Staff was extremely friendly and inviting, gave us complimentary crème puffs when our order was delayed. Love the vanilla crème puff it’s so good, the texture at the top is what won me over. Really enjoyed the ice cream with cheesecake bits as well, the almond waffle cone smells so good when they’re cooking it. Only thing is I wish you could control the sweetness factor as everything was too sweet for myself and the 3 other people I’ve been with there. If it wasn’t as sweet I feel people would be willing to eat more of it and want it more often instead of just going to quench their sweet tooth. We all really enjoyed it but had to share because it got too sweet after several bites and none of us would’ve finished it by ourselves lol.

Typical liquid nitrogen ice cream shop. Ordered two chocolate chip cookies, strawberry ice cream with waffle cone and a green tea ice cream. The ice cream was soft and good but the waffle? Taste burnt. The cookies? My friend and I took a bite and we spat it right back out. Idk maybe it was just an off day? If we are ever around, we shall try it again but we won’t go out of our way.

Chouxed Under Little Pressure Came here around 1230pm on a weekday … Four staff members present(although only three behind the counter). There were only three or four customers present, yet we stood around waiting to order for ten minutes. No one greeted us, no one looked at us; three guys looked utterly lost running around the place. It seemed like all three of them would work on a single order at the same time — no such thing as division of labor here. One guy did finally ask our order, but then turned around to help ring up another customer(and had trouble doing so). It looked like it would take forever to order, let alone get any dessert. We walked out after what seemed like forever. The grand opening sign is still up out front … Sadly I don’t think they’re ready to open yet. I have no idea how other Unilocalers got their ice cream here cause it seemed like these guys Chouxed under very little pressure.

I came here a few weeks ago on a Sunday afternoon. The store itself is very clean, bright, and inviting and there were lots of tables to choose from. Service was really friendly! I think a girl named Crystal helped us out – super nice! We checked in on Unilocal and got a free Choux Crème! It’s basically a cream puff but OMG it was SO good! I loved the crispy texture of the top shell of the puff. I got the strawberry flavor and my husband got the vanilla. I actually liked the vanilla one a lot more and I’d choose that one next time. We also tried their Matcha Green Tea Ice Cream with Macaron Crumbles for the topping. The ice cream was super soft and creamy! The macaron crumbles were blue in color but they were vanilla flavored. Next time I want to try their Macaron Ice Cream Sandwich! Parking: free parking on the street or in the parking structure across the street on Harbor and Santa Fe.

First timer here. I love their nitro iced coffee with ‘half’ sweetener. Strong n not so sweet. I got the free crime puff for checking in. My son likes the cookie sandwich.

Unilocal challenge 2016(32⁄100) This place looked sooo good! It probably is! However, it’s another typical liquid nitrogen ice cream place. I went to Poke Co and got a free green tea cream puff. It was pretty soft and had just the right amount of filling. I also got a cookie ice cream sandwich with the free macaron topping(limited time). I got the Cookie Butter ice cream with an Oreo cookie and a Cinnamon cookie. It was just okay because the cookies were so hard :(It was really hard to enjoy it. I also couldn’t really taste the cookie butter in the ice cream. The ice cream melted fast but at least it wasn’t hard like other liquid nitrogen ice cream places. I probably didn’t order the right things, but I’ll probably be back to try more!

Omg! Just uncovered this awesome dessert place in Downtown Fullerton. Talking about the BEST Ice Cream and dessert place in this Universe. Totally out of this world. Omg! Everything made fresh to order, waffle bowls, cookies, donuts, the creamy ice creams, macarons, cream puffs, etc etc. Definitely a MUST try, my new favorite dessert place. Probably trading my cupcake addiction for this. The place was immaculate, the price was decent for what you get and the employees are super friendly. Tips: The parking in Downtown Fullerton is usually horrendous, but worth the stress for this place. Each order is enough for two. It was super busy at about 7:30 pm on a Friday night. Stopped by this cute dessert shop on a rare date night with hubby. The line was pretty long, almost reaching the door even on a pretty chilly night and because I’m a fan of choux pastry I couldn’t just pass it by! We split the choux + coffee ice cream and it satisfied my sweet tooth. The combo is really nice. Cold but melty ice cream with chewy dough is just yum. I was a little sad cause they ran out of the free choux with Unilocal check-in, but the owner threw in free toppings so that was cool. The staff is super friendly too! It would be nice if they added another register cause the line moves rather slow.

tl;dr — This place is a 2.5−3 star place, but their customer service brings it up to a 4 star. So my friend told me about this place that he had found out in DTF and I bookmarked it. I took my friend here when we were both in DTF and came to a dessert creation place. I had actually parked in their parking lot without knowing it. This place is really close to Kopan Ramen as well! They have an offer on Unilocal where you get a free cream puff with check in, but the guy behind the counter was really nice and asked us were we new here and offered a free cream puff as a sample. He asked us what flavor we wanted to try. Green tea! Whee! After waiting a minute or so, we got our cream puff. The cream puff showed signs of being stale. You could taste it when you got to the middle of the cream puff. The green tea cream that was in the middle was an excellent flavor though and helped make the cream puff, a cream puff. They have so many things, ranging from simple liquid nitrogen ice cream to brownie ice cream, ice cream sandwich, crème bun ice cream, macaron ice cream sandwich, danish ice cream, and croissaint nitro ice cream. There’s too many things to choose from! I went with the cookie ice cream sandwich because for a limited time, you could get a free macaron topping to go along with it! I chose chocolate cuz I love chocolate.(I forget which type of chocolate though). The cookies were dry and not chewy, making the top and bottom parts kinda sad. The macaron parts were really small so I couldn’t really say if it was soft like you would feel in a regular macaron(You also can choose your macaron flavor too!). The ice cream was good, a bit heavier than other ice cream places, but still a great treat to try on a hot afternoon. The desserts here didn’t really impress me too too much. They have a lot of different types of creations that they make(a doughnut ice cream as well) but with the only good thing of me liking are their cream and their ice cream, I dunno if I could try the rest. The prices are a tad bit more expensive than other places. Service here is good though. The guy went over and top to accommodate and help us.

Nifty little find as we were eating at one of our favorite local burger joints and my husband looked up desserts nearby. I decided to give this one a shot as it was something new to us. This was another one of the many nitrogen ice creams out there. Located on Commonwealth and just past Harbor(depending on the direction you are coming from) this business can easily be missed and is located next door to a poke place. It seems that they are affiliated. They are next door and advertise the poke shop as well. They currently offer a free crème puff with a Unilocal check in, but this also applies to the poke shop, so I assume they come next door to snag one for customers? I forgot what flavors they come in but I got the strawberry. I know one is chocolate and it was hard to pass up but I thought I would switch it up a bit. The crème filling was good, the outside was okay. They offer two sizes, regular($ 5) and large($ 7). Toppings are 50 cents each. I do not remember what else they have besides some sweet treats as my mind was focused and ready for ice cream. I went with the chocolate ice cream in regular size. I wanted cookie dough but naturally it was out. I ended up with almonds. My husband went with a regular strawberry with mini marshmallows. The total was about $ 11.88 after tax. There was a bit of a wait despite not being too busy. My ice cream was finished first so I sat down. I had my husband get his even though they called my name and it took some convincing to the girl even though she had just taken our order and payment. My other complaint is that the place reeked of poke. I like poke, but I don’t need a smell of it taking over an ice cream shop. There seems to be a door in the middle of the two businesses towards the back. I guess it takes over if it is open! I would give it a 3.5 and round it up to a four. I would come back. I really enjoyed mine but there are other good ones out there. My husband did not like his as much so maybe it depends on the flavor, and not smelling poke would be a big plus.

During a recent dinner at a nearby eatery I was looking to see if I could find a place for a quick dessert. We had tried another place in the area and enjoyed it but when I saw this place come up I presented my wife with the options and this is what she chose. The business resides at Commonwealth and Harbor next to a new Poki place and basically across from the Slidebar, Stubriks and other DTF establishments. The pricing here is pretty much on par with our liquid nitrogen based ice cream places but the texture for me was a bit different and the flavors were not nearly as good. Be sure to check in on Unilocal for a free mini crème puff(this is well advertised inside as well). The service here was ok albeit a bit slower than it probablky should have been for the amount of people inside. The major drawback for me was the strong emanating Poki odor coming through an open door for the adjoining business. The smell of fish when trying to enjoy your sweet treat was a bit too much for me and hopefully this is something they will be able to correct. I ended up going with a Strawberry ice cream with mini marshmallows and although good it was not as good as other places I have been such as Creamistry, N2, A’La Minute or Poof(RIP). Would I come back again, probably if I was in the area but I would not go out of my way to come here specifically for this. If you like liquid nitrogen ice cream you owe it to yourself to check it out, just dont go in with super high expectations.

I stopped by Choux Crème on a whim after hearing about it from a friend. Walking inside, it seems like someone took all the new fangled ice cream trends and put them all into one store. I can name a few, like nitrogen ice cream, ice cream inside donuts, and macaron ice cream sandwiches. However, they bring it back to favorites like ice cream cookie sandwiches, ice cream topping brownies, and waffle bowls, and mix it up with their own twists — danish, croissant, and choux crème sandwiches. You must take advantage of the FREE crème puff with check in! They are really good, and the filling is light and airy(choice of chocolate, strawberry, or vanilla). I went the classic route and got an ice cream sandwich, which was about $ 5. You can choose from various cookies, of which I picked macadamia nut. They also offered a free macaron crumb coating, which was nice. The service was friendly and they seemed to put a lot of care into their creations. I think I made a mistake not choosing one of the more unique pastries, to be honest. When I get ice cream sandwiches, I prefer the cookie to be soft and chewy, but these cookies are hard and on the crunchy side. The green tea ice cream itself was deliciously rich and very creamy, as to be expected from nitrogen ice cream. Don’t get me wrong, there was nothing wrong with the individual components, it’s just not my cup of tea and I should have asked. What I will be doing is coming back to get a warm danish topped with that ice cream! Definitely sounds like a good idea. I am still a fan, since I know what they are offering is quality stuff.
