I’ve been looking for a Tae Kwon Do school for my kids, ages 4 and 9. I visited several schools in the area but did not find them to my liking because most are run like daycare centers instead of a martial arts school. Then I found Master Kim’s school which happened to be very conveniently located close to my home. It hasn’t been long since the school opened, so currently my kids are pretty much getting private lessons from the grand master. I’ve had some experience with martial arts since I was a kid and I know that it can be very useful in teaching discipline, respect, honor, and self-control. I also want my kids to have some confidence in their abilities in case they get bullied around at school. By no means am I a proponent of violence. But anyone who thinks martial arts is violence does not truly understand what it is about. It’s a physical art that comes with the added value of being able to defend yourself. Master Kim is very knowledgeable and great with kids. He looks to have a lot of experience with kids and adults alike. As a matter of fact, I am thinking about starting lessons again myself and finally get my black belt. I’m only 3 belts away and I’ve always wanted the satisfaction of earning a black belt. The space size is mediocre, but big enough for a good work out. You will need to purchase a uniform and pads, but be sure to ask about the grand opening special. If your looking for a cozy school with high quality instruction, Master Kim’s school is the one for you.
