Windy City Dolls & Collectibles

This small shop is located in the «The Berry House» in Geneva. When I arrived, I was so surprised at the amount of Barbies of all kinds vintage, special limited edition, and various types of fashion dolls. I honestly, don’t think you will find genuine vintage Barbies here as all of them are reproduction and special edition dolls, but they are all equally fascinating. The lady is a one-​woman operation and she is very kind and sweet. I was looking for a specific reproduction doll, but she had sold out of it. However, she was kind enough to show me dolls that were similiar to what I wanted, and I eventually found one. The prices are fair and reasonable and great quality. Most of the dolls if not all are brand new and come straight from the box. I can’t wait to go back again!

I was looking for a specific collectible Barbie doll, I am not a collector but I buy what I like. I saw what I wanted on Ebay but I am always leery about shopping on Ebay for items… I happened to come across her website and saw what I wanted at cheaper than I was finding anywhere else!
When I got there I did have to wait as she does sell things off her online website and was at UPS shipping items out. But when I got there she had tons of stuff! She was very kind and real-​she wasn’t like a snooty collector/dealer…She showed me a doll I was looking for and did not realize that she had… she was just chatty enough and I felt I could ask her questions and she gave me a fair price on the dolls I purchased :).
Take a look at her website before you go as she does not have normal 9 – 5 hours and also you may want to call ahead to make sure she will be in before you head out to her store-​as sometimes she is stopping in at UPS or the USPS to ship dolls-​she is a one woman operation. If I see something I like again in the future I will be back to her friendly little shop.
