Came in here today around 5:40pm, they open at 5pm, & when you walk in, there’s a long table filled with trays of seafood, meat, & vegetables. It was an eye opener! My friend and I were greeted and then seated shortly after, then was told it was a AYCE hot pot buffet. How great is that?! Anyway, so after we were seated, our waitress asked us what soup broth, they had 4 different kinds choosing from between thai spicy, house special, sate, & something else. Along with what kind of noodles, either the bun(white noodle) or mi(egg noodle) We chose thai spicy & since my friend and I were indecisive, the waitress brought out both plates of noodles for us to try. From there, you get up like you would at a normal buffet, get your plate, & load it up! They had a such variety of seafood such as shrimp, crab legs, mussels, clams, salmon & some more fish, & squid. They also had a TON of quail eggs(my favorite), vegetables, beef, bo vien, & such! It’s more of an Asian place because they play Vietnamese songs but we didn’t really mind it. The waiters check up on you here & there, they also refill your soup! You can also try different soups as well, I recommend the sate broth!!! It’s actually not spicy spicy but it has a kick to it. ALSO it’s like 15 $ like how cheap is that?!? For a AYCE hot pot, the price is amazing and the food itself is good. Bring your family & friends who loves hot pot/lau and give this place a chance. :)

This place used to have a bad rep(from the banh canh) among ppl in my household, but we decided to give the hot pot a try. For $ 11.99, this all-you-can-eat deal is among the top of hot pot places I’ve tried! There are 5 broth options, and the waitress recommended the Thai flavor — was decent but kinda salty. Plenty of veggie options and seafood was fresh as well. Different from what other reviews said, service was actually pretty good. They asked if it was our first time here, then explained the hot pot buffet concept. Accompanying rice noodles or egg noodles are free too. I would come back!

All you can eat hotpot buffet at $ 13.95 a person. The uncooked food is on a table. There are 4 types of soups: thai, satay, seafood, and combination. The one we ordered was thai and it was not good. Come back? Absolutely not. 1 star for food extra star bc the service was pretty good.

This is so yummy! Mon-Thur after 5pm hot pot buffet is $ 11.99 a person. Price is very affordable especially when the food is so fresh! Will definitely be coming back a lot more often. Love love it here!

It’s all you can eat hot pot ! Great broth selections! Our favorite is the Thai flavor — although the House one is yummy too. There is Sate flavor, too. Good quality items, beef, seafood with extra large and fresh shrimp, squid, mussels. I recommend Their egg noodles –super delicious with the hot pot. Wish they had a two flavor hot pot pan so you can dip in two flavors at once– also wish their display was more«upscale«and not so «home style» like. Maybe I am just picky — these things did not affect my delicious meal that was fair priced and I highly recommend this for you hot pot lovers. I plan on returning this weekend! By the way, they are only open for dinner now.

Overall 4.5 stars(if Unilocal ever has the half-star choice) 1) I love the hot pot buffet deal after 5pm here($ 11 plus tax). There are many fresh choices of fishes, meats and veggies. Especially, the salmons and clams were so fresh on the day I came. However, the hot pot broth was not that great. I would give them 4 stars, but I want to support their business. 2) The restaurant is large and very clean. I find it very unique for them to decorate the wall with large paintings, and some traditional vietnamese instruments by the front door. 3) I had no issue with their customer service. Though, the waitress looked at my plates of empty clam shells for quite a bit because I had a lot of clams I am looking forward to trying their Banh Canh next time.

The Only reason I gave 1 star was because you need the star to leave a review. I would not even give a star more, but if they had negative stars I’d give –5. After reading all the reviews I gave the restaurant a try. after we sat the waitress ask us are we ready to order. With confusion I ask her for a menu and she reply we don’t have menu. Ok then how do we order??? She started naming different broth they have. Then I ask do you serve anything else and she replied no! Then ask for beer. No they don’t serve. Only soda, tea & water. The broth tasted very bland. There was nothing special about the items to put in the hot pot. No crab nor giant prawns. Very misleading Unilocal. Not sure who to hate at this point, Unilocal or the restaurant. Im not trying to hate, but you get my point. Go at your own risk.

I wish I could give more stars, I like the food, but too bad we won’t be back Under staff no service what so ever, it’s Saturday night only 2 people working? Waited for ever to order then again long wait for foods, people from the other table walked out and they can’t even clean up dirty table. I don’t know who’s the owner but I have a message for you… You open a restaurant then do it right, give services, Hire more people don’t be too cheap!

Tried this place out a few days ago. We got the seafood fried rice which came with lobster and other seafood. We also got the seafood hotpot(thai style) for 2 – 4 people which came with a variety of seafood: lobster, baby scallops, prawns, shrimp, salmon, sqiud, fish balls and squid balls. It also came with beef balls and a lot of veggies. You can get either rice vermicelli or egg noodles. Great deal since you get to eat a lot of seafood for a pretty decent price.

WORSTEXPERIENCE!!! We ordered a hotpot no.40 and a fried squid balls for appetizer. Was told by the waiter that it’d take about 15mins for the hotpot. We said it’s fine. Ended up waiting for 40mins and the waitress came up with the check of the appetizer??? Wtf!!! After She knew that it was their fault for forgetting out hotpot, I asked if the hotpot can come out right now?! She said its very busy in the kitchen so she has no idea when our hotpot can be served. Come on you forgot our food and show no makeup attitude. So I left to the cashier to pay for our horrible appetizer. And I got to speak to the waiter who took our order and he claimed that he thought we didn’t want the hotpot but just the appetizer? !!! Does it even make sense we’re going there just the 6 horrible squid balls? THISISSOSTUPID!!! WEWASTEDANHRANDCAMEOUTHUNGRY. BYETRUNGVUONG.

We ordered the Banh canh for 4 and its only $ 30. It was delicious, had a lot of fresh seafood, and the shrimp and fish balls were tasty. Good quality, low price. I’ll definitely come back here since they have the best banh canh.

Banh canh time! I usually go to Song Long for my banh canh cua ca(crab and fish) but my BF’s mom wanted this place so I tagged along. I didn’t like the combinations they had on the menu(I’m not a fan of shrimp) so I opted to make my own! I ordered a crab and quail egg banh canh. If you didn’t know, «banh canh» is like… A Vietnamese version of udon but the noodles are shorter and taper off at the ends. The broth can come thick or normal(just broth). It’s usually garnished with green onions and cilantro. Some people like to add red peppers, fried onions, a dash of black pepper and a spritz of lime. The food came out piping hot and the noodles weren’t stuck together(like most places). The crab was fresh and they kept the shells on chopped crab so I had to work for my food haha… I tried the squid balls… And I’m definitely going to get those next time. My BF got #45(I don’t remember what it’s call). It was a combination fried rice(lobster, mussels, baby scallops, sausage, fried fish paste and shrimp) in a pot. It was on top of a flame to get the rice 1) crispy and 2) keep it hot! It also came with a soup on the side: silken tofu, tomatoes, dill, baby scallops and fried fish paste. It was a bit tart and had a strong dill taste. He really liked the meal! We also ordered a fruit dessert togoooo! Basil seeds, lychee poppers, jackfruit, different types of fruit jelly and other fruits… MMMMMM… Soo gooooddddd Definitely be back. It’s next to Boiler room(used to be a wedding banquet place).

This is my 3rd visit. The first 2 times I tried the seafood Hu Tieu & Mi which were tasty, not as flavorful as I prefer but still good. I changed it up this time and tried the seafood with rice, $ 12.99. The portion is huge, could be shared by 2. I finished the entire pan myself. It was bursting with flavor mainly from the Asian sausage. Worth every penny. The only thing I’m not really into about this place is the décor. Too much going on.

First off. Great price for the items they give you. $ 40 for a hotpot with pretty much everything from the sea. Great service, the waitresses are very nice. However the broth was NOT good. Even thou they didn’t use msg but it couldn’t deliver. I got the sweet and sour broth. it was neither sweet nor sour, just salty. The vegetables were NOT hotpot vegetables. It doesn’t go. Noone uses cai ngot(chinese cabbage) for hotpot. Perhaps they were recently open and still trying to improve the menu. I would give it another try with another broth just because of the seafood. Half were frozen seafood btw but it’s ok. Not bad.

Honestly, this place deserves more than five stars. 1. Food: quality is superb. Fresh seafood. Fresh veggies. Everything is just on point! Tastes great and best of all… NOMSG!!! We ordered banh canh for 4… but the head chef, Andy Tran, saw that we were a party of 5 so he made sure to serve us an extra helping in order for everyone to have a hearty meal. He even brought out an extra prawn!!! So generous. We then proceeded to order hot pot and chose the sweet and sour broth. Wonderful flavor as well and the seafood and veggies that came with this order did not disappoint either. Lobster tail, scallop, shrimp, salmon, etc. Everything was fresh and yummy. 2. Staff: kind words do not do these guys justice. The waiters and waitresses were always attentive and super polite. Always responded to our needs with a smile! 3. Head chef: he deserves his own review. Not only did he do a wonderful job at making out food taste delicious, he even went out of his way to come out and greet us as well as engage in a conversation with us. He definitely did what he could to provide us with a memorable and enjoyable experience. We will definitely come back and spread the word about this gem not only because the food is great but his generosity as well as his passion for cooking makes the entire experience just wonderful. 4. Environment: you definitely feel like you’re in the country side somewhere in Vietnam. Workers are dressed in traditional clothing. There’s even a live performer on weekends(and he sings English songs! Very cool). Overall, this place is definitely somewhere you should try. I really do hope they continue to have good service and consistency in the flavor and quality of their food!

This place deserves so much more publicity than it’s currently getting. I think part of the problem is the recently changed name. It use to be called Am Thuc Van Hoa. But according to one of the waitresses, nothing else changed. They specialize in banh canh which is sort of like the Vietnamese equivalent of udon noodles. The noodles and soup are pretty thick and there’s a pretty good helping of seafood or meat depending on the bowl you order. I’ve always been more of a rice person though so I always order the seafood fried rice with salmon. Oh man this dish is delicious! It comes with really good canh chua to make the rice less dry. I’ve never been fond of fried rice because it’s too oily or dry but with the soup it’s perfect. And the rice itself is closer to clay pot rice than fried rice. There’s all types of seafood on the fried rice and a good portion too. It includes salmon, scallops, mussels, shrimp, crab, and lap xuong. And there’s so much for what you pay for that it easily serves two. Why are you still reading this? Go get some food!

This weekend my in-laws, who are Vietnamese, took me here twice this weekend I have not been disappointed. The food is super clean tasting… not greasy and they focus on seafood. I understand they do not use MSG which is an added plus. The waiting staff is very attentive and courteous. They wear traditional Vietnamese outfits and the walls are covered with murals of the different regions in Vietnam. It makes me feel I’ve transported across the Pacific Ocean… without the cost of airfare :)
