Decent phở, not the best I’ve ever had. Came here on accident, because I happened to be in the area. They didn’t have any other options besides beef phở, no chicken or just straight vegetables. The broth tasted fresh, but I think it contained a lot of soy, which did not agree with me. Quick service and decent prices.

Having a mom who cooked vietnamese food for the family, I think this place is not worth going to. Vietnamese cuisine uses LOTS of vegetables, which means having fresh, green veggies is key. The veggies they gave were yellowed, seemed as if they were left out for several days. The shrimp they used tasted a bit old as well. The place seems like its’ owner does not give two shits about the cuisine, which I find very disrespectful. Every chef knows that making a dish means putting love and effort into it so that people can enjoy it.

Their Phở is sub par. THey might have multiple locations but I almost have no idea how/why it’s popular. Maybe because they try to cater to non Viet crowd/taste which is fine but not me. Afraid to try anything other than the phở if they can’t get their main dish for me to like.

Sooo good! I definitely love the phở(it IS in the name of the restaurant) and the spring rolls. The grilled pork vermicelli is also quite tasty and comes with a really good sauce. I don’t know what is in it but I keep coming back for more! Probably rice wine vinegar, fish sauce, and maybe something else? Also, the outdoor seating area is populated by old guys that appear to have seen it all. That is pretty much the best recommendation you can get!

I love Phở! Whenever I travel on business one of the first things I do is look for a Vietnamese restaurant near me. I’m not super well-traveled, but I’d say I’ve had it in at least 10 or 12 cities, not including my own. I have to say that I’ve had good Phở, bad Phở, great Phở, and ok Phở. I went last night, Wed. March 21, 2012. This was as good as my personal favorite restaurant back home in San Antonio. The noodles tasted very fresh, and the broth was fantastic. I had the Phở Tai, which is just the thinly sliced round steak. It was simply marvelous. I am going back before I leave town at the end of the week! I was sorry to see some bad reviews. I couldn’t disagree more, but I respect that everyone’s tastes are different. Mine says a big YES to this place!

This is not my favorite Phở Que Huong– but it’s alright if I’m in that hood. Down side– they don’t have the pickled jalapeño’s that most PQH make home made– and they are awesome! I have ordered a seafood phở and gotten the beef phở here. That’s odd because they’re order by number and no where near close on the list… But, I like both types, so I didn’t send it back– but was a bit disappointed. Their broths are fresh and tasty. I find them to be more flavorful than a lot of phở places I’ve been– so if you like a well flavored broth– here you go. The Goi Coun here is typically wrapped in the morning(you can taste the difference). I wish they’d wrap them thru the day, so as to avoid that tacky skin junk– it ruins the experience. The staff is friendly and as is most phở– fast service!

Best phở in DFW. Locations across the Metroplex. You know it’s authentic when they have locations in Cambodia and Vietnam. Extremely quick orders when you ask for takeout at lunch.

How disappointing! I come to visit my mom for Thanksgiving and I’m super excited to go out to eat some REAL vietnamese food(San Diego doesn’t have much vietnamese food). Unfortunately, we go here and I couldn’t have been more displeased. When I came in the waiter reeked of cigarette smoke — it even lingered after he left! So gross! We ordered the appetizer sampler, bun thit nuong, and phở bo kho. 1. Appetizer Sampler — has 3 different appetizers including spring rolls, eggrolls, and meatballs. The eggrolls were disgustingly small. The spring rolls were as cheap as they could get. — I think it was just noodles and shredded lettuce… maybe a little bit of meat? The meatballs were too hard and difficult to chew.(On top of that, they didn’t bring out the appetizers until we were HALFWAY done with our entrees.) 2. Bun Thit Nuong — my mom ordered this. This is a standard dish that almost every vietnamese restaurant has. I always thought you could never go wrong with this dish — WRONG! My mom who always finishes her meals could not finish half of it because the meat was just too chewy. 3. Phở Bo Kho — Wow! worst decision ever. I don’t even know how to explain how chewy and cheap the meat tasted. It literally tasted like they took all the shitty and leftover meat and put it in this stew. Usually when I can’t finish food, my mom always makes me finish the meat. But this meat was so disgusting, she didn’t even bother. haha — I also asked for a loaf of bread at the beginning of the meal and he totally forgot to give it to me! This place sucks. Service, food, and everything about it. Also, that waiter that smells of cigarette smoke looks like a total douche. Seriously don’t go here if you could help it. I’d rather starve.

We sat down for a good 15 minutes before anyone noticed and when the food came, it was less than okay. The phở was not good, there was no meat, a lot of soup that did not taste fresh at all. Very disappointed.

Good. Dependable. Reasonably priced. These are the things I think about with Phở Que Huong in the Saigon Mall. We often stop by to pick up Grilled Pork Vermicelli, Shrimp Spring Rolls and Curry Chicken to go. All three hit the spot. I have never been disappointed in their Vermicelli. The Curry Chicken is hot and spicy with slices of tomato included on a bed of steamed rice. As noted in previous reviews, the staff is friendly and the food is prepared in the open grill as you wait. We plan to continue to stop by the Saigon Mall and pick up tasty Vietnamese food from Phở Que Huong.

We got there at noon and ordered 5 waters and 5 different types of phở and a bahn mi. We sat there waiting for 5 minutes for out waters to come out and it wasnt only until our bahn mi came out that i got up and walked up to the cashier. We were really the only customers in there and she forgot out waters. The nicest description of the waitress i can give is she is an idiot. Then the phở came out and it tasted like burnt onions. I really should have known better than to eat phở here but we were shopping in the area. This place is the worst place to eat, the service is always crap at every location, and why IN the HAIL doesnt any waitress at any phở restaurant ever refill waters! Its like all the phở business owners came together and decided that they wouldnt refill waters. It just doesnt happen and im always left eating ice. Its probably the culture but ffs, we is in America now; gimme a water refill!!!

This is a great restaurant. Although I was familiar with Vietnamese food, my wife was not, so the fact that the menu has pictures to show you what you get is extremely helpful. We’ve been several times for lunch, and we just love it. The wife tried the beef stew the first time and fell in love. Since then we’ve tried assorted noodle dishes(I like the broad egg noodle dishes, with chicken, and curried chicken in particular), and soups. We have not tried the sandwiches though. But everything we’ve had has been excellent. The prices are extremely reasonable, even downright cheap. Most dishes are not more than $ 7, and the servings are generous. The restaurant is modest inside, but clean. We have told friends and colleagues about this place and everyone who goes also loves it. It may be chain, but the quality of food is very high, and most of all, it is just delicious, fresh, and healthy.

Phở Que Huong is like the McDonald’s of phở restaurants. A big chain with the same menu items that aren’t so great and sometimes bad. The only thing I like about them is that you always know what you’re going to get.

One of the priorities after moving to the Rowlett area for my wife and I, was to find a good Vietnamese/Phở restaurant! We thought I’d be harder than it actually was, but Unilocal!didn’t let us down! :) Phở Que Huong was very easy to locate and it is part of a strip mall dedicated to other Vietnamese/Korean restaurants as well as a Super Market, called Saigon Mall. Phở Que Huong is just a pleasant place to eat at for being Vietnamese food because it’s very clean, the staff is friendly and they have an open kitchen! I’m always wary of some restaurants that do not have some sort of open kitchen, because you never KNOW how clean it really is! My wife and I shared the Grilled Pork Spring Rolls, while I had the Pork & Eggroll Vermicelli and my wife had the Chicken Pad Tai. The presentation of the dishes made them look delicious! When our meal arrived, we pleasantly surprised to see that it was cooked using very fresh vegetables and ingredients. All in all, the food was obviously very fresh and this added to the fantastic flavors. My wife also noted this is one of the few place that actually used Pad Thai noodles in their Pad Thai, which was a treat. My wife also had their Lemonade Ice Tea, which she said she would go back JUST to have the Lemonade Ice Tea, because it was just that good. ;) All in all, Phở Que Huong was a fantastic dining experience! Clean, Friendly and GREATFOOD! I’m not sure what else you could ask for from an eatery! :)

I really used to like this location when they first opened. The food was good, affordable and the service was quick like most Phở places. My boyfriends parents even started a ritual of eating here every Sunday for lunch but that’s come to a halt. In the past few weeks there’s been a definite change in the food. I went last Sunday and couldn’t continue eating after a few bites of my curry chicken noodles. It was REALLY oily and the curry flavor was too light it was almost non existent. All the sriracha in the world couldn’t help this one. Richard Q. got the shredded pork and egg roll with vermicelli noodles which is usually good here but they changed the type of noodles they used and it was just so so. We also got the tofu spring roll and the peanut sauce it came with was really watery but the spring roll itself was decent. The spring rolls did come out after our main dishes of course(Phở places will so give you your appetizer as an aftertizer or with your entrees). Hopefully their rice dishes are still good. I’ve had the pork chop, shredded pork and egg cake(C4) which was good and their triple grill dish(c6). The meat was really flavorful and the egg cake was delicious. On this visit however I was not full or satisfied. I looked around and saw funny expressions from other patrons as well as they got their food and took their first bites. I guess I will have to get my Phở elsewhere when grocery shopping around Saigon.

Since moving to Dallas, I’ve been on a search for some Vietnamese food – in particular, the vermicelli noodles bowl with charbroiled pork. Austin has some great places – Tan My was a favorite – so my girlfriend and I set out on the quest to find something comparable in Dallas. Thank you Saigon Mall! This was our first restaurant in this establishment(this restaurant connects to the rest of the shopping mall – which also features several other places for food, including one with karaōke), and it definitely surpassed my expectations. It was really nice and clean, and has plasma tvs throughout the restaurant. We started with an appetizer of charbroiled pork spring rolls($ 2.50) with peanut sauce – incredibly delicious. The vermicelli bowl with bbq pork and an egg roll($ 5.95) came quickly afterward. The veggies(cucumber, carrots, lettuce, bean sprouts) and cilantro were fresh and add a nice balance to the pork. The grilled pork was some of the best I have ever had in a vermicelli bowl – nicely marinated and tender. For an inexpensive, yet filling & tasty meal, head over to the Saigon Mall and check this place out. We’ll definitely be back to try the other establishments in the mall(including the bubble tea!)

If you come here knowing that you’re going to get a good bowl of phở, you won’t be disappointed! The décor is meh, so so — nothing spectacular but it gets the job done. I usually get phở bo vein(P16) and that’s what I got today. It was great — light flavorful broth done up right with sri racha and plum sauce. I always add lime and sprouts to add more flavor and some crunch. The noodles were perfect and I left with a happy warm belly.

I couldn’t wait for Friday’s Vietnam Restaurant UYE, so I hit Phở Que Huong on the way home this afternoon to bust my phở cherry. I had never had phở, in fact until a couple of months ago, I didn’t even know how to pronounce it! It’s pronounced«fuh», which makes the name of this restaurant rock… basically, it’s Fuh-Que Huong. Niiice. The space is nice and open. It could be any kind of yuppish restaurant in DFW. The only exception is that instead of having CNN or ESPN on the big flatscreen, it was playing Vietnamese soaps. I was probably the only white dude within 300 yards of this place, but I didn’t feel like I was out of place. The hostess & the waitress were polite. But the waitress barely spoke ANY English. I had to point out what I wanted on the menu(which is HUGE, BTW). I started off with the Vietnamese Eggrolls. They were decent, nothing special. They were served with some type of clear liquid and vinegared carrots. I ordered the special Phở, which I think may have been a mistake for a first timer. I really don’t know exactly what was in it. I recognized the sliced beef, there was the weirdest tripe I’ve ever seen(which I learned is omasum tripe) – I’m used to the type of tripe that’s in menudo, some kind of fatty connective tissues, and what I thought were meatballs. However, they were the crunchiest meatballs I’ve ever eaten… I’ve got a bad feeling that I may have been munching on some poor bull’s nuts. I tried not to think too hard about it – maybe that’s how my wife gets through having my balls in her mouth too! Anyway, the phở came with a side plate of bean sprouts, a hunk of lime, and an assortment of herbs that I’ve never seen before. I had high expectations for my phở… maybe too high. After watching my idol Anthony Bourdain gush on about phở(and other related Souteast Asian soups), I was expecting to blow a load at first taste. Unfortunately, I didn’t. It’s not that it was bad, by any means, it just wasn’t something that would make me do backflips. The phở lacked a depth of flavor that I was anticipating. Maybe it’s me… I’ll definitely try phở again, but maybe I’ll stick with just recognizable components of meat for now. What makes this visit 4 stars instead of 3 was the Ca Phe Sua Da. Oh. My. God. This is iced milk coffee. A little pot of coffee drips down from a Vietnamese pot(kind of like a french press, but with a hole in the bottom) into a cup of sweetened condensed milk. You then pour that mixture over ice. I swear to you that this makes any other coffee I’ve ever had taste like that burnt shit that you used to find at the Fina station. This drink is so good that it’s a shame to drink it anywhere but on a sweltering porch of some no-name hotel in Vietnam with the fan dancing slowly in the thick, humid air. I pray that I can’t duplicate the taste at my house, otherwise I’m going to be hooked like phonics.
