Pretty good, I can only eat this every blue moon because they are kind of pricey, but the next time I want some I’ll come to this location. The plate was good and hot and the girl behind the counter was pleasant.

If you’re ever craving L&L’s or Hawaiian food in general, this is the spot. They HOOKITUP with the portions here; their mini portion is the size of other L&L’s regular portions. Good stuff.

Portions are huge, great place if you want to spend less and eat alot. The large is basically more rice, you will still get the same amount of meat

Most L&L’s that I’ve been to have not been that great. But the food at this particular location is on point and they give you ALOT. The small plate is more than enough for one person… believe it.

I ordered the seafood platter, I love l&l but the food here is not up to bar. I taste no flavor in my mahi mahi. I could still smell the fish. The coating of the fried fish is too thick and over fried . My fried shrimps tartare decent. More flavor and crunchy.

I love the amount of food you get here, however, I do enjoy the chicken Katsu curry, it is an issue that they give you so much chicken Katsu, but one small serving of curry. They should give double the amount of curry that they actually give.

Moco Loco is a great plate! My friend recommended this spot about two weeks ago. This spot gives you a great amount of food for less $$$$. I used to buy my food over ONO Hawaiian BBQ too expensive. Phone orders are taken!

I used to hate L&L’s until Jeff turned me into a lover of their katsu(lol). This place has long lines during the dinner rush so I call ahead and place an order so I can just get in and out with the food. I only get their chicken katsu but it has to be a time when I’m craving it. Their outer deep-fried breaded part is tough sometimes and I can’t ever finish it. But it’s definitely yummy! A mini comes with one scoop of rice, a side of mac, and TONS of katsu. Their regular comes with two scoops of rice, a side of mac, and even more katsu! It comes with their specialty sauce, which I don’t really care for. The cashiers here are typically pretty nice and they try to move the line along as much as possible.

This can be called the ghetto L&L. Staff is as low level as they get. I got charged .25 for an extra Katsu Sauce. skip this dirty place and go to Nalu’s.

This place is close to my work so it’s convenient. The staff are friendly and they take call in orders, which they fill quickly. I’ve never had to wait when I’ve called ahead. The portions are generous. I order the chicken katsu mini and can’t finish it on my own. Would be perfect for two people. The menu selection is great and the food is tasty and affordable.

My go-to place for Portuguese sausage musubi and loco moco. When I do order their musubi, I always ask to cut down the rice content in half to better appreciate the flavor of the sausage.(I don’t want the rice drowning it all out.) Overall pretty decent. The prices are quite reasonable for the amount of food you get.

Ok, I held off all these many, many, years to write a review of L&L. Having grown up only blocks away from the original before it was L&Lon Liliha. Now living in Gardena(Plate Lunch City) the Gardena L&L has the largest mini portion of all the ones I’ve been too. Especially the Chicken Cutlet /Tonkatsu, BBQ Beef. They serve it in the regular size container and when you compare it to the actual regular serving is only slightly smaller. Other places serve the mini portion in in a smaller size container. See pic L&L has always been a go to place. People who complain because they have to wait a long time to get their order should realize the reason is because the food is good. Hey, I did this review with out doing it in pidgin.

This place has a cool vibe. The customers are pretty cool and so are the employees. The good was good. I ordered the BBQ short ribs and they were good but the macaroni salad on the side lacked flavor. I’m a Midwest boy and I know BBQ and macaroni salad! I will come back if I don’t want to drive far for Hawaiian BBQ.

You can order it within minutes but it takes about 30 minutes to get your order. On top of that, when the line gets long, your wait gets even longer. Horrible. I think you can call ahead and order on the phone and just pick it up. That’s the smart way. Their food is mediocre. I dont like their macaroni salad. It has no flavor. Don’t order their loco moco. It’s waste of money. My friend and I took a bite and we threw it away and left. It was that bad. The meat was so dry but it was drenched in gravy that was way too salty and even the egg had weird taste. Maybe try Ono instead.

I hadn’t eaten at L & L for years, and that’s any location. The taste of the food is on par with other Hawaiian places. But even for a Hawaiian place, their portions are large. But then again, their prices are a little higher than other Hawaiian take out places also. What brought me back was their offering of the ramen burger. I’d seen it on TV and didn’t want to go all the way to New York to give it a try. Redondo Beach Boulevard is much closer, and at $ 3.75, the sandwich itself is also cheaper than the one in New York. At first glance, the sandwich seems kind of small, but for the size, it is filling. I ate half and that filled me up until dinner. As you may know, the main difference between a ramen burger and a regular hamburger is that fried ramen takes the place of the bread. The patty itself was good, but for me, I prefer my hamburger between two hamburger buns. The ramen burger is definitely worth a try as a novelty item, but for regular visits, I’ll stick to the plates.

Better than that cheating no beef only stringy meat tendon flame broiler next door, you get your money’s worth here. Regular size is huuuge, bbq chicken, beef, chicken katsu, they are all good . on the left side the junk food broiler is on the right no meat there, just go to L & L and be full and happy …

I almost don’t want to do a review. But the people must know. Every few years, I find myself in a position where I am forced to eat L&L Hawaiian Food. Even though its consistently bad, I try to stay optimistic. How naïve I am. .. . Due to the fact I’m trying to minimize the boiler(gut,) I ordered the Atkins Plate. This plate consists of Teriyaki Chicken, Teriyaki Beef, and a fried egg. First of all, how are any of the above dishes«Hawaiian?» Second of all, the food tasted as if it were marinated in the ocean for an entire week. It tasted of pure SALT. I didn’t even finish the plate of food. What I really found annoying was the service. L&L is a small place. Only one server is present; and rightfully so! However, when my food was ready, the server called me up to the counter to get the food. Then he stood there and watched me. Then he did the same thing to another patron. WHYNOTHANDYOURCUSTOMERSTHEPLATE? You’re not doing anything else and it’s only a few feet away? Talk about lazy. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t mind picking up my food. But why not make your restaurant memorable or a little more enjoyable by handing your customers their plate. Otherwise, open a take out window! Talk about frustrating. I hate laziness and hate salty food.
