DONOTGOHERE! Staff is nice but is not good at communicating. I was never given a real treatment plan. I asked the front receptionist she said she’ll have the office manager call me. Nothing. The day of the appt I asked again over the phone. No call back. I couldn’t get a hold of my daughter on her phone. They charged my barely 18 year old for services she had no clue as to what they cost! They told her the insurance should pay all of it. I got a huge bill & they said they were sorry for their part but that there was nothing I could be compensated for. The doctor won’t call me back! I’m trying to be civil and they’re being rude. Will never recommend this place EVER again! Stay away people. Find a different place please!

I am new to Georgetown and had to find a good allergist. The doctor listened to me, made suggestions, and provided me with several options for treatment. I am very satisfied with this office and will continue to see this doctor.

Beware! Yes, friendly staff and clean facility but beware of this place. They admittedly made my husband and my schedule over twice as often for shots as they should be for almost two years! They never put us on the maintenance schedule. I asked about it several times and they said that we were on it until FINALLY one of the nurses confessed they were wrong. You’d think somebody would have had a clue that we were showing up an awful lot or maybe they thought we just liked them so much we couldn’t keep away? So is that okay for our bodies? ABSOLUTELYNOT! We were completely overload and that’s the reason we are so worn out and sick all the time now. Just think about what it would do to you if you were getting 2.5 times the dose of something that you are highly allergic to for over two years! They are nothing shy of negligent! Best yet, the doctor refuses to return our calls. Can you get over that? It isn’t like we are blaring raging obscenities the several times we called to talk to her! We are on the edge of distraught because she’s in a nice building and had a smile on her face when we did have our first and only contact with her three years ago that we trusted her. As for any compensation for ALL the extra money(over $ 3000 out of pocket) we spend in having twice as many vials made and over twice as many shots, the nurse LAUGHED at us! We have no other choice but to speak out to the public and warn you. There are other allergists right here in Georgetown. Be careful to avoid this facility and be in charge of your health. When you are in charge and you still don’t get the truth, tell the rest of us to save us the heartache!

My husband used to sneeze his white butt off all day and night. He was driving me nuts!!! I had a tough time sleeping and I’m surprised I didn’t break any dishes because it would scare the crap out of me all the time, not to mention, our dogs jumped every time he sneezed. I complained about it for years but he never would do anything about it.(Men…they think they’re so tough that not even allergies can hurt them.) Until a couple of Christmases ago he got sooo sick. Yes, on Christmas Eve and day! We had relatives from all over at the house and it was bad, I’m telling you. I guess it was because of that incident that he decided to do something about his allergies. He decided to go with Dr. Kim T. Hovanky on a recommendation from a customer at his work. She’s the allergist who provides the daily pollen count for News 8 Austin. On his first visit they poked him with all kinds of allergens to see what he was allergic to. I can’t remember how many spots were all over his back but it seemed like a lot. If any of those spots turned red then that meant that he was allergic to that particular allergen. My husband showed me his back and it looked like he had some weird tattoo done. The design was a bunch of spots that had circles around them with letters inside. It turned out that he was allergic to dog, cat, and horse hair, along with dust mites, cedar pollen, and some other types of grass pollen.(No wonder he didn’t mow all those years!!!)
The doc prescribed him a couple of shots a week for the first year and then goes to one shot a week for the next few years. In the beginning he has to go through 4 different dilution levels until he is at a 50⁄50 mixture which he stays with until his immune system permanently changes. He also was prescribed Nasonex which he uses on a daily basis which has been extremely successful in controlling his allergies. I felt relief after the first two months of my husband visiting this place and I’m sure he did too. It’s kind of funny how I put it though, because I’m not the one that sneezed my booty off day and night, but I am the one who had to put up with his constant sneezing. My husband is almost an allergy free man now and no longer looks like a red nose reindeer. No more stuffy nose that people might think he’s been snorting something every day. No more sneezing while eating.(Imagine what would happen if you were to sneeze while you were eating. Who knows what would come out! EEW!) He’s no longer drugged up from all of that over-the-counter allergy medicine he was taking. He even mows every week now with no problems, hooray! All we have to do now is work on his snoring problem. Dr. Hovanky’s treatment of my husband has had a life change affect on his quality of life and mine and we are grateful. We highly recommend this allergy treatment center to anyone who has allergies.
