Southwestern Feet And Ankle Associates

I went in to see Dr. Tran because I had been having an ongoing problem with both of my feet. The problem developed in both feet over a very short period of time, which is insanely weird, and I’ve never had a single problem with either foot. His office was able to get me in quickly, so I made an appointment and went on in.
After describing the problem in detail, and at length, Dr. Tran commented that he thought it was arthritis in my big toe, despite the problem being in the top and middle of my foot, and despite the symptoms pointing to nerve issues. Basically, he had decided what the problem was before really doing much of anything, and then he spent the rest of the appointment telling me why he was right, and criticizing the arches in my feet and how I walk. My big toe doesn’t bend back as far as my other toes do (hint — big toes normally don’t due to how many more muscles and ligaments there are in them compared to your other toes), and that was apparently enough to cement his theory of arthritis. Keep in mind that I’ve never had problems, and *BOTH* feet developed this problem at almost the same time. The odds of developing arthritis in both feet at the same time are astronomically low, and defies logic. His advice was to buy special, prescription insoles that he sells and to never walk barefoot… ever. That’s right — wear tennis shoes in your home when you get off the couch and go to the refrigerator and anywhere else you go. *rolling eyes*
I went and got a second opinion. The second doctor said there was no arthritis and the problem was pinched nerves caused by my new shoes being laced too tightly and not having much padding on the tops of my feet. How Dr. Tran has a medical degree is beyond me. One of the worst doctors I have ever been to. The only good thing I have to say is his incompetence was so blatant that it was easy to recognize. His receptionist was also incredibly polite and pleasant.

Don’t go. He strapped my foot. When I removed the strapping I found out. It had burned my foot. He doesn’t like kids. He is rude

The best foot doctor that you can find! Dr. Thomas Tran is so gentle. He cares about your health. He takes times to explain to you his treatments, and what he thinks will benefit you the most. I had foot pain for years, & I had seen other foot doctors for this problem, but the pain was not go away, until I saw doctor Tran. He prescribes the customade orthotics for my feet. It likes miracle. I can walk all day long, running, & excersicing without any pain. Thanks to Dr. Tran, & his «miracle customade orthotic».
Oh, did I mention that you can get the same day appointment? His staff is very friendly as well.

Dr. Tran was great. He was very thorough in his evaluation and took his time with me, explaining my foot problems in detail. He fit me for custom orthotics and I will review those later. Overall, great experience and my cortizone shot did not hurt!
