A Sunday taste treat at Gaithersburg’s Church of the Redeemer! $ 2 gets you a 12 oz cup of shaved Hawaiian ice and unlimited shots from their flavor bar. (I recommend limiting yourself to a maximum of three flavors, lest your creation become an unappetizing shade of brown).
And unlike other Kona Ice trucks, this one sells ice cream, chocolate, strawberry, and vanilla. Prices were pretty reasonable — $ 3 for a single scoop or $ 4 for a double. Combine the ice cream with the shaved ice and make yourself an ersatz halo-​halo!
