Do miss this place. Looks like nothing to offer special outside but a world travelled owner and selection inside. There are so many special liquors he has brought in I was totally caught off guard. It will be my store of choice if I am anywhere in the area. He was so helpful and nice. Great experience.

For a small town liquor store this is pretty good. The owner is helpful and friendly but taste sometimes dictates what is on the shelves. For instance a particular limoncello interested my wife but he didn’t care for it. The inventory is still pretty good. In a small store you can’t count on every obscure bourbon or gin but there is a lot to be found. This is still a government monopoly store. Prices are set to allow the owner a small profit and he can only sell what the state has in its warehouses. Credit cards are accepted but not American Express.

Small but decent selection. Cheap. Being from Washington I forget there is no sales tax in Oregon. What you see is what you get. Friendly service. The woman working the counter was a peach and laughed with us when we couldn’t believe the prices. Don’t know much else what you would want — Gearhart more than provided for our Bachelorette weekend.

I am not a huge customer of booze anymore, but I was in the parking lot and popped in to see what a state run liquor store in Oregon is like. Huge selection packed into a tight little shop. I have never seen so many different flavours of vodka in one place. Infused flavours seem to be the new thing now when it comes to boozeology. The owner was a damn nice guy that I could spend hours bs-ing with. We talked trends, politics, and business like we were long lost mates. Check out the tequila with the fookin scorpion in the bottom… worms are for pansies I suppose nowadays. Prices seemed all over the place, but that is the state, not the owner fixing that. I like how he stays open as late as people will come in… such a basic rule of business success that nary a place in Oregon has figured out. This lad will always reap a nice profit due to his flexibility and smart business sense. He carries so much inventory, one can find anything for any budget. I was actually shocked at how cheap some of the prices were on some items. If you need some inspiration as to what to purchase, just take a few minutes looking around here and I am sure that you will find something to fit the bill.

I really like this liquor store. Not because of the selection, ‘cuz I know what I want went I go in and never spend time browsing, but because of the guy behind the counter. I would guess that he’s the owner, since he’s the one that usually there. He’s an older gentlemen who is more left wing than right, and once he was listening to some liberal radio show that I found amusing. We talked about health care and what-not, and I left feeling a little better about the kind of people in this world. Pleasant place.

HAHA! Must have been drinkin’ the Boston. Spelled liquor wrong and I’m OCD enough to need to try and correct it.
