The rita was only good because being a bartender myself for a restaurant with a tequila list I knew just what to order. The bartender/server was not only lacking tequila knowledge to work in a «Margarita/tequila bar», she was only focused on 2 male guests at her bar top. Come to find out they were co-workers!!! She could have made not only a generous tip from an industry worker, but also a regular for a Galveston Island frequenter… And BTW it looked like the drink she was making herself was WAYBETTER than the one she made ME!!!

One seriously UNHAPPYHOUR! We were here, or maybe The Squeeze or The Sideyard or The Rumshack(who REALLY knows?) for an hour. We came for HH at 6:17 and, after being shuffled from one venue to another by the hostess(not sure why?) we were seated at a table near a walkway in the downstairs section. I came for a HH $ 4 Mojito, shrimp kisses and a ½ dozen oysters. It was 6:45 before anyone acknowledged U.S. and even then I was told that I was«in the wrong place for HH mojitos». Okay… So despite what the hostess gal said, up 2 flights I went to find ‘The Rum Bar’. I returned to my husband with our mojitos to find they had delivered our oysters but forgot the shrimp. Which was fine, we could wait… We’re on vacation, we have time. But wait. What’s that? HH is over and now they can’t put our order in at HH price. Wow. Our oysters were so skimpy too! The tiny 3-pronged fork was huge in comparison to the oysters. So disappointed in this place as I had really high hopes from the other Unilocal reviews.

Great place to hang out in a relaxed atmosphere. The Squeeze is part of the Spot complThe drinks are well priced, well made, and the service is great! Furthermore, they sell extra large margaritas which they offer in several large sizes. The appetizers were amazing as well, easily the best fried calamari I’ve had on the island.

We went here because it specifically says dog friendly. My family was turned away because that policy changed at the beginning of the year but they didn’t care to actually update their information. It’s now almost June and I am sure I am not the first one turned away because of their policy. Never made it in the door because of that it gets 1 star for wasting my time.

Great place for margaritas! I really enjoyed the shot sampler they had. They have a pretty good variety of margaritas to choose from. Make sure you get the Mango Rita, it’s awesome! They also have a jukebox where you can slide your card and play what you want. This will be on my to-do list next time I come to galveston!

This place is inside of a building with 4 other bars. It’s really cool to go from 1 bar to another. They clean tables quickly so that there is always a place to sit. Do not go with the house margarita, it’s all sweet and sour mix. If you do get an extra shot in it. They have multiple sizes and you can see them hanging above the bar. Great chill spot.

In the few weeks we have been settling in in Galveston we have been to the Spot three times. I was really in the mood for a margarita and this place had them on happy hour for $ 4. Granted that is a house marg so it wasn’t the strongest but they have so many other kinds and so many different tequilas. The atmosphere is fun and some of the seats are made from car seats. Our server was very pleasant and nice. She was very patient because I couldn’t decide what I wanted right away, so many options! The sinks in the bathroom are really cool(it’s the little things in life) and they are very clean. The only gripe I have is the music was SO loud. It’s a small area and we couldn’t even hear each other talk without yelling over the table.

My boyfriend and I came here and we were pleasantly surprised. First, thi place is connected to a lot of other bars so you can hop around all in one building. The music was great, there was a cover band playing and then they would play good dance music in between time. Many margarita options, I went with the house margarita and another they recommended, wonderful, strong choices.

I love me some Margaritas, so I am slightly biased when it comes to writing this review. I consider myself quite the connoisseur of this magical concoction and I recently added video«Rita Reviews» of most places we visit on my blog. If you try hard you will find me… Google is magic. I will say that no matter how fantastic the bar or options look, you will certainly have to bring it when it comes to making my favorite bevvie of choice. A group of Texas Realtors recently descended upon Galveston island for the annual TAR convention Sept 13th, 14th, &15th. We were all wondering where to go one evening and luckily I was able to recommend this place — thanks to «Yelp’s A Beach» August 18th hot tip. Good– The location is fantastic! Right next to «the Spot» and it’s a stone’s throw away from the beach. So the breeze coming off the Gulf in the evening is amazing! It’s the perfect blend of indoor/outdoor, you can choose to sit downstairs at the Margarita bar or upstairs overlooking the water. The multi-colored lighting creates a festive ambience and you can’t help but be in a great mood. The décor is not too fancy or shabby either you could come straight from the beach or dress up for a night on the town. Now for the drinks —- When I walked up to the bar and realized there was a wide selection of delightfully yummy sounding Margaritas to choose from I faced a major dilemma. Not only were there tons of options but also sizes. Unbelievably, you can choose 20oz up to an amazing 100oz– I am assuming the jumbo size is for sharing with friends or at least one hopes. I finally settled upon the 20oz Margarita Sunrise, but the Mojito RIta was a close second in our group. They both were well made, on the rocks, and a solid 4 out of 5 limes in my book. Bad– You can’t order Ritas upstairs, but you can take the ones you buy with you. Ugly– Nothing to report. I absolutely Loved it!!! Hope they franchise! I want one of these up on Lake Conroe.
