Burgers are very good, as are most other things on the menu. Nothing earth shattering. Just good, quality comfort and pub food at reasonable prices. You’ll enjoy your lunch. Its kind of in a weird spot, so unless you’re in/near Haile, you probably won’t make it over there.

Was in the area for a wedding and the manager had a huge attitude problem. Won’t be going back ever.

A group of 20 for lunch, two days in a row, in just an hour, with people ordering anything off the menu, is not an easy task, but the professional restauranteurs at Limerock Rock handled it with ease! Thank you so much for the excellent service and great food. It really helped to make my event a success. People always remember the food!

My classmate and I dined at Limerock last weekend. We ordered 2 drinks, 2 appetizers and 2 burgers. When the appetizers came out we asked our waitress if we were able to cancel our burgers as the appetizers were larger than we thought. The waitress said yes. Moments later the manager came to our table, outwardly agitated he stated several times that we were«uncool» for canceling our orders because the food was ready. He continued to scold us while we continued to apologize and then brought us our check. We signed the check, left no tip and each wrote«very rude» and«will not return» on our checks respectively. We then left the restaurant and headed towards our vehicle. While we were walking my classmate stated«don’t turn around but I think the manager is following us», we then turned around and the manager that scolded us had followed us outside of the restaurant and down the sidewalk yelling«you don’t know fucking shit.» He then continued to yell at us for not tipping our waitress, told us that we «did not belong in Haile Village» and to «get out of Haile.» When I told the manager that I live in Haile Village he told me that I did not and that«if we did not leave [he] would call the police and have us arrested for trespassing.» Mind you, we were steps away from my vehicle. We then informed him that we were law students and he continued to yell using what we believe to be racially charged language/words. My classmate and I were in such shock that we left crying and called the police. I worked in a restaurant in Washington, DC for each summer throughout my college career. While I know that canceling orders is annoying for a restaurant(and we did apologize), I have NEVER treated my customers the way I was treated here. I have also never seen a manager treat its customers the way we were treated here. Let me point out that Haile Village is a majority Caucasian community in Gainesville Florida and that my classmate is racially ambiguous with parents from Africa and I am black. I have never ever felt such blatant racism in my entire life. The experience was incredibly disturbing.

Food was average; service was good. $ 9.50 for a glass of house wine? I won’t be back

Stopped by Limerock road on the way out of Gainesville for a quick bite to eat. I was not surprised to see a perfectly decorated and comfortable resurante. Complimented by friendly staff and great food We had the Shrimp Brushetta for an apitizer. It was excellent. Served so warm that all the ingredients melted perfectly together. I could have just eaten the tomatoes. The shrimp just added the extra wow. We finished with a Ruben and a Philly FANTASTIC. John & Sunny Marti

Wife had a burger which was perfectly cooked medium and very tasty. I had a $ 12 shrimp entrée which was terrible; a meager quantity of medium-sized shrimp which were terribly overdone. Side salad was surprisingly large and very fresh, Ranch dressing tasted homemade. Friend had a tomato cream pasta dish which was drowning in sauce but tasty. Go for the burgers and the service, which are both great.

This place has a great neighborhood bar feel. They have a nice selection of beer and wine. The wine pour was generous, so no complaints there. Our waitress was friendly and was fairly attentive. The problem with this place is the food. The buffalo chicken appetizer was kind of bland. We had salads with grilled chicken and fish. Both of the proteins had the frozen taste. I would not recommend the salads. The next time we will try the burgers since that is what they are suppose to be good at. We won’t give up on them yet!

Love this place… has a small neighborhood pub feel with pretty good food. Met the owner and he’s very present in the operations of the place which is great. Every time we’ve been there we’ve seen him. Definitely recommend this place.

Heehee, I feel lucky my experiences haven’t been as bad as the others. I’ve been here a few times when we were looking for bar fare. Not bad, not great. I like the selection of beers and fast service sitting at the bar. I ordered a chicken wrap that was ok. My fiancé got the blackened chicken pasta that easily could have fed 3 people. The take home box must have weighed 5 lbs even after he had his fill. It was great for diner the next night. All and all its a pub. And I think it’s a locals/regulars/friends of the owners type place. For being in Haile I would have thought this place would be schwanky and upscale but it’s not. My search continues.

This place is an unbelievably amazing place… to watch the rich people be horrible to their children. I witnessed a 9th birthday party in which little Susie was treated as the annoyance at Mom and Dad’s cocktail hour. There were ~8 adults getting crunk while Susie got children to interact near based on whether Mom and Dad liked their parents. Susie got a text from a couple of her actual friends asking if they could come and Mom said, «No, you already have two friends.» Oh yeah, the food… over garlic-ed caesar salad, greasy but delicious chicken spring rolls, pretty sad chili, steak was underwhelming, green beans didn’t have the ends cut off, waitress knew nothing about the menu, they got orders wrong and didn’t take out items requested, no steak knife given, and many more examples of lack of quality at this bar-restaurant-what kind of place is this-oh let’s make a place that you can’t pin down by creating zero theme so everyone and no one can enjoy. Come to watch the rich people be awful and miserable. I have no negative view about money, just the people who think it makes them something.

I’m giving 2-stars so I don’t sound cynical. This restaurant is bad. The waitress told us that they are known for their burgers, we should have probably listened. We got shrimp paella, the artichoke quesadilla, tomato soup, and a Caesar salad. The paella was awful, the quesadilla was pretty typical, and the soup was average. The service was good. Our waitress was attentive and helpful. The outside seating and good beer selection made the whole experience bearable.

Two stars is a generous rating for this place. I really, really, really want to like this place. It’s the closest bar and restaurant to my house, they have decent beer, and the food isn’t bad as long as you don’t get something fried because it will be saturated in grease. Stick with burgers and salads and you’ll be OK. But alas the service from the well meaning girls that work there is absolutely atrocious. I don’t know if I can really blame them because it’s clear they have never been trained. The whole front of the house seems incredibly disorganized. I’ve gotten checks delivered faster to my table in Europe, but I digress. Finally, the restaurant has a strange smell to it(I think it may be that fryer) and they most definitely have a fly problem as we all had one die in our drinks.

Had a great experience here this weekend, food was all pretty good. Cesar salad was fresh and HUGE. My daughter enjoyed her burger. Their homemade baked chips are really yummy, as is their homemade chili. One of us had a side of coleslaw which was also surprisingly fresh and delicious. Their desserts looked great but we didn’t have room to try them because their food portions are so big! It has a neighborhood bar kinda feel, which is cute if that’s what you are looking for.

Perfect local place to eat. Relaxed atmosphere, food is always good, consistent. Have had most everything on the menu. Service is great. Kid friendly, there is a park right next door. Nice place to walk off dinner afterward too. Steaks were ok, sandwiches are better. Good assortment of sides and beers.

Cute little neighborhood place. Waitress was very attentive and fast. Started out with the fried green beans with creamy tomato dip — completely and utterly addictive! We both ordered burgers — the Main Street and the Colorado. We had fries and salad as a side. Let it be known — I am a salad connoisseur, and this one was both fresh and full of an assortment of lettuces and veggies. I appreciate that. Burgers were cooked perfectly to our liking and were very tasty burgers. And if there’s anything I appreciate outside of a fresh salad, it’s a tasty burger! Definitely a keeper! Looking forward to our next visit! (Saving the last star for when they totally knock my socks off…)

This place is just average, all around. As is the fate of nearly every establishment in the Haile Plantation Village Center. Which in and of itself is weird because a lot of the people that live out there are pretty wealthy in comparison to the rest of town so you’d think nicer, upscale restaurants with good food would thrive there. Not so much. Anyway, it’s just whatever. Service is good but not great. Food is decent enough. They have traditional American food like pork chops and steak as well as «unique» things like vegetable paella and pineapple chicken. Also a tempeh burger for ye vegan folk! It’s Artie’s Tempeh too! I’ve had some of the BLTs and salads and I’ve never been disappointed. I can’t imagine messing up a BLT or a cobb salad too bad though. If you’re in the area, taste and price — wise this is your best bet. They have a full service bar but it’s also pretty kid and family friendly.

Love the margaritas and gator tail appetizer. The duck is yummy, the ribeye is fatty, and the burgers aren’t half bad. Service can be pretty slow. Fun gathering place — love coming here to meet friends. Outdoor seating in the fall is a must. The white twinkle lights in the village plaza add a magical feel to the evening meal.

Decent happy hour from 3−6pm, though minimal menu options. Definitely try their green bean fries — yum! Fresh tasting and with good sauce, too. Perfect to share at the table. Decent beer selection, minimal wine choices though, they also have a full bar of liquor options though I’ve never had liquor drinks here. I’ve been 3 times and only on the 3rd visit did I have service — from Kelly — worth raving about. I will say that all times I’ve been here the restaurant has been out of menu items. The last time I went my sister wanted an item they said had been taken off the menu 6 months ago but never updated! DUMB. The place is small, has outside seating, not much to speak of in terms of ambiance. Not great for larger parties. Mostly would go back for happy hour/after work drink and appetizer. They rarely market their restaurant so unfortunately can’t say I’d be surprised if they went under simply because I’m not even sure — aside from Haile residents who live close by — who know they even exists.
