Gave them a phone call to ask how much it would cost to change the battery on my wristwatch and was told $ 10, which in my experience is on the steep side but decided to go there anyway because I would be in the area. Walked in and gave the guy my watch. Practically the second he looked at it he said, «Oh, this one has 4 screws, that will be $ 15.» It was so quick I felt he was prepared to say it ahead of time. I’m not sure why two more screws is an extra $ 5, and I’ve never seen a wristwatch that *didn’t* have 4 screws on the back plate, but I automatically fell for this old trick despite having read about it in my psychology class a few years before, where the seller will raise the price at the point of transaction because very few people will walk away when that happens. I just haven’t met very many merchants that stoop low enough to use it on their customers… 1 star for the service, +1 star for a successful battery replacement. Edit: Battery died within about a month. Avoid this place like the plague.
