Heard a lot of good things about this place so we had to try it. Heard a rumor that Todd is the son of Bob and Dee which we loved going there and miss it since they’ve closed! Don’t know if that is true but do know their food is excellent and there is a lot of it. If you leave hungry it’s your own fault because even their BLT is massive! We had to take half our breakfast home because we couldn’t finish it. Best ham steak I’ve had in a long time was cooked really nicely, eggs over easy where perfect and substituted half order of biscuit and gravy for the toast which made our table crazy full as we each had 3 full plates of food brought out to us! Staff is delightful and always there to freshen up your cup o’joe! Even my non pork eating son found something he loved as they serve turkey bacon and he had a turkey bacon BLT with fried okra which he took half of that home as well. We where all very impressed and rolled out of there full and happy! Small town diner in a small town, who knew?

They have excellent food. It is always good. But I have been there on more than one occasion when the owners have made the waitresses cry while they are still on shift. I felt so bad for the girls I wanted to give them a big hug but thought they would get in more trouble if I did. Love the food but reluctant to go back and see their great staff treated badly.

This is a great, small town family restaurant. The portions are huge and the food is great. Not sure about Jim V. review, maybe he likes McDonalds. We have eaten there at least 50 times and the breakfast is awesome. The pork tenderloin was bigger than the plate. Did I mention that they have pie? Banana cream, lemon meringue, blackberry, blueberry, peanut butter, its a different selection everyday. Get it to go, it will go well with the leftovers from all the food.

Warning to all people that have or are thinking about dining at this place don’t, not because the food is bad but because the people that own this place are the worst people that anyone can come across. They treat their best employees like the scum of the earth, the ones that all the customers love and return for just to have them wait on them. Their idea of customer service is to get an order and throw their food at the customer, and to charge for every little thing. I have witnessed them telling awesome waitresses not to small talk with customers that actually want that kind of experience. Tl;dr However good their food might be, the way they treat their staff and customers is reason enough not to give these horrible people money.

Nice little diner! Very friendly staff, attentive and quick to refresh the coffee! Food was good, egg white veggie omelette hit the spot with a side of multi-grain toast which were both outstanding! My friend had a bacon scramble which was also above average. Prices are mid range, but definitely worth the value. Fairly standard diner fare, but worth a stop next time your hunting for some breakfast.

1st time diner. I had the French Dip sandwich. Roast beef was very tender and had a good, but mild flavor. Mashed potatoes had a great consistency, but, again, the brown gravy needed some punch. I have a feeling that they tend to flavor their items to suit the older crowd. I’m 63, but I like my food to get my attention. Overall, the meal was good, and maybe some of the other dishes are more flavorful, but this is not an inexpensive place to eat. With meal, drink and tip, I dropped a bit north of $ 16 for lunch.

The best breakfast in Gardner I eat breakfast here about twice a week and they are consistent with the quality.

What a great little place we stumbled across while out on a motorcycle ride on a beautiful and crisp September morning! Todd’s is «Country Cookin» at its finest. As we walked in the door, we were greeted by an older gentleman(Todd maybe?) with a friendly smile. We were quickly seated and our server brought us our drinks while we studied the breakfast side of the menu. There were a few regulars that the staff knew on a «first name basis». We chatted with one of them, Mike, a regular since moving to the area 6 years ago. We commented on how friendly everyone was and how they really seemed to know their guests. Mike shared with us that he contributed one of the many signs posted around the place(the«Beware of attack waitress» one!). As far as the menus goes, they have plenty of healthier options as well as «heart attacks on a plate» and everything in between! I settled on eggs over easy with diced potatoes and a big buttery biscuit and Shawn got the veggie egg-white omelette with fresh fruit and one HUGE pancake. We will definitely be back!

Had lunch there today. Quality food served very quickly. I will eat there again. Went back for breakfast this morning. The food was good but $ 11.00 for two eggs, bacon and one biscuit and gravy seems pricy.

This place is good. I have had breakfast and lunch here. Service is ok. Just know if the parking lot has a lot of cars, the dining room is busy. Definitely check it out for breakfast even if you have to wait. It is worth it.

We recently visited Todd’s diner while in Gardner and was pleasantly surprised. This establishment is very clean and friendly, full of locals. I had the cinnamon roll platter: which included a cinnamon roll, eggs, sausage and potatoes. I highly recommend the fried potatoes over the hashbrowns. The cinnamon roll was a little disappointing — it didn’t taste homemade nor had much icing on it, was very bready and not too sweet. Others at the table had chicken fried steak and said it was delicious! Was a little surprised at the prices, since others had commented about it being so inexpensive. For two adult dinners and one drink with tax and tip it was around $ 30.

This is a very well-run diner in Gardner. Service is outstanding, prices fair, and portions large. Todd and his wife can often be found hovering, insuring that everything runs smoothly and customers are taken care of. There’s the typical diner fare, but also some surprises. The town has definitely picked this spot as the go-to diner in the area, as the place is often full. You’ll understand why if you give it a tumble.

At a recent family reunion, my brother-in-law who well knows my tastes in food and restaurants brought me here twice — once for dinner, once for breakfast. He knows me well, indeed. Todd’s is unpretentious, low key and knows how to put plenty of good food on the plate. 14 of us ate there one night and the service couldn’t have been any better. The iced tea never stopped coming and the waitress never stopped smiling. We ate shrimp, we ate chicken, we ate steak. The sides were ample, well prepared and a perfect accompaniment. Amazingly, most of us had room for pie which was well received by all. Todd’s isn’t a chain — it’s run by good folks who care about good food and making you feel at home. We’ll go back. Too bad it’s so far away.

Todd’s Diner has great food. I love their breakfasts. Check out the biscuits and gravy for sure! Downside is that the tables are packed in close together, so you feel a little bit like you are on top of the other customers, and it’s a fairly narrow aisle to get from the front door into the main seating area, but the upside is that the staff is fast — it doesn’t take long to get your food! The pricing is reasonable, and the staff is friendly.

Todd’s has delicious food, humongous portions, and great prices. Every time I’ve gone, I’ve walked away content and ready for a nap. The staff is nice, and usually Todd himself is manning the register. Their desserts are awesome.

My husband and I visited Todd’s Diner this morning for the first time after seeing decent Unilocal reviews and wanting to try a new breakfast dive. The restaurant was very busy, but we were seated promptly, and our waitress was on top of things. There was a wide range of menu options; I went with a skillet breakfast with fried potatoes, sausage, green peppers, onions, 2 over easy eggs and cheese with a biscuit on the side. The skillet was delicious, and the most food I have ever received at a restaurant EVER. GIANT portions of food. And the biscuits were fluffy and appeared homemade. My husband went with the country fried steak breakfast, which consisted of a country fried steak that covered one entire plate, PLUS a second plate with fried potatoes, eggs, and a biscuit. Again, very good and a ridiculous amount of food. We both left happy. We would definitely come to Todd’s again.
