Location, atmosphere-awesome! Service at bar, substandard. When it was slow at bar we were ignored. When it was packed we were ignored, after bringing a group of friends, having dinner at bar, service was like pulling teeth. It took her 20 minutes after our drinks were empty to even look at us… Oh well.

Service is ok. You often have to ask several times to get something. The food is good and that have a pretty big selection. We come here because it is attached to the ice rink so it is convenient to eat at while my son is at practice. Most of the patrons are hockey parents.

Hamburger was dry and tasteless. We asked for medium rare and got well done. Fries are very good. Service was really slow.

The service was exceptionally slow, and the restaurant was mostly empty. The waitress told my husband that Molson beer was included in the on tap special, but when the bill came, we were charged full price, because Molson was a premium beer. Management refused to make an adjustment. The French onion soup was tasteless and looked like dirty dish water, although the cheese on top was plentiful and tasty. The cheese sticks were good and appeared to be homemade instead of processed. The hamburgers were flavorful, although our entire party’s order were dry and well done instead of medium rare. It’s a captive audience at the rink, so it appears that management doesn’t care about service or quality.

Great customer service! Servers are attentive and kind. Good specials too! However the food, just a no. The menu is too big. I ordered a burger medium rare got it well done, not the slightest bit pink and overall no real flavor. Would not order again. Fries and mozzarella sticks are pretty good.

We’ve been here twice. It’s nice to go because father and son are hockey(Black hawk) fans. One thing that is deceiving about this place is that it looks packed all the time. This is due to the fact that there are two ice rinks in the building and there are youth hockey games going on, so all that mass people you see parked in the lot, is for this reason. NOT the restaurant. If you get there early enough you can get a high-top table next to the window to the actual north ice rink at the facility and watch a youth game. Food is in large portions but after that, not much to write home about. The first time we went, we had an ok time. Probably would’ve given it 4 stars on that visit. But the second time we went, we had a bad time. I ordered a steak, my Mother ordered a chicken sandwhich. Aside from the fact that it took nearly 45 minutes to get our dinner, once it came out, my steak was raw. I personally don’t care, it’s red meat, I’ll eat it anyway it comes, but I do prefer«medium» which is what I asked for. My Mother’s chicken sandwhich came out pretty much completely uncooked. She had it sent back for another, which by this time, it was late, raining out, and she needed to trek back home over the border, to Wisconsin, so she just had it made to go… She did say the second one was cooked though and it was good later when she ate. It wasn’t our waitresses fault. I guess a big order had gone in before ours or so we’re told. So after this, we’ll probably just avoid this place. Besides, Country House is right down the street…

Went here for game 1 of the Stanley Cup. The service was horrible on several counts: 1) We ordered a glass of wine and a Corona with a lime. She delivered the Corona without lime and walked away quickly and the wine was terrible(tasted like it was the $ 3 per bottle Barefoot wine). 2) We ordered a 12 inch pizza and we got a small 6 inch personal pizza. The waitress insisted it was 12 inch. I had to get another waitress to recognize the error. Then, instead of letting us eat that pizza, they took it away and made us wait another 20 minutes until the next 1 was cooked. 3) Food was mediocre. We also ordered grilled calamari that was not very fresh 4) When it was time to leave, I had to ask twice for the bill and it took 10 minutes to get it. I will not be coming back to this place. Period.

Game 1 of the Stanley Cup is the only thing that made this visit tolerable. Cool joint if you are into the Chicago Blackhawks. I am from a state where hockey is not big, so… Service started out pretty good, but got terrible as the crowd swelled for the hockey. Food was just ok. Reminded me of something I can get in any food-service dependant, wanna-be bar and grill. Very ordinary, unimaginative and uninspired. Pretty good beer selection. If ever I am in the area on hockey night, maybe…

Terrible. US Foodservice delivers their entire menu and it’s all bad. Service is mediocre but it’s the food that kills you. No effort to try to make anything interesting. Just because you have a captive audience it does not give you the right to serve lousy good.

Decent bar food prices are reasonable portions are good. My experience in service was horrible! With only two other tables seated I sat down and was not greeted after 15 minutes my brother got tired of it and went to the bar. In fact one of the servers came up stood by our table looking through the window at the hockey game on the ice never asked us if we would like to order a drink eat some food etc. Her name is Ashley probably the worst server I have experienced. It would’ve been better if she just never came around as opposed to coming close to our table and never asking us if we wanted to order food or drinks. I allowed her the opportunity she never did! After we had corrected the lack of service Ariel the bartender jumped in took over and did a fabulous job! I don’t believe management properly train their staff on how to serve!

Horrible service. Waited 20 minutes for drinks, dirty plates and the manager seemed annoyed that I was complaining. Food was good and the atmosphere was nice for a family or watching a game with friends. Hard to overcome poor service though.

Amazing atmosphere for the Hawks game, good specials, great food(huge portions!), the waitstaff are very friendly and work hard. We love coming here abd visit frequently. Family friendly also or gray for a night out with friends. The manager(or owner, not sure which) is always around and that means a lot. The fried pickles are one of my favorites!

Nothing would be better than a nice cup of coffee or hot chocolate to go with that hockey game we were watching but due to the horrible service my wife went to get 2 cups of coffee and came back empty-handed 20 minutes later. the manager was of no help.

I’ll be back, even though I had a problem. Went with a small group after watching some youth hockey. Prices were fair and everyone except me thought the food was great. I ordered tacos and requested them to be made vegetarian(which is how they come unless you specifically request meat). As I started eating them, I discovered they were full of ground beef. I did not send them back because our group was limited on time. So I ate around the meat and ate all of the sides. The sides, guacamole, black beans, and rice, were excellent. When our waitress cleared the plates she realized that meat had been added to my dish. She came over and sincerely apologized and took the entire entrée off of the bill. This shows a high level of service and concern and clearly the problem was in the kitchen. So I plan to go back and try many of the other vegetarian offerings they have.

The date of my visit was Sunday, December 28th. My server(s) were excellent… very attentive to my needs. I’ve been here a few times but had to talk about the boneless wings. The best I’ve ever had! And I’ve had them anywhere and everywhere. Plump and juicy on the inside and NOT hard/crunchy on the outside. Everyone makes this mistake with boneless! The atmosphere is decent, very family friendly… I was there by myself… and prices are reasonable. A nice visit.

I’ll be the first to admit I’ve not been here since 2010, so I’m sure it’s changed since then, but I don’t recall anything remarkable about my experience… which probably tells why I was not compelled to go back. A little history. This place used to Elliott’s Off Broadway, an eatery that was doomed with slug speed service, average food and the style of a stale 1990s restaurant that looked like it had been neglected for years. Chelios’ came in, dropped 20 G’s and gutted the place, giving it a much needed face lift. In my two visits from years past, they were on weeknights and it was fairly quiet. I remember ordering some chicken wraps and the waitress said«uh, you probably don’t want to order those.» Wow! Never heard that from a server, but hey, at least she was looking out for me!(It also made me wonder what the hell is going on in the back kitchen). It’s your typical bar food. Hopefully their chicken wraps are edible now. It’s definitely a lot nicer atmosphere-wise. Overall, this place is OK, there’s nothing special about it. I may go back just to check it out at some point, mainly because some of the other sports pubs around also suffer from atrocious service. Who knows, maybe I can upgrade them if they come through in the clutch.

A Great environment for the whole family and the food is definitely above average. I enjoyed the buffalo wings and the pepperoni pizza while watching a hockey game. You can see the game while you eat. What a great feature Just a solid all around place for dining and entertainment

My my wife and I went to Chelios in Geneva to watch the Blackhawks and have what we thought would be barfood… We got there a little early hoping to get a good seat. We found the bar to be a huge place! We got great seats with multiple TVs to watch and ordered some drinks. One wall is a big glass that you can watch others play hockey and practice. That was quite entertaining as I had never been that close to A hockey goal. The menu is amazing as they offer many things that your normal sparks bar does not. We ordered a New York strip steak… What we received was the most wonderfully cooked and seasoned steak. The baked potato and onion rings were awesome and the plate was full of steamed broccoli and carrots! Our waitress name was Lisa and she was fantastic! She gave us many choices, and was very attentive to our needs. We could tell she knew the menu well. She also told us about their fried Oreos with ice cream! A must have! A great meal… we could not eat it all and it made for an excellent lunch the next day at work… It was a wonderful atmosphere the Blackhawks won! We will be going back again this weekend! The managers name was Mark and he seemed like a great guy and invited us back. We look forward to going back this weekend and trying the asparagus and maybe something else as an entrée. My wife wants another steak she said it was the best she has had in a long time…17.00. Really! We have also gone to Chelios on Ogden … It was also nice but it was exactly what we expected. Geneva was a touch above with outstanding food and service. Lisa and Mark… you guys rock! We will be back!

I love Chelios! I typically hang out on week nights because my brother plays mens league hockey at the ice arena. It’s a great place to grab dinner or drinks — not too pricey and the food is very good. Plus they have great drink specials during the week! I’ve never been there on weekends or during a Hawks game, but it’s usually pretty tame on week nights. I definitely recommend it!

We stopped in to watch a Hawks playoff game this past Sunday. Not quite the level of hockey immersion that I expected– it seems more geared toward families. Sort of a Bennigans for the hockey crowd. Service was good if a bit overbearing– just couldn’t get rid of the waitstaff for more than a couple of minutes at a time. Food was good to average, the usual bar food selections with a few exceptions. I felt that the prices were on the high side and I am not usually one to comment on prices. Is it worth visiting to check out a Hawks game? Yes it is. Is it a really great Hockey bar? No, I don’t think it is unless you have children that wouldn’t fit in the traditional sports bar environment.
