Atmosphere is authentic and unique. If you want a cozy atmosphere to sit and enjoy a cup for a little while this is your best bet in Gainesville. Coffee and food could be better. I ordered a quiche and it came out burnt the first time so the staff member quickly suggested she get me another one, but the second one came out cold. Overall a decent coffee shop though.

Customer service was pretty much nonexistent. Waited in line for someone to ask for our orders, but had to flag someone over. Then when asked for recommendations on types of coffee, the employee looked annoyed. Paid got my coffee and on our way out, the employee said something along the lines of «if everything were free, we’d have a line all the way out our doors.» I might be overstepping by assuming it had to do with me not tipping, but I believe tips are earned, not expected. There were no other customers waiting in line for orders the whole time we were there over a 15 minute period. I’ll stick with Octane or Boulder Creek when looking for something third wave.

Located in downtown Gainesville, Inman Perk Coffee is a nice, hip coffee shop that offers a wide selection of pastries, beverages, and even ice cream. Love how they have comfy couches to sit on, instead of hard wooden chairs. I used to frequently stop by here for the ice cream. They always have a fun flavor that you can’t get any where else nearby.

And you thought you could only get Inman Perk in, well, Inman Park? Nope! The second location of your favorite intown coffee shop is located wayyyyyyyyyyy OTP… all the way up in Gainesville, Georgia. Yep, a solid 75 minute drive from the original. And you thought Alpharetta was far away! The nice thing is, is that this spot has kept its hipster cool despite its location in the boonies. There’s still really diverse seating options(indoors, outdoors, sofas, study tables, etc) and solid coffee. The baked goods all looked super tempting, and you can even get a solid sandwich(made to order) and some seasonal Jake’s ice cream flavors. And the building itself is rather charming — historic and right on the square in the downtown section of Gainesville. Parking is free on the streets, and there’s also a big municipal deck. So why only three stars? They are slow. as. molasses. I waited in line for over 15 minutes on my most recent visit just to place my order. There were only four parties in front of me, and three people working behind the counter, so I can’t tell what the hang up was. But sadly, this was a similar case as my first visit over the summer months. So, all in all, a solid place to grab a cup and catch up in Gainesville. But, don’t expect to drop in for quick caffeine fix.

Slow af. But the coffee is good. The employees are authentic and at least, it’s not that baby-killing socialist Starbucks.

Perfect everything. The setting and location of this place makes it 10000000 times better and their menu is healthy and chai tea latte is to die for. Oh and the people are great.

Slow as day AND night!!! Cool on the inside but not worth a the long wait. Took 15 mins to take care of two people. And had no regard for the line going out the door. Lost my business. Will be using the coffee shop around the corner from now on.

I will probably frequent this place often and hopefully update this review because it’s close to school but I am not a fan right now on my first trip. I’ve never been before so I asked for a recommendation for an iced drink. The female barista with the pink glasses, lip ring and colored hair didn’t even try to help. She just gave an attitude with an «I don’t know what you like.» Ok, ask what I like and give a recommendation or at least try to be helpful. I opted for a small iced coffee with vanilla. After she told me the total I handed her my money. She pretty much threw the change at me and asked the girl behind me what she wanted. I’m sorry, freaking wait for me to get the change that fell on the counter that you threw at me and then help someone else. She has the worst personality I’ve ever encountered at a coffee shop. Her attitude and personality plus the ghetto half and half sitting in a mini fridge is why this place gets 2 stars from me. Also, the iced coffee isn’t even great. Maybe this is an off day, and maybe this place isn’t always so crappy but I’m not happy with my trip here at all.

This is the cutest little coffee shop on the cutest little downtown square of Gainesville. The atmosphere of this little shop is popular, yet underground at the same time. You won’t feel like you’re in a chain coffee shop, although there’s another Inman Perk in Inman Park in Atlanta, which is just as cool. It’s never packed like a Starbucks, but there’s always a good crowd there that makes you think«this place is probably pretty good.» The drinks are great, and the baristas will accommodate pretty much any request you have. They have a decent food selection with sandwiches, cookies, muffins, and even ice cream! I’d happily spend any afternoon here sitting on a comfy couch with a chai tea latte and a good book!

I love stopping by the coffee shop anytime im on the square. It’s by far the best coffee in town. The shop it’s self has an amazing atmosphere. I have never once been even bad service, everyone is alway so happy which rums off on me. This is a cool coffee shop everyone should at least go to once!

I LOVE the Perk. I feel like I should thank them for helping me get my college degree because I would camp out there and use their WiFi. Of course I also go there because their coffee and snacks are delicious! Much smoother than starbucks and better company.

A few times a year we come to Gainesville, GA and we always enjoy stopping at Inman Perk and getting coffee. The coffee is always really good. I love iced coffee but need it decaf and the barista at Inman Perk was happy to accommodate me by making a decaf iced americano with room for cream. She even recommended adding chocolate flavor and that made it delicious! Since my husband is in grad school right now, we actually visited twice this time we were in town and stayed there so he could work. Between the coffee, the environment and the customer service we had a great time. We will definitely be back when we are in town next time!

Love this coffee shop. The atmosphere is a thousand times better than Starbucks, and it has tons of comfy inside seating, inside-outside seating(like a porch) and outside seating. I also love the low lighting too. The baristas were really nice when I ordered, and didn’t mind any extra weird requests that I always seem to have when ordering anything. Another plus is that they have delicious hormone-free natural ice cream. The only thing I did not like(but not worth losing a whole star over) is that they do not list their prices(at least anywhere I could see). The women’s bathroom was well kept and clean, but the sink faucet is a little short, thus causing your hands to touch the inside of the sink(you know what I’m talking about if you’ve ever been to this bathroom). Overall, totally awesome place. Definitely go here instead of Starbucks!

Awesome little coffee house! Great meet up spot! Tastey treats that are great to just grab and go! Chill hang out spot for a casual coffee, read a book, or to meet friends. But, sometimes tough to find a parking spot :(

Inman was perfect especially when I attended Brenau. Just a short walk to the square and the open patio in the back was the place to be. Met many locals and had a blast ruining eardrums while horridly playing the piano that they have inside. The staff is always nice and I love the décor especially the chalk walls. Best place to study, not too loud and indoor and outdoor(smoking) seating.

This place has a really cool vibe, right on the square with both indoor & outdoor seating and a smoking section out the back door. The décor is modern and comfortable– combining the exposed brick of the old building with the modern light fixtures, making this a great place to plug into their free wifi, sit on their comfy couches or tables and do some work while enjoying a nice smooth cup of coffee. As opposed to some national chains, you can replace regular milk with almond milk in addition to the other alternatives more commonly found(e.g. soy). The staff is friendly, efficient and accommodating. They are a dog friendly establishment. Bypass the chain and support this independent, more interesting shop. Well worth it.

This is quite a cozy place right at the Square. I think the prices are a tad(just a tad) pricier than Starbucks, but I like the homely atmosphere – and less of the crowds. With this location, you will find more of the locals – elderly, business men/women, unique characters. It’s an interesting atmosphere. This is definitely a place worth visiting because there’s a nice vibe that’s much different than the franchises. Take a book to read and enjoy the spacious seating. –There is free WiFi if you’re wondering about it.– Better yet, buy a sweet treat and read it right at the Square. The menu selection here varies from sandwiches, bagels, cakes, teas, coffees, and etc. I fairly enjoyed my mocha frappé. It was most certainly appealing, and it tasted superb as well. I would probably come again real soon with my book and enjoy the approaching fall breeze.
