So I place an order for a pie with 3 toppings on it, pretty simple, I’m Catholic and it’s Good Friday so I’m not allowed to have meat. They deliver the wrong pie so I simply called them to please bring the right pie. They tell me to come pick up the new pie and bring the other one back. I request for someone to deliver it and they tell me to give it 15 minutes and I’ll have the new pie. After 25 minutes pass I call and they tell me I have an hour wait to deliver the pie less than 2 miles away! I tell them it is absurd and they should deliver the pie sooner than that and the nice lady on the phone tried speaking with the owner and he was cursing and yelling telling me that I can pick it up if I don’t want to wait. This is not how you are supposed to treat customers. This is poor and this will not be the only bad review I leave for this terrible pizzeria.

Good pizza place one of the better ones for franklin square and west hempstead. I’d say they are only second only to carmellas across the board-​menu. Friendly staff but parking horrible especially on Nassau blvd at rush hour. One thing disappointing in the Sicilian slice which is nowhere near as good as the main umberto on Jericho. I wonder why, should be exactly the same but not good at all. Good menu selection, decent prices. Try the seafood pasta dish — rivals any restaurant for like $ 10! If feeling lazy, order delivery, it comes relatively hot.

Since I’m from out of town I figured I would try some pizza during my visit. I ordered a slice of the plain and a slice of the Grandma’s (that along with a small drink was less than $ 6.00). I’ve tried NY pizza before and I think there’s something about the sauce that I’m just not crazy about. So while the plain was done well, I don’t think it was exactly to my taste. But I loved the Grandma’s.
Great meal for the price, but I wish the drink they give you was a large since you don’t get free refills.

Consistent good pizza — buffalo chicken slice. Grandma slice was a little bland.
I come here often enough and order take out often enough to give it four stars despite the bland grandma.
My only hang up — which is with many places — is that that charged me for a refill from the soda fountain. Although I did pull out money with the anticipation of paying for it, I’m just a bit surprised that in this day and age someplace still charge for soda fountain refills. Oh well…

Did the $ 25 for $ 50 worth of food! Ordered a large margarita, 1 cheesy garlic bread, 1 veggie slice, penne ala vodka with grilled chicken and a sausage roll! Pizza was delicious! It was huge! In the bronx, it would be considered a extra large! Would definitely go back. One of the best pizzas in Long Island!

Umberto’s grandma slice is the best. The salad is also good. I will rarely order delivery from anywhere else in this area. I’ve tried a number of other places and I don’t exaggerate when I say that the food almost everywhere else is appalling, repulsive, disturbing, shocking and terrifying!!! Thank you Umberto’s — [And I don’t even like Italian food]… but hey, when in Rome…

from my experience… this place is all about grandma pizza! grandma only!
everything else is just not upto its name…
also dont take by slice… if you want real grandma taste. take a pie with extra sauce. as slices you get there hardly have any grandma flavor due to lack of sauce…
also as someone said. if you eat there and not take a pie. you get cold slices reheated in the oven… not a gud experience for pizza lovers…

They should re-​name the place Um-burnto’s! Their over is probably too hot, and the result is that crust tends to burn. Add the fact that they tend to premake pies on bust days, and then just pop them in the over to re-​heat during peak periods is disappointing.

Best white slice I’ve ever had. Yeah, you heard that right. Best white slice ever. So good I’ll drive from Valley Stream and back to bring home a pie for dinner. That good. Go. Now. GO NOW!

Great pizza. Resturaunt has good Italian food, and the prices are reasonable. The only bad thing is they don’t deliver.
