Even though I did not find the part I was looking for, I loved this store. It has that small town hardware store feeling as soon as you walk in. People there are happy to help you find what you need. The folks here were genuinely sorry they were out of the part I needed. They were nice enough to suggest another place that would have it. My kind of place!

I dislike the big box depo type stores. This is my local hardware store and I always shop here. 85% of the time they have what I need. Personally its worth the extra few cents the products cost. No lines no endless wandering looking for what you need. No looking for a sales associate. No issues with returns especially credit card fraud. Plus fresh popcorn for free on the weekends.

Used to go to the previous Ace Hardware all the time if I was needing small non-lumber stuff and I’m glad to see someone else has bought this place and reopened. The people here are not quite as ‘I know everything’ as the other guys used to be and that’s a good thing. I’m typically rigging something together that opinions seldom help all that much on. Selection has plenty for me to ‘work’ with.

Their selection isn’t as great as I would like it to be, but the previous Ace Hardware had a better selection and they went out of business. I know, they can’t carry everything and it’s difficult to compete with the super big box stores, I guess I just want my cake and to be able to eat it too. Just recently I went in there for ¼″ rivets and the biggest they had were 3/16″. Luckily, I got away with getting ¼″ screws and nuts instead and that worked fine, just wasn’t what I originally was seeking. It appears they’re starting to sell Craftsman tools as well. That’s good news, if Sears happens to go out of business.

Floyd works here. You know Floyd. He was your parents hardware store owner/shop keeper before the big box stores popped up. Well now he works here. Not really but someone who is willing to help and very knowledgeable works here. I have been going to this store for the last few months and every time I go they always greet me when i walk in and willing to help. I needed a good sprinkler for my yard and the guy took the time to show me what he had and explained to me what would for best for me and not his profit. Just this weekend I went there to buy a big flag pole for the yard and they walked me through the process and made sure I had everything I needed. I even had a question and called them and they walked me through it on the phone. While the big box stores are nice I feel I can get personal attention here. If you need help with your DYI project or need a rare part they have it here.
