Took forever for fast food and half our order was missing by the time we got it back to the hotel. Didn’t even put silverware or napkins in the order.

My first experience at a Taco Cabana and I don’t plan on revisiting. There were only 2 other families here and we were the only ones in line and it took forever for the guy to take our order. Then we waited another 20 minutes for our food until we noticed it was just sitting up on the bar and apparently they’re supposed to bring it to you. So we went up and retrieved it, then notice some items were missing, so walked back up to request those. Another 5 min and we had all our food. Food wasn’t great either. Steak looked chewed up and was pretty gross. Flour tortillas and chips were good, but I wouldn’t recommend anything else. Overall this location was dirty and employees were very slow and weren’t trying to clean up the overflowing trash containers. One star seems generous.

Consistently dirty and slow. While I normally love TC, this location is sub-par. Yuck!

We come here ONETIMEPERYEAR! The week of July 4th as we’re leaving town. EVERYSINGLETIMETHEYSCREWITUPANDITTAKES A LONGTIME! 3 years in a row now. Management must be the low end of the totem pole. This is sad. It’s not rocket science. Corporate should really make a change here.

First time trying a taco cabana. I ordered the chicken fajita bowl with no shell. It was okay. Probably won’t come here again.

Had good beef enchiladas and my mother in law had a taco salad she raved about. The lettuce was very fresh and everything on the salsa bar.

I am so tired. I just got off work. I came in for one strawberry margarita because traffic is horrendous so I was gonna just sit for a while until it died down. The large guy at the register stood two feet from my face and never once looked up or acknowledged me. Then, he just walked off. Dude. Just say«I’ll be with you in a second maam». It’s not that hard. Sheesh.

I mean it is what it is. I don’t expect 5 star food from here but it’s a step or two above Taco Bell and I wanted Mexican food. I picked my food up via drive-thru. No complaints. Food was hot, and my order was correct. I’m satisfied.

I came here on Saturday 8÷23÷14 and ordered at12:25 paid for my food at 12:33. I ordered an order of street tacos and the lady told me to pull to the front because they weren’t ready. They came to my window at 12:42 with my order. So much for«fast» food. I’ll never come here again. Awful. Just awful.

Food was hot, fresh, and tasty. Dining room was a little messy, but they were busy when we arrived. The only negative thing to say about this location; the restrooms are always stifling hot– and messy. I’ve eaten here for years and each time the restrooms feel as it you are walking into a sauna. Since this has always been the case– I’m assuming something is broken and can’t be fixed or isn’t getting fixed. I still recommend this Taco Cabana for the food– it’s never a disappointment.

Taco Cabana has always been hard for me to quantify, but I do enjoy eating there occasionally. Yummy fresh homemade tortillas set them aside from a lot of other places. They’re a step above something like Taco Bell, but they definitely aren’t a true Mexican restaurant. Whatever they are, it makes for a nice switch from regular fast food Mexican joints.

Unlike Edgar V., I do expect a lot from Taco Cabana. Maybe I’m high maintenance; perhaps I’m a diva. Although I truly doubt it. Really, all I want is a clean place that sells me decent food. It doesn’t have to be haute cuisine, it doesn’t have to be healthy, it doesn’t even have to be organic. But I do want it warm, and I would prefer my refried beans to not be crusty. Because ew. Sadly, this Taco Cabana missed out on all of the above. The place was very dirty; not just because they had a breakfast rush, but actually looked like it wasn’t ever cleaned. The food was cold, and yes, my refried beans were crusty. How in the world do you mess up a bean and cheese breakfast taco?! Ask these guys! They know the secret! The only reason I gave it two stars is because it’s Taco Cabana and it’s Texas, y’all. But if you take an out of state friend here for some cheap patio Tex-Mex, don’t wonder why they think the Bell is wicked better!

Such RUDE service. Some black chick kept getting our order wrong and then asked us to GO inside and get the sauces we wanted after asking 3 times. Such a RUDE server.

08−19−15…must say, I still like the queso still on par. Guan was fresh today. Awesome! 09−03−14 — well today TC got demoted… i got 1 pound of chicken fajita with boraccho beans & rice — plus, a large queso & guac — EVERYTHING was stale or spoiled… except the queso – which was great… chicken wasnt stale or spoiled but, tasted like it was the frozen kind and put on the grill… but, all the rest was just soo disappointing. guac was bitter… rice was dry, beans were mushy, chips were stale…$ 30 down the drain ________________________________________________ the food here is AWESOME when you want something quick and… wait for it… broke! honestly, all quesadilla’s, all enchilada dinners are really good. the queso and quac — YUMmy and fresh

Is it the best Mexican food I have ever had? No, of course not, but they have consistantly good food, a great happy hour, and friendly and attentive employees. I have gone to other Taco Cabanas, and most are not with stopping at again. Maybe it is the Island, who knows. I do miss the days when they had a few more real Mexican items, like menudo, and when they had the big garage doors. Overall, a good place to have a margarita on the patio!

Since Taco Cabana is so close to the office we decided to stop by for lunch last week. I have never heard of it before so I didn’t know what to expect. It reminds of me of a Baja Fresh. To me that means a step above Taco Bell but not as great as Qdoba. There is a huge menu, a big ice bucket full of beers and other beverages, and a salsa bar. I opted for a burrito bowl. I grabbed some of their salsas to try and they were ok but on the watery side. The burrito bowl itself was ok. There were some pieces of rice that were very crunchy but it happens. The service was ok. Not the most friendly, but ok.
