Rolls ‘n Bowls is great — think Subway for sushi, where you pick your rice, your fish, and your toppings. I may be showing my bias, but I usually get all eel and rice in my bowl. It’s close enough to una-don to satisfy my cravings. It’s not the highest quality fish in the world, it’s cheap enough, and for what it is, it’s just right.

I came here with the correct expectations and was not surprised. When it comes to food surprises are not always the best thing. They give the customer too much creativity, so I was able to see disastrous meals happen right in front of me, just like at Genghis Grill. Not everyone knows how to cook or the best flavor combination to include in a dish together, especially when it comes to combining flavors in Japanese style cuisine. The layout is very thoughtful, with a thoroughfare around half of the dining area in case lines form at the ordering counter. The cooks and the ladies at the register were very sweet and helpful. However, that does not make up for the lack of quality compared to price of the food. If the quality of food was a little better and they had bubble tea and lower prices, they may be able to give Bento some competition. We had three simple rolls, two orders of fried wontons, and two fountain sodas= $ 33.00 before tip? Seriously folks, that was way too expensive. Sure, skinny college girls may only eat one roll but us normal people over the age of 23 like to eat more than one roll for dinner. I could have gone to a real sushi restaurant for that price.
