Accomodations At Cobbly Nob

Our group of 4 typically rents a cabin twice a year. This time we chose Cobbly Nob Rentals. Our cabin was Whisper Wind.
This particular cabin was very well stocked with kitchen/​dining supplies, games and non-​typical items like a small electric wine cooler. It was very clean, and a particular plus was that upper bedroom (typically an open loft in cabins) was enclosed. This allows people to be able to stay up and watch TV on the main level without bothering early to bedders!
This cabin was the final one on the road, so it was wonderfully isolated and there was absolutely no traffic outside.
Our interaction with the folks at the main HQ was wonderful. They were very helpful with assisting us with an after hours arrival, with golf course information, etc. Very pleasant.
Having rented many cabins over the years, I would be remiss to not mention just a couple of drawbacks.
1) This particular cabin does not offer a hot tub to fit four. Three at most, and most comfortably two. This was a major drawback. However, there was no picture of the hot tub on the website, and that in itself should have been an indicator to call them to find out.
2) The rental agency does NOT supply what most would consider «basics». Regardless of your length of stay, you are supplied with one roll of toilet paper per bathroom, two dishwasher tablets and whatever paper towels are on the roll in the kitchen, and the one trash liner bag. So, when calculating the cost of the rental, be sure to figure in these extras which you will need to purchase if you plan on staying more than one day.
3) There are no outside garbage bins, and you are required to drive your garbage to the main HQ to put into dumpsters. A minor annoyance.
These are minor points, but the reason this review was a 4 rather than 5 star. Based on our stay and interaction with Cobbly Nob, we would recommend them to anyone visiting the Gatlinburg area.
