Sea Mountain BBQ

I was driving by and noticed their sign of specials:
$ 1.50 for a beer on tap
$.50 per wing
I had to stop by.
I went inside and was thrown off. Totally expected a huge sports bar atmosphere and got a small little restaurant with like 5 tables.
The girl behind the counter was super friendly and got my order to me in no time.
None of the food is anything special (granted I only had the wings) but at this price, I can’t complain.
If you’re looking for great BBQ, this isn’t the place to go but…
If you want some place to chill on a budget, this is a nice option.

I don’t understand the good reviews. At all. We stopped in because it is walking distance from our house. We ordered the wings which were these weird, breaded, soggy, tasteless lumps on our plate. They looked as unappetizing as they tasted. Seriously, I have never had such bad food. That was the one and only time that we will ever go there.

I wish I can give 0 stars if I can. I decided to try this place because it had really good reviews. I ordered beef teriyaki with noodles to go, and I went home and found out the beef was ground beef! It looked nothing like the pictures on the menu or on the Unilocal.It was so salty I had to throw it away.

The food and service were fantastic! We Unilocaled this place prior to coming in and it did not disappoint. We had wings, dumplings and beef with noodles. Both were great! Will be back again soon.

When my GPS told me I had arrived I was like «what?» Cause all I could see was a giant warehouse. However, nestled behind the warehouse at the back of the parking lot is this cute Asian-​American fusion restaurant. When I came I was the only person so my guess is they fill up the bar/​restaurant on game might.
The lady at the front told me that the restaurant has been here for about a year. The walls are covered in televisions and pictures of sports, especially boxing. The table are cute and they also have a small patio.
The restaurant has cheap beer ($ 1.50 for draft) and even cheaper wings ($.50/​each up to 8). In addition to draft beer they also have liquor like makers mark and Hennessy.

Great find. Small space so it was pretty full for the basketball game on tv. I love chicken wings and these were some of the best I’ve had. The sauces were great. Super attentive service. She had a lot of tables and did a really excellent job. I wish they had a better beer selection but they have great beer specials and a full bar. The other food coming out looked awesome and I can’t wait to try it next time!

Came here with a few coworkers because it had great reviews. We didn’t realize how much of a hole in the wall sort of place it was. We were the only ones there. The ambience was alright, they had maybe 4 TV’s going, but beyond that the décor looked a bit old. When the food came out, it was like… «Eh…» Not something that would make you super excited for. (Except the 50 cent wings, those looked and tasted bomb) however, they sure make a helluva good meal. I had the beef with noodles and that did not disappoint. Great flavors, marinates and textures. My only qualm is that the beef could have been cut a bit more so that it was easier to chew. The chicken wings are waaaay better than b-​dubs, and they got this special sauce that compliments the dish perfectly. Also, if might add, the prices are dirt cheap for what they give you. In conclusion, i’m not super impressed but i like it. Just several adjustments to the décor and dish composition, and i think this place could be a hit.

I’m writing this review with a bit of hesitation because I don’t want to let the secret out (this little gem is tucked in the back corner of a little strip mall right next door to the Superior Market at the corner of Crenshaw and Marine). The chicken wings are absolutely delicious (big, plump and juicy with a tasty batter)…and, the special Sea Mountain sauce is out of this world!!! Not to mention .50 cent (8 wings per person) offer with your first beer each (plus $ 1 beers during Monday Night Football — cheap Bud Light — but it’s cold). The dumplings (steamed or fried) are delicious as well. They have several big screen tv’s, hard liquor and sake. Their meats marinate for hours and are delicious!!! Jeff (manager) is a wonderful host and really knows how to treat his customers right… if you want cheap beer and spectacular wings… Sea Mountain BBQ hits one out of the park!!!

Great food! Great value. Friendly fast service. it’s a little hard to find but I am so glad I found it. I had the Chicken Teriyaki, the sauce was fantastic and tasty. I will be back.

This place is awsome! Good Beer, wings, dumplings aaand Tv’s… what else from a local spot could you wants. It’s a must try!

Just stopped by and had a couple of drinks very relaxing place a little small but nice to relax and have good food… beer prices are too good to pass up on so hurry!

I went for lunch at the suggestion of my pops, and I agree with him, the food is very tasty and at a great price. Small place but nice décor and friendly staff. I work close by, I could see myself going in for an after work cocktail and eating some good pupus. Small menu for now but I’m sure as the word gets out they will expand their bar food menu. Nice place!

Good food. First time going here and the service was good. Most definitely coming here again. One of the best places you can eat. The owner also gave us free fried sushi. So that was sweet of him. (: come by! It’s really good.

Went there with my family last night. We tried: chicken, chicken wings, beef, pork, pork rib trip tip along with: noodle soup, rice, stir fry noodle. All the meat was so delicious and tender! Love their marination. And i really recommend the stir fry noodle so delicious!
The food was plentiful for the price. We will be back there with our friends for sure.

We stopped by to have some Korean BBQ only to discover a new business in its place. My husband quickly saw the Bradley/​marquess fight was on the screen and suggested I Unilocal them. Luckily the reviews were decent and we decided to check them out. We were pleasantly surprised to discover very tasty food at extremely reasonable prices.
I got the chicken, hubby got the pork rib tips. We both got the stir fried noodles to accompany our meat. It was plentiful and delicious and. Steal at $ 8 an entrée.
The staff was super friendly and gave us some wings to try on the house. I liked the wings more than my entrée and will definitely order them again.
We will be back next time paquiao fights!

I wandered in here today amongst all the construction around next door to find out Sea Mountain BBQ was under new management. Fairly hard to find due to said construction going on. I was greeted by the owner, Jeff. Very well spoken, chill and overall good guy as I ordered the grilled chicken meal while we had a chat. It really felt like I’ve know this guy for years or something haha.
The décor was very nice as he tailored it to his passion for boxing. There were multiple flat panel televisions around which were all geared towards sports. Great atmosphere enhanced by a great host. I love it when I get good, unpretentious food and service. Speaking of food.
–The grilled chicken I had was amazing. Compared to other establishments such as those grilled bowl places, it destroys them. It had a great marinade and was nearly perfect in char, as it wasn’t just pure char like most places grill their chicken and meats. It was like if I had grilled it myself with care and attention that goes into creating excellent food. And of course, it was nice and tender.
–it was accompanied with a salad of romaine leaves, with a unique sauce/​dressing which was not overpowering (I believe it’s their special sauce), pickled jalapenos, a side of sauteed onions — green bell peppers and mushrooms with a toasted dumpling on top, a nice scoop of rice and an orange slice. About $ 7, no tax. It reminded me of a bento lunch set you’d get at a Japanese restaurant, minus the California roll.
–The place also serves a nice selection of bottled beers on display. There’s also beer on tap.
I was also treated to some chicken wings on the house, they were pretty good. I would say slightly too oily if anything. Again, nice marinade also on the wings, fried in I believe cornstarch. Goes great with the special sauce.
I would say this is a fairly small, cozy place to bring some friends or family and watch sports or just enjoy a nice meal. Reminds of a small sports bar of sorts without all the obnoxious bar goers. Simple menu, fairly simple dishes, executed very well in my humble opinion. Theres also an amazing Kalbi french fry dish he spoke of which I will have to come back and try. The bottled beers were actually very cheap compared to most places. This place deserves business!

Great food, first week of opening, had the pork rib tips and beef noodle soup! Great marinade and plenty of food came for the price. The owner sent out some chicken wings, and have no complains about them, specially when you add there special sauce!
He also sent a couple of beer cocktails which are pretty good!
Service is amazing the owner took care of us the whole entire time.
It also has a great atmosphere, it’s a family sports theme. The place was previously an AYCE KBBQ, it was great but this replacement is amazing.

This place is in a small hidden plaza across from a korean bbq place. They have about 6 tables in there. I trie the ⁵⁰⁄₅₀ chicken and beef. The owner is very nice. Everything is made when you order. it’s not like panda express where everything sits. I always try to support quality small business owners.
He was a really cool guy and helped us with his suggestions of what to try. I like the fruit punch.
