Nothing better than a little hipster, small town, independently owned sandwich shop. That is exactly what you’ll get here. I think my favorite part of 2 Dog is the artwork. It’s like walking inside a tiny, pet inspired gallery. Yes, their food is good, unique, and fresh(advertising a local family they are supplied by) but what you really come for is the atmosphere. Today I had the cold veggie wrap with fresh BlackBerries and watermelon. I also couldn’t leave without trying the chocolate tort. It was very much worth the calories! I’ll be back because it’s a little piece of Gainesville, Georgia culture!

Fantastic service in a great spot, open on weekends when other restaurants are not. Recommend for brunch!

Love 2 Dog. The prices are very reasonable for well-prepared entrees with a healthful angle to them. Lots of vegetarian /vegan choices(I had the grilled portobellos with sauteed spinach and a side romaine salad last night). My wife scarfed down her fish tacos and they weren’t stingy about bread & olive oil. The wine list has enough variety and quality to satisfy any pallete(we drank malbecs). I wish they had a bigger patio but the staff is very friendly and accommodating inside out out.

We stumbled upon 2 Dog looking for food after a doctors appointment with some time to kill, glad we did. The food was absolutely amazing, Bacon Bleu burger was delicious and cooked to perfection. Their salad dressings(made in house daily) were incredible. The service was great, Leah took care of everything and her personality made the experience that much better. All in all this is probably my new favorite restaurant and by far your best bet to get a good bite to eat with some great service in Gainesville.

Love this place. Pimento Cheese Burger is one of my favorite things to eat anywhere. Also, the Alfredo my girlfriend always gets is the best I’ve ever tasted. The portobello mushroom appetizer is insanely good.

I’ve been eating at 2 dogs since they were at the square where Avocado’s is now. As always the food and service is great.

Love, Love, Love 2 Dog! I like that they always have different specials(even though I usually stick to building my own pasta… it’s too yummy to try anything else!) I love the different soups they have at lunch, green river ranch salads are always a family favorite and the peanut butter pie is SOOOO good… we always have to share a slice every visit! 2 Dog breaks the menochny of the typical chain restaurant. Definitely one of our favorite places to eat!

Loved this place! Nice try on the gouda fritters. They are yummy but need to be accompanied with a sauce, especially as an appetizer. I asked and received a green ranch dressing which was tangy and tasty. Try the Rosa with grilled chicken. What a sandwich! Ordered two sides: black bean soup could’ve been cooked a little longer to sudden up the beans but was savory; and the sundried tomato and sausage dirty rice was on point. Quick, courteous service and prep. For lunch, don’t let the outside appearance fool you. Very causal and homey on the inside. The décor reminds me of «Lost Dog Café» in Folly Beach, SC. It was kinda weird, but in a good familiar way. Can’t wait to come back for brunch! Good job. Gainesville and northeast Georgia, you gotta try this place!

Great quaint restaurant with a diverse menu. We went for Sunday brunch and the fresh squeezed orange juice was delicious even at $ 5 a glass! They have lots of gluten free options and vegetarian choices as well. Our group had mixed reviews — my salmon Benedict was to die for. Our friends had a veggie burger and regular burger and ended up sending one of them back for something else. They were great about the return and worked to find him another choice. Would definitely go back.

I love this place. As I state in all my reviews I am on a gf/vegetarian diet. The food choices here for me were excellent. They offer gf bread with any of their sandwiches, have a variety of salads and sides, and the service is super friendly and personable. On my last visit I had the cheesehead sandwich and a side of cold potatoes with olive oil, salt and pepper. The sandwich comes open faced with melted feta and other cheeses on top. It is always cooked to the perfect consistency and I could probably eat one every day. The atmosphere is laid back with a nice patio. There are tons of choices on the menu. I can’t wait to go back and try more.

So this is a cool place here in town in Gainesville. More places like this are needed! Great décor and atmosphere. Staff was very nice and attentive. Great local beer selection. The food was well prepared and very tasty. Portions could be larger for the money but the quality made up for it! If your looking for a nice meal and want to avoid the chains try this place out!

What a nice surprise just off the square in downtown Gainesville! We came in around 9pm on a Saturday(which is quite late by Gainesville standards) in need of sustenance after a late night event. While initially a little concerned that the cloth napkins and tablecloths meant the prices would out of our budget, we found lots of reasonably priced items on the menu, which covers everything from southwestern(quesadillas) to Italian(pasta bowls). My dining companions were pleased to find that though 2 Dogs does not serve hard liquor, they offer PBR for $ 2.50/bottle. They started off with a round of those, as we noshed on the complimentary bread and olive oil. For my starter, I enjoyed a small roasted veggie salad, and I loved the still warm portobello mushrooms and roasted peppers, as well as the yummy pesto vinaigrette dressing. Because one of the best things about being a grown up is getting to eat dessert for dinner, I selected the homemade peanutbutter pie as my entrée. Holy moly. In a world where desserts, even at nice restaurants, are often outsourced, finding a real, homemade dessert for just $ 5.50 was a treat, as was the pie itself. It was a giant piece with a thick, homemade graham cracker crust, loaded with a mousse-like peanutbutter and cream cheese filling, and topped with a layer of chocolate ganache. This dessert was a standout. Even better, the plate was garnished with loads of additional WARM chocolate ganache. I stole a few bites of my companion’s chocolate chip cheesecake, and it was also delicious and not your typical dense cheesecake. Two weird things here though. First, their water glass here are lilliputian sized(maybe 5 oz glasses). Second, the bathroom is actually inside/through the kitchen. Those two weirdnesses aside, I will definitely be returning to 2 Dogs, for more than just dessert and cheap PBR.
