Great place for an Italian sub. They definitely load it up with the meats, veggies, and seasonings; all for a relatively cheap price. As for their pizza, only had the cheese pizza here– flavor is good as far as cheese and sauce, but the crust is too thin to the point that the sauce kind of seeps through. I have also tried their meatball sub and will never order it again. The meatballs were huge, dry, and lacked any flavor or consistency. Only reason why I’m giving 4 stars instead of 3 is because of their delicious Italian sub. Do it do it!

We went here for all the hype and was disappointed it’s definitely not the best pizza in Bergen county. The crust was so rubbery you have to pull on it to get a bite off. My husband ordered the Italian hero that lived up to its standards he loved it. Other than that Eh…

Sicilian slice right out of the oven was very good. Crunchy not to hard. Regular slices were a bit dry, maybe oven too hot. don’t like them«brown looking».Sausage roll was good, tasty peppers onions cheese. nice…clean and lots of seats. friendly enough.

This review is for their subs! I get my Super Bowl subs here every year and they never disappoint! 3 foot, 4 foot, you name it. Bread is perfect and everything is so fresh!!!

If they can’t even match the pizza size to the box size, or the other way around, why would I expect the pizza to be any good.

So… This is how it happened. I was in the area looking for a good sandwich, so I went Unilocal for help. As always, my Unilocal family came through and I discovered Rose’s. This is a cozy little pizza joint in a small shopping center. I’m not really sure if it’s run by Italians, but I did get a very authentic Italian feel from the restaurant. Just a heads up: There isn’t enough parking and you may have to wait for a spot to empty before parking, but the wait is well worth it. The place was pretty empty, but I came on a Sunday so I’m not surprised that it was empty. Anyway, I was helped immediately by two gentlemen behind the counter. The menu was easily displayed both on a stack of pamphlets on the counter as well as above the work area that food was being prepped. Everything on the menu was very affordable, under $ 15. I ordered a Turkey Sub with the works for $ 6.50. I love how fresh all of the ingredients were and how my bun was toasted in the pizza oven prior to all of the trimmings being added. My only complaint is the quality of the Turkey — it wasn’t great. I could tell it was cheap. But the sandwich was VERY fresh, edible and I will definitely come again.

Literally the best Italian subs I’ve ever tasted. The owner always remembers what I get. The ONLY reason I gave 4 stars is that they don’t deliver. If they delivered they would be perfect.

You can’t ever go wrong coming here. I’ve been a customer for years and will always be one. Pizza is great, subs are amazing, customer service is great, and prices are great especially on subs(how much you pay for what you get)

My 1st review. I’ve been eating here since the mid 70s and is always my go to spot. Slices are always fresh(I love the sicilian). The staff is always friendly, even after working 6 days from open to close. Sandwichs are good so are the calzones. One late night Tony gave me 2 sicilians for the price one, score!

Great pizza considering I grew up in union city right next to Hoboken. Which is pizza heaven. Went through a few places when I moved to Bergen county to find good pizza. And this place was worth it

I gave them four stars mainly for the fact that they deny us of their pizza on a Monday. But alas, I can’t do that anymore! I have been there many times and they always have consistently good slices. Especially the Sicilian. They are pretty much my go to place for quick and tasty slices. Plain is good too! Sandwiches are also consistent, tasty, and super filling. Still have yet to try some others. I mainly rock the number 10 but I am curious about the meatball and chicken parms. They keep it old school with simple ingredients. They specialize in keepin it real! It works for them so don’t fix something that is not broken! Nice price too! It’s just a real quality pizza joint! Nice portions for the right price. I never regret coming here and will be back a lot. This place rules! Don’t hesitate to pick up a whole pie! This place is the definition of consistent! Check em out! You won’t regret it!

I’ve moved to Massachusetts few years ago and every few weeks I still get a craving for their plain cheese pie. I’m a veggie lover but when it comes to pizza, cheese and sauce is all you want. I guess it’s cause that’s what I was raised on. I’m form Wallington, just over the bridge. Used to go there for lunch in high school. $ 2 two slices and soda. Omg I was in heaven. The guy behind the counter has been there the whole time I’ve known this place. I’m not sure if he’s an owner or a worker but he knows their food in and out. He’s great. Sandwiches are also fabulous. But when it comes to pizza, this place is the best in the country. And I’ve been to many states. Nobody compares. Crisp bottom, chewy cheesy too, yum!!!

Been coming here for years… The funny part is I always get the same things time and time again. Sicilian pizza is the best around and possibly the best i have had. When i get a sicilian slice from other places i rate it based on Rose’s slice. The Italian sandwich is good, not great but good. They defiantly have their own way about making their sandwiches but they are tasty. I am more of a thin sliced cold cut guy and they slice their meat thick, i think that is why i can’t give them a high score on the sandwiches. Owner is a good guy and hustles to get food out. Would defiantly recommend if you are in the area and want some different than normal pizza.

I ordered a Sicilian and plain slice to go. Sicilian was okay, crust was crispy but the bread wasn’t the typical thick Sicilian far. Cheese/sauce was good but remained reminiscent of Ellios. The plain slice’s cheese fell off the pizza and into the bag. I think that explains itself.

Not as good as it used to be. By a long shot. I was looked over constantly as I waited. Anywhere from 7 – 12 people got their food before me. when I placed an order way before any of those people walked in(it was ONLY2 sandwiches!) Then after of 20 minutes of standing, watching everyone get the same amount of food or more, I finally get the sandwiches and it’s time to pay. It takes additional 5 minutes to flag someone down to pay for my food. It seems like they didn’t even want to serve me to be completely honest. The sandwiches were OK, but I think this was my last time taking my business here.

Ordered a plain slice and a Sicilian slice. Both were given to me overcooked. I don’t think the guys behind the counter wanted me there. Here’s the breakdown: 1 — They give my original order to someone else because they forgot that I had ordered. 2 — The second order was super well done. Like crust as crunchy as Stella D’Oro breadsticks crunchy. 3 — Guy forgot my soda 4 — I hand the guy my money to pay for my order and he throws my change on the counter. 5 — No «thank you» or «come back soon» from anyone behind the counter. I normally don’t even care about service so long as the food is good. But this place is probably the 3rd best pizzeria in Garfield. Definitely not worth the drive or trying to negotiate a parking space in the private lot. Every single person in here but me was eating an Italian hero. The place is a friggin pizzeria, they should be known for their pizza right? And if I put money in your hand you better put the change back in my hand, that’s just common courtesy. Maybe they were having an off day. Or maybe it’s because I’m Asian. Who knows? I’ve definitely had better…
