I use to love this doctors office back when it was located in Montgomery Village and Dr. Pedreira was here I actually used to come here as a child and I liked it so much I take my infant here. Since she has come here I’ve had some of the most rude interactions with the front desk staff and billing department. I don’t know if it’s because I look young or what. They constantly question me as if I’m not telling the truth and they NEVER even attempt to say my daughters name correctly. Charlie Renee. I’m not really sure how you get Charlotte or Charquett out if that. Other than Dr Desouza & some of the nurses I feel like I’m dealing with rude robots. If you’re going to work in a pediatricians office you should have more personality and actually care about your patients no matter what your position is.

Our family has gone to Children’s Pediatricians and Associates since my oldest daughter was just two years old… she’s now 14! So, needless to say we’re very happy with the practice. We have four children and all of them have received wonderful care from all of the doctors at Children’s Pediatricians. I’m not sure why the person who gave the bad review had such a bad experience, but that is unfortunate and it certainly hasn’t been my experience for the 12 years we have gone to this practice. The front desk staff has always been very helpful, the nurses are kind and the doctors are also very kind and knowledgeable. This is a great pediatrician’s office! I took away one star because on occasion I have felt as if the doctor didn’t listen closely enough to what I was explaining was going on with one of my children, but I find that occurs at practically any doctor’s office. As parents and as patients ourselves, we have to be advocates for our children’s health and our own health, and we have to also realize that doctors are human and they make mistakes too. So, I have learned to be more persistent and to continue to do my own research and ask more questions if I disagree with any doctor. Keep up the good work Children’s Pediatricians and Associates!

This is the most unfriendly, unkind, depressing pediatricians’ office I have seen. Any place that works with children is supposed to be happy and friendly especially when they are dealing with little kids and/or sick kids who are already not feeling well or even if are well are generally intimidated by a doctor’s office. You will not see a smile on anyone’s face here. The environment is more like a hospice than a pediatrician’s office. Starting with the phone call you make to set up an appointment, I have never heard a friendly voice on the phone and they seem to have little flexibility. When you go to the office, at the front desk once in a while you will find someone who is a tiny bit pleasant otherwise it is all business. Then comes the worst part, the nurse screams out your name and as you get up you just follow her to the room. There is no «hi, hello», there is no introductions at all — I don’t know the names of any of the nurses as they don’t care to even introduce themselves. They take you to the room and give instructions to undress or get on the weighing scale or whatever in the most stern/businesslike manner. Even when they are about to poke a needle in a child, there is not a friendly or kind word even with the child — it is disgusting how mechanical and emotionless these people are while working with children. Even when the nurse gave my child a flu shot, there was not even an attempt to be gentle or kind about it. Although there is no shortage of flu vaccine in the market, when I went there for another appointment and asked if my child could get the flu shot I was refused saying they were giving it only to high risk kids and to call back another time. I thought all kids fell in the high risk group. The last time I went with a health issue for my 8 year old child, the PA walked in and started talking to my child for the full history of symptoms etc without as much as an eye contact with me let alone acknowledge my presence or ask me anything about my child. I was like a piece of furniture there. They must think 8 years olds are full adults to provide all information and take all medical advice. The only good thing I would say is that the doctors I have dealt with for illnesses or physical exams at least make an effort to diagnose and treat the problem or send for further tests and investigations. That is the minimum one can expect from a healthcare provider anyway.
