Very good breakfast. I was extremely impressed with waitress who brought additional hot water for tea after I was almost done with first cup. Tea doesn’t get cold that way. Food was good and cooked as requested.

My boyfriend and I were travelling from Reno to Las Vegas(taking the back way) and we were getting a bit hungry. We decided to stop in here and it was one of the best decisions we made. We ordered the grilled cheese with bacon and fries. Portions were huge and they didn’t skimp on the bacon. This place was amazing and definitely deserve a 5 star rating.

Don’t understand the bad reviews… or even the 3 star reviews. This place is definitely 4 star.(I reserved 5 Stars for different types of restaurants). Look, this place is a diner — so you get diner food. It is good diner food. Breakfasts are good and there is a large selection of items. If you are hungy — good — because the portions are large. For lunch I’ve only had the Chinese Chicken Salad. Only had that because it’s so good that every time I go back it draws me to order it again. Obviously a family run place. They care about their business and their product.

Hands down best service I’ve seen in a while in Gardnerville. My and my Hubbys food was great — the only downer where the oatmeal pancakes — too funny for my liking, but our kids enjoyed them with lots of Maple syrup I would eat the pork chop special and the Ham and Eggs again

Stopped by for lunch. No waiting for a table, sat in a booth by the window and close to the salad bar. Typical dinner menu, breakfast, burgers, sandwiches, fries etc. the service was attentive and friendly. Had the salad bar with the sandwich. Fresh and enough offerings. Great macaroni salad. Clean bathrooms. Worth a stop.

We started the New Year off at lunch at Woodett’s Diner. It is like going to Denny’s, but with a personal touch. Many locals eat there. There were also a large amount of travelers. The portions are large. The staff is friendly. It is a nice place for lunch. My only complaint was the deodorizer from the restroom was strong and could be smelled in the dining room. Other than that, all good.

My husband and I ate here Sunday. Place was packed(always a good sign). Passed it many times and just didn’t notice it! Service was great and the food was awesome! I had the Breakfast burrito and my hubby had the Machaca plate. Both yummy! Will for sure go back… they have a huge menu. Want to try several more dishes!

Hmmmm this place could have been good but it just wasn’t. First of all there are no options for having potatoes with your eggs that are not loaded with onions, so many onions I could not even eat the potatoes. They even note on their menu that you cannot remove the onions, not such a wise choice in my opinion. Also the service could use some help and to butter my own toast is not too appealing when eating out. Won’t be back, too bad because you can’t have too many good breakfast places.

Great food but we will not be back due to the bad attitude of our waitress.

Black grease on my toast, I’d hate to see what really goes on in that kitchen, most places I’d give a second or 3rd try but that was to gross.

The salad bar is pretty awesome. Caught my attention immediately and was not disappointing. However, the actual food were mediocre. I got fish and chips, half a sandwich with one trip to the salad bar. The fish were pretty small, cole slaw was plain and the sandwich was pretty dry. The French fries were homemade and it was pretty good. Three stars for a moms and pops restaurant

Diner food. Only ever been here for breakfast. It tastes okay. But the last two times we went here. Myself and my dining companion didn’t feel well after. Not blaming the food necessarily just might be greasier than we are used to. Biscuits and gravy is tasteless and soupy, pancakes are ENORMOUS and boring. Eggs are generally cooked how you order them. Staff is friendly and service is fast and efficient.

The morning came early as i woke up and was hungry. Flipped the tube on and realized there was a grip of football on this New Years Eve day. Espn in full bowl playoff mode, my time was short. Need sustanance and a lot of calories to make it through the day. First thought was The Grill Next Door., jump in vehicle and slam on the gas, Damn there closed. Next up Woodetts. They’re the«Go To» in a pinch. So off i go. With the super Garlicy potatoes in mind. I get there in relief, open sesame. Only about 8 people there so i get to sit wherever i want. Usually you’re waiting a few minutes to get seated cause the place is popular. I order the Chicken Fried Steak and a Waffle, i have a sweet tooth. The service was good and attentive and CFS and Waffle were VERY good. Now im comfortable and can last the LONG day of bowl games … WHEW!!!

Classic American greasy spoon diner. I pass thru Gardnerville on my annual 2 month sabbatical out in the Nevada desert. If you want bang for the buck, this is the place. I recommend the«no brainer-pavement-scraper.» It is a breakfast scramble for under $ 10 that is basically 4 days worth of food. I take my leftovers out to the desert and make burritos for the next 4 days. The staff is very friendly, and never let your coffee run dry. If I lived in Gardnerville, I would have my own coffee cup up on the rack.

Just awful. We had high hopes when we walked in and the place was packed, but it was probably packed because no one could get there food! Our waitress was mostly absent both physically and emotionally, the only person working hard was an older fellow who was busing and making sure everyone had drinks. We only ordered a chicken sandwich and a so called Philly cheese steak. I say«so called» because the only thing it had in common with a Philly cheese steak was that it had red meat and bread. My chicken and mushroom had nothing else on it(no cheese or condiments for some reason) yet it was so greasy. The fries were plentiful but limp. For that we waited 45 minutes. Just avoid this place.

A solid diner breakfast. Great value that really hits the spot when you’re hankering for some classic diner fare. The BEST hashbrowns I have ever tasted! Seriously crave-worthy. Flavorful with just the perfect mix of crunchy flakes and warm soft spots. The kids’ breakfasts were served in huge portions. The pancakes were definitely big enough to split. I would give a better rating but the service was slow with not a smile on the face of one waiter or waitress. Also they are kinda sorta not very accommodating when it comes to substitutions or changes.
