A long time patient of Dr Bob since 1974. He and his staff are outstanding in the care of me and my family. Absolutely the best in the Garner area!

During the summer, I needed an eye doctor for a terrible eye infection. I have had an outstanding experience with every worker at Johnson OPtometrics.
Last year I had the same infection but to a lesser extent. I went to a different doctor and was given mimimal attention and impersonal care. Additionally, when I inquired about updating my lens perscription, I was told that I would be charged an extra $ 70 if I did not buy the lenses from that doctor.
At Johnson Optometrics, it was completely the opposite. Because my infection was so bad, I had to return many times. Dr. May was patient, concerned, and aware that the cost of the visits were taxing on my budget, giving me a sample of the antibiotic and a coupon to help me save money. When an opening was available, his office called to see if I wanted to take it for my convenience.
When my eyes were better, we discussed updated my lens perscription and I was happy to hear I was free (and un-​charged) to obtain the lenses outside of their office. Since it was my first time with toric contact lenses, he patiently sent me home to test at least 4 different brands to make sure that I would purchase the best fit, even ordering samples of less commonly used types, which fit my eyes better.
The office staff knows the MANY patients by name & even phone voice. They are amazing.
