We came here last night for ice cream. I was really excited to try it here after all of the great reviews. My husband got a small cone with cinnamon toast crunch ice cream. I got a medium cup with a scoop of cinnamon toast crunch and a scoop of mounds. The mounds was good and tasted like the candy bar. My husband and I agreed that the cinnamon toast crunch ice cream was terrible. It was vanilla ice cream with soggy cereal pieces that lost all of their cinnamon flavor. We were expecting cinnamon ice cream with something crunchy in it. If I’m in the area and come back, I’d try a different flavor and ask for a sample to try first before ordering.

Excellent! They have actual water ice here. Not the stuff in grocery stores, not the horror of whatever it is that Rita’s sells, but really Philly-style water ice. In styrofoam cups, with plastic spoons, the way God intended. Ice cream is quite good, too, and the service is friendly. But, get the water ice — there are fewer and fewer places around that still make and sell the good stuff.

Too many great things to say about Lindy Hops! Love the 50’s theme and the friendly atmosphere. Mint chocolate chip gelato with either chocolate or vanilla ice-cream is excellent and creative, don’t typically see this type of water ice. I also like the flavored dips for the ice-cream, and the wide selection of hard ice-cream flavors. The hard ice-cream is just the right texture and softness. They also make ice-cream cakes to order.

Love their milkshakes. Coconut plus anything is a win. So many good flavors to choose from and you can mix them up.

A Galloway ice cream staple. Quick and friendly service with 50s style décor and doo-wop music. A wide variety of hard ice cream and water ice flavors. They have a pretty unique mint chocolate chip water ice which is worth a try. They also make a mean root beer float! CASHONLY, but they have an ATM inside

A Galloway tradition is Lindy Hops. A friendly locally owned ice cream specialty store! They have lots of choices that make a warm Spring day or a hot Summer day better! Always go for the hard ice cream! There are lots of choices! Enjoy!

This 50s themed ice cream store is great. All home made ice cream and water ice that are delicious! Lots of interesting flavors. I tried coconut and mounds, and both were terrific. My husband said his ice cream soda was one of the best he has had! Cash only.

Homemade ice cream that is a little pricey, but worth it if you like well made ice cream. I got a waffle cone with a scoop of coffee and a scoop of bailey’s ice cream which was creamy and indulgent. I was surprised at the large variety. They have a window to order from outside as well so on the hot summer days you can just eat outside on the benches out there.

Very delicious ice cream! The Mississippi mud, cake batter, blueberry, red velvet, and salty pretzel were incredible. Fair prices, too! The only downfall is that they only take cash, but there is an ATM inside.

Best ice cream in South Jersey! Most of the staff is friendly, the owners are both very friendly. They are a little bit more expensive than DQ, but you get what you pay for here, unlike DQ. I would choose Lindy Hops over any other ice cream places in town! The ice cream is so rich and creamy, but light at the same time. It’s not heavy on your stomach like some hard ice cream is. They have tons of ice cream and water ice flavors and toppings to choose from. The only reason I gave them 4 out of 5 stars, is because they only take cash. I have a hard time having completely respecting a business that doesn’t take cards. It’s 2014, it’s time to come into the new era. I know for a fact they lose business over not taking credit cards. They just put an ATM in there that looks like it costs $ 5, and the last few times I’ve been in it’s been out of order. I just think that they need to bite the bullet and get a credit card machine.

Lindys ice cream is superb! The 50s ambiance is super cute but the ice cream is really why you gotta come & try it! The ice cream is so creamy & delicious I wish I lived closer so I could come more often! I ordered a cone with their salty dog & caramel toffee ice cream. Next time I come back I want to try graham cracker & pumpkin. Next summer mango & lychee are on my list! Delicious!!!

blueberry ice cream is quite good! sign says«all ice cream homemade on the premises». it tastes true. friendly staff, very pleasant 1950s style atmosphere, plenty of seating… Unilocal has location wrong on the map it is at 401SOUTH Pitney Road(not north) sharing parking lot with a strip mall that has a Shop Rite, across street from Wawa

They have the best ice cream, it is all made freshly at Lindy Hops. My favorites are the Mango and Lychee ice cream. They actually use fresh lychees to make it, which is hard to find. The staff is always friendly and the ice cream always tastes great. My only gripe is that they do not take credit cards! It is 2012, they should just charge me an extra dollar and take a CC, I hate having to run over to the bank or Wawa just to get cash.

We’ve been going to Lindy’s for so long now. the Mississippi Mud is practically to die for. Always have enjoyed their food. Our oldest goes for the Pistacchio & that’s very good. Almost worth the drive from Mays Landing, can’t wait for them to open for spring. Like most parlors, CASH only, the environment rocks w/50’s look.

One of the things I look forward to when I’m back home! Everything is homemade and there’s lots of flavors to choose from. I always get a cherry gelato w/extra vanilla soft serve ice-cream. The girls at this place make the best banana splits, in my honest opinion.

This place is so cute. I’m surprised noone else has Unilocal’d it yet. They have lots of flavors, not just the obvious ones. I’m a fan of chocolate cheesecake and the birthday cake icecream that has sprinkles already mixed in. I also love the oldies theme they have going on with the décor and music.
