The Shell Shocker is the best specialty drink on the menu, at least of everything I’ve tried – they’re all pretty good, though, so you can tell their bartenders know what they’re doing! Also, I like that they’re open late – it’s a perfect last stop on a night out. Their Crabby Melt is so good. Servers are always friendly. Sometimes there’s a wait, but that just goes to show how good it is!

i will never give them a five because their menu will never reach that level. too many fried foods and not enough selections for people looking for healthier selections. We just really love this Turtle once again. Service is much much much better. food comes out in a reasonable time, and their Black and Blue Shrimp salad is fabulous. The Bartenders make the turtle!!! they are friendly, courteous and helpful. We always eat at the bar because we enjoy them so much.

Food was gross. I got the burger with the crab dip on top(yea, serves me right) and had a stomachache the next day. We only went there because our friend knew the bartender but the waitress was pissed we were getting drinks from the bartender rather than her. I hate going to chains but when I visit family in the area this is all there is.

Four of us ate here on our way back from Baltimore and for a dive-y sports bar type restaurant, it wasn’t bad. The buffalo nachos were different and pretty good. My shrimp salad, however, lacked flavor and the blue cheese dressing wasn’t good at all. The shrimp was also extremely spicy. The others in my party got burgers and steak and cheese and didn’t seem to have many complaints.

Been here twice now. Actually have no connection to the Crofton area at all-just both times I happened to be picking the BF up from the airport and heading south and we decided to stop for drinks. Given the fact that I don’t know the area too well and we weren’t headed to downtown Baltimore, this was an easy stop on the way late at night. The first night we came here was«Thanksgiving Eve». The most packed bar night of the year, if you will. It was decently late(around 11:30−12) and the bar was pretty hopping, a good mix with a live artist we weren’t exactly listening to since we hadn’t seen each other in a month at that point. Bartenders were pretty attentive given the fact that it was pretty swamped, and we spent about 2 hours here before heading home. Came back about a month later in the same situation, heading back south from BWI and grabbed a late night adult beverage on a random Friday night. Less people but still a decent crowd for a mid December night in a random spot in Crofton. Nothing major going on except for a a few hockey fans watching some games. Where the service gets kicked up a notch here is that I happened to leave my phone on the bar top since I only had a tiny little clutch purse on me and as we were leaving I totally forgot it there. One of the barbacks ran outside to give it to me and honestly made my night because we all know how much it sucks to lose a phone. I was driving-it’s not like I was even drinking that night, just scatterbrained! A+ for service from these guys. I won’t even be up here for much longer so it’s not like this is going to become a habitual«on our way home from the airport» spot since there isn’t much along that road anyway. But since it has been good to us in the interim, I’ll keep it in mind for when the mood and timing strikes right!

This review is getting 1 star because the waiter lost my credit card(5 days before Christmas) in a matter of 2 minutes. And she didn’t even say sorry. Prior to this, my table was already concerned about her service because she asked my friend how old she was AFTER she checked the ID, claiming she«gets confused with the years» and«what year it is»(what if this was an underage person she was dealing with?), she also asked for our orders twice within one minute and forgot our beer and waters, upon other things. I’ve worked in restaurants before and completely understand if it was a busy night(even though it wasn’t busy) but the way our waiter, Mary B, handled the situation was straight up unprofessional and rude. She did not approach our table once after she lost my card. My first thought as a server would have been to offer a discount or gift card, but Instead, she basically dropped off the manager to our table(who also didn’t offer anything) and tried not to make eye contact the whole night. When I approached her to talk, she simply walked away from me(and no apology). All in all, be wary of this server and sit-down service. You’re better off at the bar(the one star is for the beer).

The food is average the beer is always cold but my biggest complaint and it’s not just this restaurant, is happy hour only at the bar. So when I go there with my family I cannot get the happy hour discount at the table which is 10 feet away from the bar. I’m being punished for sitting at a table. So from now on when They say it’s only at the bar I say fine I’ll take water and I get up and go to the bar and order my drinks and bring them back to the table if you’re reading this please do the same maybe that would change their practices

DON’T BOTHEREATINGATTHISGREENTURTLE. I’ve given this location several chances to prove me wrong and get it right, but tonight was the last time we’ll ever visit this establishment. Visited for dinner, and while there was a short wait we found a table in the bar area. Our orders took over 45 minutes to arrive, however even then only 2 of 3 orders arrived, and both were wrong.(Specifically ordered a Philly cheesesteak without onions, and a burger with sauce on the side. Cheesesteak had onions minced into the meat, sauce on the bun/burger and not on the side.) Sent the cheesesteak back, waited another 10 minutes for the third meal(Eastern shore Mac-n-cheese) and when the cheesesteak was finally brought back 20 minutes later it was WRONGAGAIN and had even more onions on it than the first time. Had to request to talk to the manager, he didn’t even bother to stop to check on things even though our waitress was extremely apologetic.(She doesn’t cook the food, not her fault the kitchen is horrible.) Previous visits were not much better… Food smothered in too much cheese and slow service. I gave it one more chance… NEVERAGAIN.

The bar tenders are too busy talking to friends rather than serving customers. I see 6 folks waiting. Stay away unless you have a lot of time to kill.

I love staring contests. The bartender loves to play this game as well. Leave traditional greetings at the door, these bartenders love to greet you with an epic battle of agitated eye contact and a general look of discontent. Padding my ego, they stare for a few moments then walk away. Winner and still champion. None of this, «would you like to order something to drink.» Oh no, they are all business… Sometimes they roll their eyes if you ask for drinks. Other times they walk by and ignore you. So if you would like to go to a place and have an epic stare down, be treated as an inconvenience, or some receive some attitude, this is your place. Would you like food or drinks? Try some other bar.

Two stars. Why do I keep going back? Well, first of all, I don’t go there THAT often. Maybe only been there three or four times since it opened. The place is always noisy, even when it’s not that crowded. The walls are jam-packed with TVs, even the booths. It’s an ADHD dream! The food has gotten better, I’ll admit that. When I first visited, it was terrible. I couldn’t find anything nice to say about it. Now, I can report that that chicken tenders are hand-breaded and it shows. They are delicious, though could use a pinch of salt(rather have them under– than over-salted). The drink menu is diverse, for alcohol orders or soft drinks. I can’t honestly say the rest of the food is mind-blowing, though, as most everything else seems to be pre-packaged or comes from a freezer. The service is hit or miss, but mostly miss. The servers do not seem happy to be there, and it shows. Drinks are refilled whenever; sometimes it is frequent, sometimes it is much more spaced out. With as many people that seem to work there, there is no excuse for such gaps in service. The outside patio is constantly crowded with smokers. Not my scene, but it is nice(I guess) for that crew to have a place to call home, too.(Former smoker, so I get it, and I’m not judging). So, back to my question, why do I keep coming back? They are close to my house and open late most nights. For the value, the prices are a little too high, and the quality is not always there. Certain items are worth a repeat order, but for the most part, I’m not impressed.

Our wait staff was pleasant, out going and informative. She may have been in the Navy but we Army guys forgave her for that lol. That Peach Lemonade is the bomb especially with the real chunks of peaches within. The Asian wings were on point and the Quesadilla was small but taste. Best best feature since we missed happy hour was the buy one drink get another free on certain items. Will try an entrée next time for sure. 4 stars for the service it was like dinner and a show lol

This place must have the worst management ever. I have been here easily 20 times and it’s always the same. Order some food and wait for 45 mins to get it. The food is hit or miss. And the menu is actually great, the execution at this location is just terrible. I stopped ordering beers on tap eventually because they have come out warm on many occasions. I was so happy to have a sports bar in Crofton but I truly try to avoid this place now if I can. The location and layout is so appealing that it is hard to avoid when meeting a group of people

My first visit to this place ever. Saturday night and we wanted to do anything outside of the house. Good service and food. Live band for entertainment I may stumble back. Drinks were okay and I had the crab dip and smoked bbq wings. He had the philly cheese steak and sd it was not that great. My food was good.

This was my first time at GT. Went for a birthday dinner for my cousin. His choice. :-/ The waiter was excellent. Food not so much. I tried the cheesesteak. It was okay. I’m not even really sure what the issue was. I think the cheese was sub-par. Seasoned well but the cheese was not a hit. Tried the rasp. lemonade – it was watered down and bland. There was an abundance of TV’s though and I noticed they have a private room.

I can’t say a whole lot about this place. I think the quote that comes with the two stars says what it needs to; I’ve experienced better… better Greene Turtles, that is. The food is just as it is as most of them, meh. The service here, though, is where it falls a bit short of the rest. It’s very touch and go. Sometimes you get a great server, sometimes you get a bad one. Sometimes the hostesses stare at you, seeming confused, before you speak with them. Sometimes the food takes forever to come out, even when not busy, sometimes it’s quick. You just never know what you’re gonna get. I tend to only come here for gameday, and that’s usually because someone invited me. It’s not the worst place ever, just doesn’t match up well the some of the other Turtle’s in the area.

Excellent service, great bar food, and very very good to the military community. 10% off our tabs at the end of the night, what what?! Or maybe that was just the fact that we ordered 20 Grey Goose shots, countless cocktails, and $ 600-worth of booze between the eight of us. Either way, we’re coming back! Thanks Chris! P. S. They were extra friendly to my friend who brought her giant, but well-behaved Great Dane on the patio. Thumbs up!
