Great sushi! Their baked Lobster was amazing and the sushi tastes fresh and is not crowded by too much rice. Not to mention best ran sushi establishment I have been to. ORGANIZED! They are quick, don’t mess up phone orders, and servers really strive to make you happy. Good organization and well trained staff reflect the quality of this place.

Clean. Nice atmosphere. Great service. This is the second time I have done the AYCE. It was well worth the price.

The only reason they are getting a star is because of their price and portion size. We came here for my dad’s birthday. The atmosphere is that of a college sushi restaurant. There was only one table available, not because they were busy, but because the other tables still had dirty plates. Our food sat at the sushi bar for 5 minutes because both servers were helping a female at the front. After they were finished helping her, they went to clean the tables. Without washing his hands, the server went from cleaning the tables to serving us our food. My dad asked for a spoon. And asked again. Then asked again. We had to ask three times for a spoon. The restaurant wasn’t even busy. We came for happy hour. They didn’t even take off the 20% until my dad asked them about it. Would not recommend this place to anyone.

My first time on a steady Thursday evening. I came in with a group of 8 but half were under 6 years old. The server was nice and friendly even though he was the only server there for about 10 tables. We asked his opinion on some items on the menu and he was honest about it. This guy was so nice, he even apologized when I got my check because he felt his service wasn’t great and he decided to remove the gratuity that is normally included when you come with a group. We still took care of him since everyone saw him running all over the place trying to take care of his guests. I only dine at sushi restaurants when my family craves it. My wife enjoyed her meal. My wife enjoyed her sashimi but didn’t care for that roll with pink crumbs(Forgot what its called but my wife said it tasted like cereal crumbs sprinkled rubbed around it) and my daughter devoured the California rolls. I ordered the spicy sesame chicken with tempura sides since I don’t eat sea food. My plate was good but I got it late like every sushi place I been to. I have never gotten my chicken plate out at the same time of before anyone else’s order at a sushi restaurant. Overall the experience was good. The majority of it was because of the server. Because of him I’d definitely come back.

Five stars for the food. Orderer 16 pieces of seared salmon and a few other orders. Sat at the bar, the chefs were attentive, the waiters not so much. Some waiter was running around doing some hops and sliding about. But still managed to take a while to refill our drinks haha I came here extremely sleep deprived after a long shift at work too. So I was sort of out of it and started putting down my orders weird. The waiter took mah pencil and mah paper. Felt like I was punished hahaha I didn’t have a problem with it, it was funny. Might be back.

Favorites: shiro maguro, ono tuna, spicy scallop nigiri. Fish was flavorful itself, but they also added vegetables to enhance the taste. Staff was approachable and efficient. Best part was their killer happy hour. Two large beers gets you a hot sake and our entire bill was twenty percent off. Lovely!

All cooked Euclid Roll, FireCracker Roll & Angel were also very delish. All had tuna Definitely will be returning. I have been missing out!

The ayce option was very satisfying and priced fairly. Nigiri selections were good quality, but I found the rolls to be somewhat average. Baked salmon and scallop rolls? Yes! Unagi Tempura? Not so much. MJ is a fun server, was very prompt and pleasant. Give him a high five when you see him, it makes him laugh.

My husband and I are regular attendees here. The sushi is incredible, the service is amazing(hi MJ!!) and we love the fact that there is always old school R&B playing! My favorite rolls are the Summer Roll and Lemon Roll. Both are very refreshing and oh so tasty. I’m so glad we’ve found a place to go for sushi that is consistent in quality of food and of service. Two big thumbs up!

Order: ayce sushi(3rounds) Price: $ 22 Comment: pretty decent fish choices… but a bit too generous on the rice. Limiting roll choices. If you want those fancy rolls, you have to order it separately. The salad was served in never-seen-before bowls.

Yes, come here! Been here twice for dinner and it wasn’t busy so servers kept coming to our table if we needed assistance. Score! The dinner entrees really fill you up. For only $ 15 dinner entrée: chicken teriyaki, white rice, gyoza, miso soup, salad, California roll, and orange slices. This deal you can’t pass up. For me, I wanted to try there Udon so I got the mixed tempura udon entrée for $ 10 which included gyoza, salad, and orange slices. Not bad, right? Well besides food price, the food was enjoyable and filling cause they give you soo much. They give you a considerable amount of rice. I love rice! I love the décor of this place, cute little artwork and small pieces of fish displayed around the walls. Even a tray of candy before you leave. choose your lollipop! haha. I still haven’t tried the ayce and keep missing out on happy hour. I’m a sushi type of girl so I’ve read mix reviews but someday I”l try out the sushi.

The reason my friends & I specifically came to this spot was because they offered AYCE(dinner: $ 26.99). Originally from Las Vegas, we’re spoiled by a plethora of AYCE sushi restaurants. First impressions: very clean, fresh, atmosphere. The booths were a little tight for 4 people, but it worked. A little disappointed when we found out that there were limitations when it came to the AYCE menu. A lot of the POP special rolls were not included & we were forced to order whatever they had available. Very unfortunate because there were many intriguing rolls that we would have loved to try. The one thing that really stood out to us was that the fish on everything, especially the nigiri was extremely fresh and tasty. We only ordered a couple of rolls, and did a couple more rounds on the nigiri, baked green mussels, and hand rolls. Take note that rolls come with 4 pieces & are also on the bigger size(per piece). Overall, pleased with this experience, and definitely want to point out that the service & staff are impeccable! Our waiter was very helpful & made sure he answered our questions effectively. The food also came in quickly after we ordered!

All you can eat sushi… after dining at one, you either get added to my list of places I consider and ones that I would not. I wish Sushi Pop would have made it to the former list because I really wanted to like it. The obvious pluses is that it is clean here, the servers and chefs are really friendly(got some sake on the house), and I have to say, lots of people here seem like regulars so they clearly are doing something right. But for me, the quality of the fish seemed a bit lackluster in comparison to other ayce sushi places I go to. My first test usually relates to how the salmon nigiri tastes– this didn’t quite hit the mark for me… it reminded me more of the salmon you would get from a grocery display stand. At a certain point, nothing that came out that evening(with the exception of the halibut nigiri) screamed anything special and it seems to happen at more establishments than not, but one of our hot appetizer orders was simply forgotten. But is isn’t all negative– if you’re into rolls as opposed to nigiri, they definitely have that here for you. The other positive is that they only give you 4pcs per order, allowing you to diversify what you eat(even if you share or don’t). Check out their happy hour specials, those seem worth it.

First impression: pre-meal Super friendly/borderline over-enthused waiters, but I appreciate their effort. The place was full so we sat at the bar, but as soon as a table opened up, they relocated my family and me. Even with the quick turn around, table was neatly set and clean. Plus from me! A quick glance over their menu and saw a great combo deal. Two items off a select menu for $ 15.95. I got the donkatsu(pork cutlet) and the crunch shrimp roll(additional $ 1). The rest of my family ordered the ramen special that was on one of those plastic inserts on the table. So if you’re following along, we have three ramens, 1 donkatsu, and 4 rolls coming for us. A good amount of food, but I was thinking when you go to most sushi places and get their combo plates, you know what you get? A plastic bento box of disappointment. But not at Sushi Pop. First the rolls came out, and these rolls are GINORMOUS. And they’re big not because they put a ton of rice in it, but they had great, fresh ingredients in it. The crunch on the crunch shrimp roll was still there; it hadn’t been mushed by the other ingredients. The rice was sweet and vinegary, had a good bite to them without being overly sticky. A good compliment to the rest of the roll so that you only need a little bit of soy sauce and wasabi. We dug in and started feeling our stomachs get filled. But then, the rest of our food came out. Three bowls of ramen… and these bowls are like those extra-large bowls that you see at phở places. Then my donkatsu came out, and we were running out of space. The best part of the meal was when the super friendly/borderline over-enthused waiters pulled up another table next to ours to put the extra bowls of food. I cringed at the fact how much of a fatty fam fam we looked to other people at the restaurant. Donkatsu was crunchy, while tender and juicy on the inside. I could go back to this place just for the donkatsu. The ramen was more of a Korean style ramen, spicy and probably a thinner broth than it’s Japanese cousin, but still solid. But the highlight of the meal was when we mistook the owner as one of the super friendly/borderline over-enthused waiters. We had a nice chat with him, he shared his journey of coming to own the restaurant. He seemed young, like late 30s/early 40s. But when we commented on the portions, he said that what brought him into the restaurant business is because he loves to pour out to others. We talked about food, and he gave us a taste of the cheek of a yellow fin that was perfectly grills. Delicious and fatty. We were so full but we couldn’t pass on the green tea ice cream. Overall, I want to come back. I want to come back and try the AYCE option. Sushi Pop. If you’re in the Fullerton area, it’s definitely worth«pop“ping in. Hahahahah… yeah.

I’m being nice giving 2 stars to this establishment. First off, they had 2 server/cashiers. Getting seated took like a year. There were many open tables that have not been cleared since they were too busy running around. Ordering anything and getting our food took a decade… AND the plates we were given were still wet and dirty. The food was okay but nothing outstanding for a 4.5 star AYCE joint. BTW, AYCE here is ONLY3 rounds… Would that be still considered AYCE?!? Also, what threw me off was that they give free stuff for writing a review. I think if you show a «5 star» review, you’d be able to get a free soda or ice cream or mochi ice cream. I wonder if they would still give free stuff for a 1 or 2 star review?!? The reason for the additional star is for the friendly courteous staff that tried their best. It’s not their fault they are understaffed… Highlight: Free soda or ice cream or mochi ice cream for writing a review… Overall: Reviews are fishy… lol
