see what you want in the lunch line you can also order from the menu. It was my first visit and the hostess was very nice and took the time to explain everything. The service was great. We had a very pleasant lunch. I only wish we had this where I live.
