Very friendly service and very fresh fish. Loved the kogi tacos and the spicy tuna salad. $ 20.95 for lunch was a great deal for the amount of food we ordered and for the quality.

Honestly, I wanted to go to Sake2Me but it was too far so we ended up here and I’m so glad we did. The fish is extremely fresh and the fish to rice ratio is incredible! The sunset roll is to die for if you like salmon sushi. The samurai is good if you like spicy tuna. Even the miso soup is better the usual. They do 10% off if you pay the entire bill in cash and free dessert if you post a review!

First time trying out this all you can eat sushi spot. We were surprising seated quickly and didn’t have to wait too long.(10mins). We ordered a a few cut rolls, hand rolls and nigiri sushi pieces. I would say that the sushi with just fish and rice is definitely the way to go. The slices of fish are fresh and they give a small amount of rice.(less rice = more room to eat). If you are paying with cash… check in on Unilocal and get 10% off.

As a connoisseur of all you can eat options, it’s refreshing to find an AYCE sushi place that does not try to get you full on rice. Although sashimi is not on the menu, the options have about a 1⁄3 tsp amount of, which allows you to order different items and not be worried about wasting food. The staff is very friendly and the chefs are very helpful if you can’t decide what to try next, and the orders seemed to come at just the right time so that you don’t have too many orders in front of you at one time nor do you have too much time in between orders to get impatient. experience if you just want to get a lot of in your stomach. Can’t wait to come back and try some other items…

This. Place. Rules! My boys took me here to spend a family night out with great sushi. Suffice it to say, this place didn’t disappoint. I literally loved everything I ordered, and J.J. the waiter is the BESTWAITEREVER! Friendly, helpful and hooks it up with whatever you want. GOHERENOW! Once again I’m completely astounded by this place.

Great, fresh sushi. I went with a friend during lunch and it wasn’t crowded at all. There was very quick service. After we placed our order of over 60 pieces, we received our food within 10 minutes. The fish to rice ratio is awesome for their nigiri. The fish is thick and easily wraps around the rice. Also, if you write a review, you get free dessert! A plus is the music is pretty awesome. We recognized an oldie song that was in Fallout New Vegas LOL.

Came here past 10pm thinking it was still«all you can eat» menu but wasn’t. Anything past 10pm is happy hour which means half off everything, or mostly everything. Must say they should state it not only in front of their restaurant but also online.(If it is stated, my bad!) Of course with any restaurant, there will be quite a wait for food when there’s a full house. Some of my favorite rolls are superman roll & crunch dragon! I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for all you can eat sushi!

Came here twice and this is now my third time. First was great. Second time was mediocre. Third time is the same as the second… if not worse. Not a fan of the huge display of KPOP. It’s cool and all, but not everyone is into that. The music is pretty loud where we sat too. Came in at 10:30pm and was quickly notified that they don’t serve AYCE past 10pm. That kind of ticked me off but hey — the heart wants what it wants. Service is a bit slow. I get it. Nights winding down and you’re tired. That’s cool. But I c u. Our lady server was afk a bit. The guy who came in when she wasn’t around was decent. The chefs were kind of friendly I guess. Overall experience is worthy of 2 stars.

Came to this place after reading Unilocal review. Went beyond my expectations. They have really good salmon sushi and great special rolls too. In addition, they had this great beer bottle happy hour thing, pretty cool. Awesome service. Honestly, did not have to wait that long for my orders to come out. Definitely will come again.

3.5 rounded down to balance out all the 5* reviews out already. Pros: –AYCE menu is extensive! 52 different rolls, full assortment of sushi, hand rolls, salads, and kitchen items like soup, gyoza, and baked mussels. –Bottled beer is also half price for AYCE. –Sushi has a fantastic fish to rice ratio. Best I’ve ever had so far, with tiny bits of rice to long pieces of fish. –Their albacore is my favorite! Cons: –Service. This is what really drags this place down. Some servers/waiters have been on point for us, while the others are often slow to notice we need anything or get our next orders. Also, on several occasions here, wrong plates of rolls and sushi were delivered to the wrong tables. –For some, this place is a fantastic, bar/club feeling place late at night. While that appeals to many, I find that it can be too dark, too loud, and too stuffy. Overall, if you’ve never been to AYCE, I’d say this one is a little pricey, but good to go to. But if you’ve already got a fav place, it’s not worth driving out to. I will be back again, just not too soon and only when I’m craving. P. S. Check-in and get 10% off if you pay cash for dinner after 3.

When it comes to AYCE, I’m an underachiever. All-I-can-eat is probably less than all-you-can-eat. So when Hoshi Sushi’s server told me they only have Happy Hour after 10 p.m., I felt no loss of motivation or appetite. HH turned out to be a better deal for us, ringing in at less than $ 40 for 2 with the inclusion of 1 hot sake. Rough breakdown of HH: $ 2= 2 pieces of Sushi $ 3 = 1 Handroll or Regular Roll $ 7 = 1 Specialty Roll $ 5 = Hot Sake The cuts of fish are the same size as their AYCE, smaller than the average size you would get at a non-AYCE place but still reasonable with a balanced fish-to-rice ratio. I’m not a fan of the rolls as they only offer a couple that are rice-less. The ratio of imitation crab mix to raw fish in the rolls is also higher than the menu photos suggest. Service was pleasant. Water and ginger refills came without need of request. Big smiles don’t hurt either. They are open till midnight every night, which means those late night sushi cravings don’t have to wait. They don’t have to hurt your wallet either.

The only reason why this place has high ratings is because it advertises that if you write them a Unilocal review, you will get free ice cream. They bribe their customers with a 10% off discount too for checking in. Don’t be fooled by the Unilocal reviews and the looks of this place. Also, look at all the«Not recommended» reviews that this place has. Usually those are 5 stars reviews that are hidden because employees or owners write them. But there are a ton of 1-star reviews whose voices deserve to be heard, at least for entertainment. Like many of the other reviews stated, the service is extremely slow. There were only 2 servers running the entire restaurant during the weekday night that I ate here. The owner lady ignored us when we walked in for like 3 mins as she was too busy playing on her phone to notice that the door behind her had opened and there were new customers just standing there waiting to be seated in the half empty restaurant. But anyways, the service wasn’t really why this place deserves 2 stars. 3 stars to me means average. Like your average Joe sushi place. I compared this to my average sushi places(Sake2Me, revolving sushi, Tokyo Table, Del Sushi) and this place was definitely below average. We received a lot of random sushi items that we didn’t order. At first we thought maybe we just marked a bunch of stuff we didn’t know. But no, we only marked 2 new items, but received about 7 random things that we didn’t order.(After we were done eating out dessert and got up to leave, a server came out with another plate of food and told us that we had one more plate of random stuff we didnt order. Most confusing moment ever… I mean we were eating dessert with a checkbook on our table… did she not see?) The quality of the fish is really MUSHY. Yes, they don’t give a lot of rice which is good, but the fish was not tasty and the texture was gross and mushy. The salmon was also different colors. Some were nice a peach, some were like a mauve red, some were just plain out grey. Some of the salmon was very chewy. The yellow tail and some random fish they gave us were soggy and mushy… gross. Udon was good and the Hoshi roll was good though. Calamari is also worth ordering. For a place that had such a high Unilocal rating and much pricier than other AYCE sushi, I expected a lot more from this place and was left pretty disappointed. Take my word for it and really do read through a variety of reviews coming here. I admit, I checked in and gave them a «5 star review» at first to get my free dessert, but I stick to the integrity of my Unilocal reviews and edited it as soon as I left the restaurant and am writing this honest and truthful post. I actually thought restaurants weren’t technically allowed to bribe customers for Unilocal reviews. The waiter actually pushed it on us before handing us the bill after I showed her my check-in. It’s not HORRIBLE, hence not a 1-star. But I didn’t enjoy the majority of the food here, including the free ice cream that they gave(sadly), and won’t be returning to a place that tries to lure in newcomers with fake reviews.

We came here for their AYCE sushi!!! It was my friend Christie’s birthday, and we had such a wonderful experience. This place was a combination of a sushi restaurant and a lounge, so the ambiance is very trendy. Aside from the sushi, one of the best part of our experience was our waiter JJ!!! He was super nice and attentive to our table. He took photos for us and even took several selfies with us! Hahaha it has been a while since we’ve had such great service!!! It was our first time at that place and didn’t expect to be so full by our second round, even if the rice to sushi ratio was awesome. We had some left over and would have traditionally been charge for wasting food, but since it was Christie’s birthday, the manager gave us three scoops of green tea ice cream instead!!! We will be better next time, and order less ambitiously! #promise We love JJ, and will be back soon!!!

All you can eat sushi in the OC. AYCE Lunch is $ 19.95 and Dinner is $ 23.95 with a current Unilocal check in special of 10% off if paying with cash. There are 40 different specialty rolls to chose from along with a regular menu that includes such items as 2 or 3 item combinations. I enjoyed the variety of options available. I ordered baked green mussels, spicy yellowtail handroll, 9/11, popcorn lobster roll, rainbow roll, aloha roll, spiderman roll and burrito roll. My favorite was the burrito roll which was wrapped in soy paper with crab, spicy tuna and avocado. All the rolls ordered were good. The fish was very fresh and tasty. However, the deep fried items had a bad aftertaste possibly time to replace the oil the foods were being cooked in. The service was terrible. Our waiter throughout the entire night continued to bring out the incorrect rolls or at times forgot to bring out the rolls we did order. We had to remind him of this several times. Lastly, they would not honor our Unilocal check in. We asked for an explanation and the waiter could not provide one. If service improved I would possibly return to Hoshi but with other options to choose from with AYCE sushi i highly doubt it.

My guy and I were hungry late one night and wasn’t in the mood for fast food, so we scoured through Unilocal and found out this place was both AYCE and open late. This place is in a big shopping plaza, next to the Barnes and Noble and Target(closer to the B&N) side. Plenty of parking, so don’t worry. This place definitely has more of a lounge vibe to it, which is cool. They have a big screen that always have music videos on. To the side of the restaurant, they have a full bar, so if there’s a wait, you can just grab drinks there. They have a huge selection of rolls to choose from. We’ve tried several different ones and all were really good. My favorite is the Sunset(no rice, two pieces). Amaze-balls though! The appetizers are amazing as well. Definitely try the kalbi BBQ tacos. My guy is a huge fan of the calamari. The price per person is worth it($ 25). They usually have drink specials with the beers(½ off whole bottles so it’s like $ 3.50 for one). They do offer a late night happy hour from 10pm-12am. Service is pretty good. The first time we went, there were only a few other people there. The second time we went, it was packed and we had to wait, but not too long. The one thing I gripe about is that, every time we’ve put in an order(max is 3 rounds btw) is that, they’ve left something — usually an appetizer or something. I don’t blame them, but they’ll bring it out if you ask. Definitely worth trying out!

Rating: 4.5 Came here last night with my girlfriend for their AYCE sushi. The dinner AYCE option will run you about $ 24.95 a person, which is a little higher than most AYCE places i’ve been to, but you do get the whole menu to choose from. This restaurant has really nice lounge chairs that are really comfortable, as well as a fully stocked bar! I really liked the sushi here; we ordered Tuna, Salmon, Albacore, Yellowtail, Octopus, Tuna roll, Salmon Skin hand roll, Surf clams, Popcorn Roll, Godzilla Roll, and a tuna/salmon roll with no rice and soy paper. I really liked the fish here, the taste was really good and the portions were on point. My favorites that i would recommend would albacore and the yellowtail for sushi and for the rolls the Godzilla one was my favorite. However if you get the AYCE option you should get them all LOL What really appealed to me about this place was the vast extent of their AYCE option. They had every single sushi roll/appetizer available on their menu. The appetizers even included tempura, gyoza, seaweed salad, and a lot more items. You definitely get a good value for what you pay here, most other places give you a very limited AYCE Menu, but not here. Service here was okay, they brought us the wrong food a couple of times, but we ended up just laughing about it because the guy tried to give us a Salmon Skin salad TWICE! LOL. We also had to flag down the waitress a couple times to give her our AYCE order for another round, as well as to get water refills. Besides that, the managers/waiters were really nice and had a smile on their face when you talked to them. I just want to give a shout out to this restaurant for their perfect rice to fish ratio for their sushi. I loved how it was very little rice, to a nice medium portion of fish. I love restaurants that do this, a lot of other restaurants do the opposite and give you a large portion of rice in hopes of filling you up on that instead of the fish because its cheaper. Definitely one of my new favorite places to go for AYCE sushi in Fullerton, the portions are excellent, the menu is extensive, the service is friendly, and the lounge couches/chairs are super comfy! I’ll be back soon to get my sushi fix. Also don’t forget to check into Unilocal to get 10% off, and get a punch card!!! come here for 10AYCE and get 1 free.

3⁄5 stars Food: 2 item combination of teriyaki chicken and shrimp tempura with rice, miso soup, and salad = 13.95. The chicken was cooked right and not drenched with a lot of sauce. The shrimp tempura was fried light and crispy. Miso soup was on point. Service: Busy on Sunday lunch time. Not enough servers; need more staff. We were at the sushi bar and the guy didn’t seem to really have an express interest in us. Asked for the check and to go box. He forgot and didn’t seem welcoming. Customer service poor = not a good tip. Décor: Huge place for large crowds: tables, booths, or seat at the bar. Maybe next time will come back, who knows?

AAAH I really wanted to like this place! an AYCE sushi place with a ton of variety that’s open late has my name written all over it. unfortunately, we had a bad experience across several fronts. I’ll break it down for ya. PROS: *ROLLVARIETY. yeah, half of them are california based, but even still, you have a good 19 others to try. not kidding. *INCENTIVES. I know we’re not buying a car here, but there’s nothing wrong with offering small bonuses. if you check in on Unilocal, pay in cash, and write a review, they pay for your meal and give you the keys to the front door. this time I am kidding, please don’t ask for that. but they do offer something for doing any of the above, from discounts to a free menu item. *YOKO. the bartender. super sweet and came over several times to check on us. made sure our plates were clear and our drinks were always full, even though it was just water. don’t hesitate to sit at the bar, she’ll take awesome care of you. give that girl her own parking spot! CONS: *SERVICE. excluding Yoko, the rest of the experience was pretty disappointing. don’t get me wrong, everyone there was pleasant, but we ordered 3 rounds and there was something off with each one. some items took a looong time to come out, and we had to flag someone down to see if they were still coming. we also received duplicates from other rounds even though we marked the corresponding columns(they took it back, no biggie), and sometimes they simply forgot about things we ordered. *QUALITY. to be fair, this was mixed. the salmon and albacore were decent cuts, and the fish/rice ratio was good. the yellowtail was super thin and didn’t leave an impression. the rolls were very average; there wasn’t one that really stood out. ***PACE. queue the 2 stars. I’ve been to a good amount of ayce spots, and normally they have several sushi chefs on hand and move pretty quickly. they do this so they can give ppl their fill of sushi, then efficiently turn the table to bring in more guests. with a lower profit margin, the more ppl they can bring in, the more they’ll make. there was zero sense of urgency here. even the quick items like nigiri took forever to come out. there was a 30 minute lull between each order we put in. after an hour, I looked over to the sushi bar and saw chefs casually talking, and some of them would disappear, leaving only a couple to complete all the orders. this was the biggest downfall of the night. OVERALL: I went back and forth between 2 and 3 stars, but the pace is what killed it. the price was fine, the sushi was ok, but it took nearly 2 hours to get everything we ordered. the vibe was also a little odd; I don’t think this place quite knows what it wants to be. the décor made it seem like a late 90s club, but they played modern kpop on several screens. they offer specials on bottles of booze, so there were guys getting schmasted a couple tables over, going out every 20 mins to smoke. truth is, you could probly go here, have fun, and catch a buzz while chowing down on some sushi, but my experience left a lot to be desired. after experiencing some of the better ayce spots in OC, I’d rather explore another place.
