Great selection! Wonderful service! Delectable treats. … and free samples. We went to a different ice cream shop last year after our big meal on the strip. It was ok, but didn’t hold a candle to Kilwin’s. Kilwin’s has it all — great ice cream, fudge, and a huge variety of over treats — caramel apples, toffees, etc. So, you really get something for everyone. You get to sample as many fudge and ice cream flavors as you’d like. It is pricey. I dropped $ 35 pretty easily on some fudge, a milkshake and candy apple. But, of all the places on the strip, it’s nice to have good service and high quality products. My first night, I tried the Traverse City Cherry ice cream. It was amazing. It made me come back for more where my son wanted the blue ice cream. Wah wahhh. Because of the fudge costs, I had to share with him, but still good. Do yourself a favor — sea salt caramel fudge. Just do it. Enjoyed this spot, and will come back again. Nice little bit of AC, while walking the strip, and a great place for an after dinner treat.

Stopped by Kilwin’s to grab some ice cream. All of their product is homemade. Smells great in there and the decision is hard to make… they allow you to taste as much as you like. It was worth stopping in!

This is a very popular place for a treat. We had to wait in a long line for just so-so ice cream. The prices are a bit high. I prefer Haagen Daz personally.

We loved the ice cream here and they had a good selection of flavors. The waffle cones are great, fresh made and aren’t even a dollar more than the small sugar cone. Our son loved watching them make the cones and fudge through the window while we ate outside.

My fiancé and I loved this place! We were in the mood for fresh, homemade ice cream. Even though we delight in our Ben & Jerry’s purchases from the grocery store, we always pick local creameries when we are craving an ice cream cone outside of the house. The staff are SO friendly and there is no limit on how many flavors you try(don’t go overboard!). Jasper got Spicy Mexican Chocolate in a sugar cone(very interesting flavor), and I got New Orleans Prailine in a cake cone. Jasper never eats dessert, but he actually ended up stealing the last half of my dessert because he loved the ice cream so much! What’s more, they aren’t just a creamery: they make fresh chocolate concoctions, fudge, chocolate-covered strawberries, and candied apples on-site. As my fiancé said, you smell the aroma of «a marshmallow filled with all of the world’s combined happiness and magic… that has exploded» when you walk in. It’s mouth-watering…and you basically have to come here!

We stop here every time we are in town. Normally it’s just for the pralines, which are amazing. Today we stopped by and they were out. The gentleman behind the counter said they would make some and told us about when they’d be done. So, we went on our way and made it back later in the afternoon. The pralines were done and were amazing as usual. Today’s trip also included ice cream. Six of us had six different kinds and they were all wonderful. I enjoy Superman ice cream because as a kid I remember the local dairy always serving serving it. To sum it up, the candy is great, the service is wonderful and the ice cream is terrific!

Kilwin’s is a franchise with over 80 stores. Many of the techniques used in 1947, when the first store opened, are still in use today. This location offers hand made fudge, original recipe ice cream, and an assortment of chocolates, candies, and chocolate and caramel dipped apples and candies. The service was excellent during our visit. The guy serving us really went out of his way to make sure we received everything we wanted and needed to have the best experience possible. The ice cream is traditional, without all the fancy toppings one may find at newer frozen treat establishments. There aren’t many flavors compared to larger chains, but the flavors they do have are tasty. The store is clean and open, and there are plenty of benches outside along the strip to sit and enjoy all the delectables. The candy/fudge factory is visible, and watching the process is fascinating to me. Overall, I enjoyed my visit, but they are not offering anything above average. What you find here, you can get every block or two on either side of the strip.

This is a must if you’re in Gatlinburg. The apples are amazing! The fudge so creamy and the ice cream was absolutely delightful! I am from Texas and usually the only ice cream I eat is blue bell and their ice cream was amazing. I had the Gatlinburg mud which I wish I had in my freezer right now and my husband got the new triple berry pie ice cream — I’m not sure what the name actually was but it had crust in it!!! We were in the area the first week on January and we were the only people out and about eating ice cream in the freezing weather. Completely worth it! I think we went there 3 times within a few days to get yummy snacks. All the workers were so nice and weren’t at all rude with me asking all sorts of questions!

Best fudge in Gatlinburg! All are about the same price, so find the one you like most. This is the one we choose. Fudge is always being made fresh and is soft and taste wonderful. They have other candies, goodies and ice cream also.

The variety of candy apples were amazing. I decided on the apple pie one. It was absolutely the most delightful thing I have ever ate. The granny smith apple was huge and fresh. My husband got an ice cream cone. Turtle cheesecake. He said it was amazing. The place is slightly high priced but we’ll worth it. They also had convenient to go containers for the apples. We will be back for our next visit!

Reviewing ice cream places is hard because there are so many incredible places in Louisville. So I can’t quite give this place marks for having«the best» but it was decent and they have a lot of choices in ice cream, fudge, apples, etc. It was kind of lame that they make you pay for bottled water instead of offering cups. I guess that’s to be expected in a tourist town. They excel when it comes to service, though. They are eager to let you sample to your heart’s delight.

Love the chocolate ice cream. Everything is on the high side as as prices go, but the novelties are good.

Chocolate banana ice cream! We went in every ice cream place in Gatlinburg in search of banana pudding ice cream, my husband’s favorite. We didn’t find banana pudding but we did find chocolate banana ice cream here. He said it was great. I had the chocolate ice cream and it was so good that I didn’t even care that I spilled some all over my white shirt. The line was long but it didn’t take long to get through it. The service was great and pretty fast. Everyone was very friendly.

Awesome fudge! So many places sell candy but mark it as fudge – this is not that. Smooth and creamy, with thick slices. Everything in the store is clearly fresh and the place smells heavenly! Next time I will sample their ice cream.

Chocolate, ice cream, fudge, weird little treats(I got a caramel-covered rice krispie treat), and long, long lines. If they only have one person at the ice cream counter, and the customer wants to try everything(or has 1+ kids), get used to the back of the head in front of you. Fudge samples are the same deal here. It’s an okay place. And if you’re looking for franchise opportunities, fear not! Their information is everywhere.

Try the Gatlinburg mud! Neat little store in the North end of the Gatlinburg strip. They make their own fudge, popcorn and ice cream. In terms of selection they probably have the largest and most diverse ice cream selection in town! This was the 4th ice cream parlor we tasted during our weeklong trip and really enjoyed it. You really can’t miss the store front. As you walk by you are invited by the smell of fresh baked waffle cones. Irresistible! My daughters opted for the chocolate and the«Superman» ice cream. I tried the Gatlinburg mud which is vanilla ice cream mixed with caramel and bits of fudge. My next choice would have been the salted caramel. Prices were middle of the road but not as expensive as Ben and Jerry’s. Definitely check this place out!
