Service Fair!
I ordered shrimp nachos, the nachos had small shrimp, chips were hard and this nachos came with yellow cheese. Most real good restaurants put white monterey jack cheese on shrimp nachos, I could on about how sorry this nachos were. Just go to your regular place that you always enjoy, don’t try this place like I did.

I like one dish from here its ok it’s cleaner then most, a guy I know works in kitchen here so as long as he’s here I’ll order it. The waitstaff barely speak English, no good drinks. Picosa is the only good dish, my husband likes shrimp toasta. wouldnt come to much

If your considering Ernesto’s down the street, I don’t know what everyone sees about that place, but El Langoustino blows it away. Just keep in Mind when you go for good service don’t go when it’s totally packed, maybe make reservations instead it’s just common sense, be considerate of others, including restaurants. The portions are big and service is good and price is reasonable.

I’m reviewing as I’m in here. So far so good. The chips and salsa are very good. Chips are fresh and salsa is delicious. The salsa does get more spicy after eating a couple of bites so your preference on what’s spicy or not. The service is great so far. The ladies are always on the move but they are trying their best because it seems there’s not a lot of them. Today is a pretty packed day. The guacamole is great. The atmosphere is fine as well.
Just got my food, which is catfish and it came out fast, and my mom realized silverware wasn’t served to us. No biggie, for me at least. But silverware was not provided when were seated. The food was really good. Flavor, awesome.
Our waitress did not refill our chips when the basket was getting close to empty but it’s okay we didn’t even eat them all. The tortillas were very soft and yummy.
They have the best horchata that I’ve tried in years. Perfect sweetness to me.
The restaurant is a little undeveloped in the inside so there’s not a lot seating.
Other than that, I had pretty good first experience and I will hopefully be coming back.

It was my friend and I’s first time here.
We’re both fanatic about seafood so we decided to give this a place a try.
It wasn’t busy when we went for dinner, but we went on a weekday so maybe it gets busy on the weekends?
They give you complimentary chips and salsa. The salsa is spicy in a good way. If you’re not a fan of spicy, then eat the salsa in small amounts.
Everything on the menu seemed really delicious, but I settled for the piña rellena de marisco which is basically half a pineapple hollowed out and filled with pineapple chunks, seafood, and cheese and also comes with a side of rice.
I think they grill the pineapple because my pineapple bowl was still warm when it arrived.
The seafood consisted of: shrimp, octopus, scallops, and mussels.
I think there may have been more seafood, but these are the ones I found while eating.
The combination of seafood, cheese, and pineapple was amazing. The pineapple gave it a nice tart taste. It was almost like eating seafood fondue.
I couldn’t finish a third of it, so I took the rest home and ate it for lunch at work.
It was okay, but wasn’t as good as when I first ate it fresh.
I really advise people who order this to eat it all instead of saving it for leftovers.
I would definitely come back here and try everything once!
But for now, the piña rellena de mariscos is at the top of my list!

This place is horrible… service was okay and staff were on point but the food was disgusting! Myself, husband, and 8 month baby ended up getting food poisoning. I would never recommend this place!

The food is delicious but the service is crap! They look at you like you have to serve your own damn drinks. The waitress’s are confused to whose tables are whose and they take their time on little request you make. Oh and you have to request a menu. One star is saying too much!!!

I love this place, I order the Spicy Langostino! It’s hot so order water. It is so good! The shrimp cocktail is good but they put a lot of onions. The chips and salsa are the bomb. The Micheladas are yummy.

The worst service ever… The waitress took 20min to get our drinks out and took forever with our food as well. She didn’t bring any silverware until we asked for some. Also she wouldn’t bring what we would ask her she would forget and just stay they were to busy. We had to even cancel our order on how bad the service was. Do not recommend here at all. Calle doce in oak lawn has much better food and the best service. Not even worthy of one star will never go again due to service.

Awesome Mexican seafood. Great quality, not overpriced its just perfect. Oh yeah I’m coming back…

Delicious authentic Mexican Seafood! Clean, roomy place, open till 2:00 am (because of the bar), wonderful staff. The Ceviche tostadas are delicious! Mojarra frita dish is soooo tasty, crispy, flavorful! I this place highly recommend it. Support small businesses!

Service was great our waitress was very attentive. Haven’t been to this restaurant since 2012 the quality has gone down, portions are smaller prices are the same. Ordered the grilled fish tacos, which fell apart in my hands. Fish had no flavor at all, ended up not finishing them because it did have a weird, too long in the freezer taste. Order of spicy langoustines is fewer langoustines and they are also smaller, overall disappointing to see how bad this place has gotten.

Good real mexican seafood and the specials during the week are awesome! Agua de piña is really good! Chips delicious! Clean friendly staff, just a real good place to eat

Bland. I would not go back to try anything else. Horrible chips/​Salsa, worse rice and beans, and queso with no flavor.
