My friend was in the mood for something sweet so being that Gigi’s was open till 7 we stopped by. Let me just say that the cupcakes were decent, although I’ve had better. Out of the two I tried, Oreo and Smores, I liked the oreo the best. However, the reason for the 2 stars is because of the customer service. I am not sure if the cashier wanted to leave or something but I expect kindness when I enter a bakery. She was just plain oh rude and I am not sure why. Its not like we asked a bunch of questions or anything. Besides the bad customer service, the cupcakes are decent if you are looking for something sweet to eat.

GiGi’s is a delicious place to go for dessert. Their main business is cupcakes but they also have cheesecake and most recently stuffed cookies and dessert breads like Lemon Poppy Seed. Their menu changes each day the week and they also have some cupcake flavors that are only available certain seasons. There is a lot of icing on the cupcakes but if you want less, just don’t eat it all. The good thing is that while it is a lot of icing, the actual cake is bigger than most too so it doesn’t all fall to pieces. My favorite regular flavors are the Wedding Cake and White Chocolate Midnight Magic. The only bad things about this place is that you can fall in love with a seasonal flavor and they may not offer it again(lemon ice box pie cupcake is missed).

Not a fan. Taste boxed came and icing doesn’t taste right. Taste like cut with shortening. And I love my icing but not 5 inches of it especially if it’s not made with all butter or cream cheese.

I bought six cupcakes a couple of weeks ago for my mother’s 64th birthday. I asked the very friendly lady in the shop for some suggestions and she told me to get the crème brûlée whatever I got. She gave me a sample and it was great! I ended up getting strawberry, crème brûlée, and some kind of chocolate. All were moist and very tasty. If I have one complaint it is that the frosting to cake ratio is off. The amount of frosting they have on the cupcake is like equal in size to the cake itself. The cupcakes would be much more successful if they used half or a quarter the amount of frosting that they typically do. I know a lot of people think that $ 3 per cupcake is a lot, but the cupcakes are pretty big. Each one would serve two people imo.

I was really disappointed with the cupcakes I bought this past Saturday from Gigi’s in Germantown. Although they were decorated nicely they were stale. I have bought cupcakes in the past from this location and they were great. This time I was very disappointed in the quality of cupcake.

My sister and I was finishing up our Culinary Crawl going to Cupcake shops. Gigi’s was on 3rd on our list to visit and boy did they show up. I had the Wedding Cake and it tasted great and moist. However, we did give a slight edge to Muddy’s who won first place.

It’s a nice little store and the employees are really nice. But for $ 3 a cupcake I expected more. First off there is so much icing that it overwhelms the cake part. While the cupcake is moist and fluffy and the icing is tasty it isn’t anything special. It tastes like store bought cake mix with store bought icing. The flavors don’t have much difference in taste. The strawberry champagne cupcake didn’t have much flavor while the strawberry shortcake needs more strawberry. I was really expecting more but ended up sadly disappointed.

Overall their cupcakes aren’t anything special. Also I really don’t like chain bakeries. It takes the«love» out of the creations IMHO.

I feel like Gigi’s should change their name to «Gigi’s Icing, with a bit of cake.» Expect to spend around $ 3 per cupcake, and expect a mountain of icing on whatever you decide to get. Sure, it looks cool, but do you really want the stomachache? There are so many local places you can go that are cheaper and make a better-tasting mini cake of deliciousness. You’re basically paying twice the amount you would pay at Muddy’s and all you get is more icing. Meh. On the flip side, the cupcakes do look cool and I’ve never had bad customer service at this location. Oh, and they apparently have a champagne flavor that I REALLY want to try… I’ll just slide some of the icing off of it first.

Best little $ 3 gift you will find. The cupcakes are beautiful and presentation is the selling feature at Gigi’s. Are they the best cupcakes in the world? No, but it doesn’t even matter. They are so visually appealing that your brain thinks they are heavenly. They will box up even just one cupcake in the cutest green and pink boxes sealed with a cute Gigi’s sticker and they make the cutest little gifts. Everyone I have ever given one to seemed delighted. Who wouldn’t enjoy a cute little box with a gorgeous cupcake inside topped off with 14 inches of frosting?

$ 3 a cupcake for me is not so bad seeing as how a cupcake in Hampton Roads Virginia will cost you $ 5 a piece. Cost of living here in TN is cheaper though so I’ve been really happy with the price of… everything TN has to offer LOL! The cupcakes are really good! I got my Grandmother hooked on them as well and I have to force myself to control my cravings lest I gain an obscene amount of weight. Also I have NEVER experienced poor customer service at Gigi’s. This review covers both Germantown and Cordova location. Both shops have amazing products and outstanding service. The employees are always so sweet and upbeat. I love it! Makes me want to go back just so I can soak up some of their positive energy LOL

uhhh… i’ll confess that i ate FOUR of these delicious mini cupcakes in one seating. im a huge sugar junkie, and this really hit the spot. it isn’t anything too special, and should we be in nyc i’d probably be at crumbs or magnolia instead, but this is pretty good for memphis! i havent been to muddy’s so i can’t compare.

The cupcakes are decent, but for $ 3 a cupcake I would expect it to have real gold flakes sprinkled in and cheerleaders dancing on top of the icing. I recommend going to Muddy’s Bake Shop instead, where the cupcakes are better and are only $ 1.60 a pop.
