Came here for lunch under the recommendation of my co-workers and they definitely did not let me down. Had the teriyaki chicken box which was delicious and tried a Philadelphia roll which was very good… coming back later in the week for dinner :)

Came here for carryout. I really liked the salmon set, white tuna sashimi and dancing eel maki. Quality is better than yoyogi nearby but they don’t have as many specials as sushi oishii. The love at first sigh maki roll had too much mayo for my taste but it wasn’t bad and california roll is pretty good. The restaurant is pretty nice inside too and I would come back to dine in.

We are new to the area and gave them a try due to the positive reviews. Unfortunately it is the worst sushi I have had in years. The Avocado Salad said it was the spring salad with avocado. The avocado salad arrived and was a bed of shredded lettuce with a sour mayo based dressing and an avocado. There were no carrots or other veggies that were on the spring salad They also tried to pass off imitation crab meat as fresh crab meat. They barely knew the difference. The edamame was under cooked but at least salted. The benches are cheap and the music is horrible. It is decorated like a fast food sushi join. I would never return or recommend to anyone.

Good sushi… very very very nice customer service… this is compared to the rest of the restaurants that are run by Chinese folks

The sushi is delicious and fresh, but I wouldn’t put it high above others. What really stands out here(above other sushi and non-specific Japanese restaurants) is the ramen. They use a wide variety of fresh veggies and always bring out the spice seasonings without me having to ask. My go to is ramen with splitting a volcano roll with the hubs Also, they are always extremely generous with the wine pour. Wine isn’t anything special, but a fairly good value for a restaurant

Was in the search for a sushi place near my work. The food here was a big hit for my family. The beef teriyaki dinner was quite filling with lots of delicious beef, broccoli, rice, and either miso soup or salad. My nieces enjoyed it as much as I did. I ordered an shrimp tempura(not with any veggies) and was perfectly fried and quite large. Asked for 8 pieces and was gone pretty fast :) The avocado and California rolls were fresh and quite large compare to other places. The chirasi sushi plate was quite large too and my wife enjoyed it very much. They offer party platters at very reasonable rates too, so i think I may order this for my next potluck dinner party :) Friendly service and will be back!

I used to go to Taipei Tokyo in Rockville for years to get my sushi until I noticed Roaches running along the sushi prep station and said no more. I figured I’d try this place out because it was new and much closer and I’m glad I did. Place is immaculate inside and the staff is extremely friendly. They have great prices for everything on the menu and from what I can tell, the quality is great. Give this place a shot and I’m sure you’ll enjoy it as much as I have.

Yiku Sushi is my new favorite sushi joint! Their special rolls are ah-mazing. We had the Crush on Yiku Maki(Spicy crunchy yellowtail, avocado, salmon, eel, wasabi mayo, sweet sauce and sliced almond) and Love at First Sight roll(Salmon, shrimp, crabmeat, avocado, fish egg, wasabi mayo, and hot sauce). YUMMY! The wait staff were beyond friendly, welcoming and knowledgable, service was fast and the food were delicious. All in all, Yiku Sushi is definitely worth a try!

Great service and really fresh sushi. I love the lunch special with the 3 rolls for $ 9.95. The inside of the restaurant has a great atmosphere and service is great. They are flexible with menu changes. I’m always happy when I get sushi from here. It’s on my list along with Love and Yuraku!

My husband and I wanted to try something new and found Yiku on Unilocal. We typically go to Yoyogi in the Kentlands or Tokyo Sushi in Germantown, for reference. We went for dinner on a Sunday and were seated immediately. The place is modern and clean and has a great, relaxing vibe. My husband loves trying new things, so he tends to be a little more adventurous than I am. With that said, they have some really great specialty rolls that got my attention, so I actually left my comfort zone and tried something new. I wasn’t disappointed, and loved the unique rolls. One of my go to rolls is a simple avocado roll and they really fill it with avocado, it’s definitely the most avocado per roll that I’ve ever had! The service was good and we were offered a free dessert of mango pudding. I was full, but managed to cleanse my pallet with some fresh mango pudding… I recommend it, it’s a perfect light after dinner snack! Overall, we were very pleased with our new find and will definitely go back soon! If you’re looking for good sushi at a good price, I highly recommend this place.

Our fav sushi place is closed on Tuesdays. What’s a girl gotta do to get sushi? Venture out. Their Lunch Specials are very decently priced and reasonably portioned. The Teriyaki Beef Bento Box came with 3 large, well-rolled California rolls, a salad, rice, and the teriyaki meat of course; hubs said meat was a tad on the chewy side. I enjoyed the tasty salad with ginger dressing. I ordered a miso soup and their 3 sushi rolls for $ 9.95: 2 shrimp tempura rolls and one spicy tuna roll. The miso soup was hot but the seaweed and tofu tasted a tad too mushy/soft. The rolls were well-presented and taste was there. Some things I didn’t quite enjoy about their rolls? The shrimp tempura rolls(while they use actual Japanese batter and the shrimp were decently sized) were on the oily side. The spicy tuna roll didn’t look like one slice(as I’m used to); it was more diced up tuna mixed with spicy mix and rolled into the roll. The place is new, but was so clean. The service was attentive, for an Asian establishment — thumbs up! For lunch, the price point and quality were all there. This is def a decent spot to get your sushi fix when you’re in the area.

Heard from my friend about this place. Came here after the big snow storm. There are a few people eating there with some others came to carryout. Halfway of my dinner, more people came to dine in and they are getting busier but still well organized. Food: fresh and taste good Service: very friendly and quick Environment: new, clean and very peaceful. I will come back to try other specials.

This updated review is based on the lunch special that I ordered! 3 rolls for $ 9.95, awesome deal! I ordered the salmon roll, eel avocado roll and the salmon avocado roll! I called in the order and they were super quick! By the time I got there to pick up my food, I was in and out within 2 minutes. Rolls were delicious, everything tasted fresh! I highly recommend this place for a great deal for sushi lunch special :)

Yiku Sushi is tucked away on the left side of the Giant shopping center on Muddy Branch Road. I’m excited to have a new sushi spot so close to home! This place has quality sushi for a great price. They offer a wide variety of regular rolls as well as specialty rolls. The fish tastes fresh and the pieces are cut into the perfect size. I love that they offer the fresh and smoked salmon, and their spicy yellowtail roll is so delicious! Their lunch special is great. They offer 2 rolls for $ 6.95 and 3 rolls for $ 9.95. There is plenty to choose from including rolls that do not have fish(sweet potato, mango avacado, etc). The best part is the lunch special is good on weekends too! Wish this place right down the street from me, I know I will be a regular! The staff is really friendly and attentive. We needed to alter a few rolls because of allergies and that was done perfectly without any hassle. The place is well decorated but casual. Great local option!

Boyfriend and I wanted a light lunch and thought we’d try out this place. We were one of 2 people in here at 12 pm on a Saturday so service was very attentive and quick. We ordered a sashimi regular and a lunch combo of 2 rolls for $ 6.95(we got spicy salmon and eel with avocado). The rolls were a good size with a decent amount of fish. I liked them. The sashimi were cut in some of the thickest slices we’ve ever seen! It was definitely a nice surprise. The sashimi seemed pretty fresh. All in all, it seems like a pretty good place for lunch. They have some nice lunch deals, so I’d definitely come back to try their other rolls and lunch items. Would also be interested in trying some dinner entrees.

This place hasn’t been open for long, but I’m already a huge fan of the lunch specials and plan on coming back many more times. If you’re familiar with Love Sushi in Gaithersburg, this has a similar lunch setup with a good variety of rolls, 2 for $ 6.95 and 3 for $ 9.95. The sushi comes out very fresh and stuffed full of meat. There are a good selection of both regular maki and veggie rolls so everybody can find something to enjoy. I’ve been here on both weekday and weekend afternoons and have never seen a large crowd. Service is very quick and efficient. The dinner menu also looks delicious — I will definitely come back for that sometime.

After returning from NH, we were craving for sushi. We discovered Yiku via the Unilocal app. We called to make a reservation just in case it may be packed on a Friday night. Since they don’t have an alcoholic beverage license, we got hot green teas and a Thai Iced Tea. I like how there were free refills for hot tea and that the Thai Iced Tea was made with real tea and condensed milk as opposed to powder and water. 1. Fried Tofu, five long sticks of panko crusted silky tofu served with dashi broth. 2. Yellowtail Scallion Roll, six rolls filled with chopped yellowtail and scallion. 3. Futomaki, nine rolls filled with shrimp, crabmeat stick, tofu skin, tamago, cucumber, pickled squash, avocado, and tobiko. 4. Sweet Potato Tempura Roll, six rolls filled with deep fried, tempura battered sweet potato and drizzled with eel sauce 5. Eel Cucumber Roll, six rolls filled with marinated eel and sliced cucumber and drizzled with eel sauce 6. Sashimi Deluxe, 20 pieces of fresh and thickly sliced pieces of tuna, salmon, yellow tail, white tuna, red snapper and served with wasabi and pickled ginger 7. Chicken Teriyaki, tasty, grilled, dark meat chicken marinated in teriyaki sauce and garnished with sesame seeds and served with blanched broccoli, sliced tomatoes, and a bowl of rice. 8. Salmon Teriyaki Bento Box, box consisting of three slices of grilled salmon in teriyaki sauce, 3 pieces of avocado and crabmeat«California» rolls, salad with ginger sesame dressing, and rice. 9. Chicken Teriyaki Bento Box, box consisting of grilled chicken in teriyaki sauce, 3 pieces of avocado and shrimp rolls(due to peanut allergy), salad with ginger sesame dressing, and rice. It would have been nice if the bento box also came with shrimp and vegetable tempura and miso soup.

Decent sushi with beautiful presentation! The location is good(it’s super close to me) and the food is well-priced. I came for dinner on Sunday night with my boyfriend and we ordered the Red Dragon Maki($ 10.95), yellowtail scallion roll($ 4.55), salmon avocado roll($ 4.50), tuna avocado roll($ 4.50), and a yaki udon with chicken($ 9.95). The presentation of the Red Dragon Maki was really well done, although I didn’t think that the spicy tuna on top was very spicy. The yaki udon was well cooked with a delicious sauce covering the noodles. After when we were paying, the waitress came by and asked if we wanted to try tempura on the house. They gave us banana tempura with chocolate sauce drizzled around it and a dollop of whipped cream. In general, I’m not the biggest fan of warm/hot bananas, but the tempura was still pretty good. I’ll definitely be back because I’d like to try out some of their other specialty rolls!

It’s a good sushi spot. Not 5 starworthy, but a solid spot to go to on a regular basis. The fish is of a good quality and doesn’t taste fishy. The ramen looked good, but I haven’t tried it and the servers were nice and attentive. The lunch specials are similar to sushi house, but there’s a better selection of rolls too. The Chirashi could have had a better presentation, but the fish was delicious. This place is close to my house, and not expensive, so I’ll be back frequently.
