Sunday morning fiasco — cold coffee, no waitress, long wait — a trilogy of problems. The restaurant was not quite half full and was totally full by the time we left around 10 am. The hostess said the coffee was brewing when she greeted us. So we waited for coffee, then when she came back with coffee, it was cold. We alerted her to the problem and she came back and said the back burner was out. No waitress had been to our table other than to drop off 2 glasses of water. While we waited, a group of three sat at a table near us and a waitress took their order first. When the waitress came by our table, I told her we were there first and asked if she’d take our order. She did, but the other table was served first — about 50 minutes later! On top of that our food was cold and my raisin toast came out half way through my meal. Needless to say, we will not go back. Very unprofessionally run restaurant. We should have heeded the other reviews.

My guess is that if there were more choices in town, this place would cease to exist. The only thing worse than the service is the food. Several years ago this was a fairly decent place to eat, but it’s declined steadily over the past several years. I keep checking in now and again in the hopes that they’ve gotten their shit together, but I I’m going to go out on a rope and say it’s never going to happen.

Stopped in for breakfast around 9AM this morning. There were four other people in addition to our group of three. It was like stepping into a time warp with the décor, which is to be expected for small town America. Still cozy :) The service was prompt and friendly. I definitely felt attended to. I ordered the cinnamon french toast combo for $ 6.99. It was ALOT of food for a very reasonable price. The French toast was really good! It might be the best I’ve had yet. The cinnamon really makes it. I requested scrambled eggs and it came out more as an egg pancake. The bacon tasted weird. I’m really hoping that’s because of the kind versus the age of it. Time will tell. So, I wasn’t totally thrilled with the sides but again, the French toast was awesome. The other two ordered an American Omelette with hash browns and split it. Smart choice as the portions were HUGE. They said it was yummy and filling. Our total bill came to around $ 19.00 and for what we got, I found that to be very reasonable. If you’re in town, give it a shot

After five years of going to Parkway I am sad to have to write a poor revue. We went there yesterday, and were very sad to see that the place has slipped drastically over the last 2 years. The owner lady with the thick accent has lost the«hungry«that it takes to provide acceptable service. She was always very chatty but not at the expense of the customers. It appears that She has made all of the money that she will ever need, and no longer cares about who is waiting for what, she’d rather yakkity yak it up with the locals than see to those that want to fling money at her. Its sad, Especially now that The Manner has closed, I predict that unless she drastically changes her attitude twords paying customers, this will be the next place to close in this nice little town. We and five other customers were ignored by her, some waited for drinks, others condiments, and some others to check out or just get their food, . None of us could figure out why she felt the need to disregard us. We like traveling to Geneseo, but we can only give her two more chances to bring her«A» game to the party.(everyone gets three chances) The waitress we had was in high gear the whole time waiting on 8 people, she did a good job, but she needed assistance, We and others felt bad for her. Every one has heard of her relocation here and how hard she worked to get where she is currently, but now her actions are speaking louder than her words. Please, take care of your customers before getting in to 5 minute conversations with your guests. Head on a swivel, look around and see how you can help support your workers.

Okay food, I tried breakfast, waffles with blueberries, OJ, coffee, $ 12 without tip. Service was good, limited menu; definitely not a vegetarian or vegan friendly restaurant; not even a fresh fruit option for breakfast and no non dairy creamers available either; old school, but this is Geneseo so I shouldn’t be surprised huh?

Best breakfast in town. I travel on business and always come here to eat. It never disappoints. I highly recommend it for lunch as well. The burgers are some of the best I’ve ever had.

My kids love this place for the breakfast food. I say«meh». The food is hit and miss. The décor screams early 80’s and the cleanliness leaves something to be desired. Overall, there are much better options in town.

Good breakfast, but expensive. $ 20 for 2 people! Their other menus aren’t much else, but a good diner breakfast is why I continue to give them my business. The owners are very friendly and make sure you are taken care of.
