4 stars for not having booze, or you’d get 5 since my loves band SOS is playing right now. Super super tiny intimate venue Very living room like Its like a record storeish living room with an area to set up musical equipment but supper loud in such a small setting . Cute, quaint and artsy. In the artsy bar district of Fullerton

Found this place after a terrible experience at another coffee shop down the street. Was so happy to walk in and feel the vibes of this coffee house. They support all the forms of art, have delicious coffee and food, and events happening every night of the week! They switch out the art on the wall featuring a new artist every month so the place is always fresh and different! Best coffee in town hands down. Keep it up Max Blooms :)

I am surprised at all the positive reviews. The hot coffee house is hot mess. It feels like I’ve walked into an AA meeting minus the donuts. The clientele is an old crowd waiting their turn for open mic. The person taking the order, preparing the drinks and making the sandwiches needs to take a customer service class. He was unenthusiastic and offered little help when my friend let him know it was our first time. The iced chai tea was the worst I’ve ever had. Basically iced milk with barely a taste of chai. The sandwiches were pretty good though. I know it’s supposed to be vintage and be a neighborhood coffee house, but it needs to be reimagined. This place is hoarder status… epic fail! Sorry Max :-(

I love this place. It’s so eclectic. The art on the walls, the AMAZING ceiling panels, the mannequin in the front room gotcha feelin a certain way. I love that there’s a photo of the Kraemer Building in Anaheim on the wall(that was my favorite apartment home) from years ago. I love the every changing art on the walls. I recommend that you have the Provolone, Tomato, Pesto Sandwich(or is it Tomato, Pesto and Provolone?) with a bottle of Coca Cola, have a seat outside, relax, take your time and take a drag of your smoke like you know you should.

Groovy Place. Stopped in on a Sunday morning and they had a cool spooky surf band playing called, Stations of The Sun. Grabbed an Ice Coffee and a Pesto grilled cheese sandwich to nurse my hangover. Great band and delicious sandwich. Love the eclectic vibe here. Art on the wall, cool posters, books, DVD’s and some damn good looking neckties for sale. Friendly people working there and hanging out. Not sure on the hours, but on Sunday they don’t open until 11:00 am. Who wakes up before that anyways?

This is a very chill place. I came here tonight for comedy night. The staff was friendly and they serve a mean panini! I’ll definitely drop in next time I’m in the neighborhood.

Stumbled into this place and ended up staying for an excellent intimate acoustic performance. The grilled cheese is pretty good too. Good vibe. Good prices. This seems like a great place to chill.

The very definition of a community coffee shop. The atmosphere in this place is what Starbucks wishes it could create with their cookie-cutter franchises. Open mics for both music and comedy during the week, a fantastic café menu to get a bite to eat, and a mix of local art and throwback replica movie posters make this place something special. It feels like you’re sitting in a friend’s living room more than a coffee shop. Note that they’re cash only and proud of it(but seriously, if you can’t find an ATM in Downtown Fullerton, then you have bigger problems than a want for a cup of joe and a sandwich).

It feels like I am at my cool aunt and uncle’s house with games and music instruments in the living room and auntie and uncle in the kitchen making coffee and tea. It is such a chill spot to come and work or hang with friends!

I’ve been wanting to come here for a while, and my friend kept recommending I go and try the Turkey Panini(he’s obsessed with them). I finally went today got the turkey panini and an iced coffee, both were delicious, and the owner was very nice. I will definitely be back to try the Garlic Bread Burger and maybe pick up a poster.

Came here with my sisters to enjoy a simple night out but was pleasantly surprised at how rowdy and fun everyone here is! The regulars all know each other and get along so well! The owner knows just about everything about music(mostly in the 70s-90s era). Also on Wednesdays and Thursdays they have open mic and everyone is amazing! I am absolutely and most definitely coming back!!!

I have been here for few times. Like this time all the time, there’s band performing during the weekends(; Food and drinks need to be pay in cash but it’s worth it. Def. a nice place to hang out with friends or family! This is a place that I feels like home that I can relax!!! For sure I’ll come here more often!

I came using a groupon. It is a nice quaint little spot. Their sandwiches are ok. They have different cakes periodically and some where really good. They have live music and poetry and just little couches and it is a nice little chill spot in downtown Fullerton. Not my thing, but it would be nice for some people I know.

This is by far a phenomenal place. The coffee is a delightful and aromatic road to happiness. It perks you up, and imbides you to a happy day. The food, straightforward, home cooked quality. The environment is copecetic and whimsical! Where whether you’ve wrote the symphony, or was the page turner for the maistro, you are welcome here. Now where else in Fullerton can you find that? You gotta love it! I know I do! Rock on Max Bloom’s! Signed, Chef and author, Barbie Glasrock

Down the alley/back parking lot from my work office. Got in here today shortly after they opened at 10am. Only one customer was ahead of me and his beverage was poured rather swiftly and carefully. This, I like! I keep ordering the same thing when I come here, a large, decaf, ice blended mocha with whip. ITIS perfectly crafted EVERY time, so justifiably delicious(not sweet at all, which is good with me) if it came in an extra large cup I’d seriously sin for that size o_O ! Love to browse the prints, books and memorabilia sprawled across the café while I wait for my order. That didn’t take long either. I also dig that it’s away from the hustle and bustle of Harbor Blvd and nestled quietly on Malden instead.

This place is great! Lovely ambiance, reasonable prices and tasty treats! I absolutely love this place! Kevin, the owner, is very friendly and runs a lovely café with a unique film noir vibe. You can buy books, posters, scripts, and even play the piano he has near the stage. Enjoy FREE events Kevin hosts throughout the week and month! There’s open mics Wednesday-Friday nights(music/poetry x2 and then comedy only on Fridays). There’s also free movie nights too(dates and titles are posted on the Facebook page, website, and at the counter in the café)! It’s a perfect place to take anybody or just to treat yourself! Especially when DTF, and Orange County in general, is full of places that all feel unwelcome and exactly the same. LOVEYOURSELFANDGETDOWNTOBLOOMS! :D

I’d been wanting to try out this place for awhile now and after taking my sister to PAS, took a short stroll over and finally tried this café out. It was the middle of the afternoon, so the place was quiet and had only a few other patrons. A man being interviewed for the fullertonian and a man working through grading papers. I order myself a hamburger made with a pesto spread and mozzorella served between two slices of an amazing garlic toast. I still think about this burger and that is why this café is getting five stars. Everything else just is an added bonus.
