Colton Motel

We originally made reservations at the Budget Host Three Crowns Motor, but since we got into Gettysburg at 9:00 pm they gave it to someone and moved us here.
The staff members are friendly and helpful. I really appreciated their assistance. When I took a shower in the morning the water was still a bit cold even when I turned it all the way to hot. I went to the office and told them and they said they can have someone pop in check it out. But it was just me because my husband took a shower after me and it was nice and warm for him.
Overall, it was an okay place to stay. I was just glad they had availability since Budget Host Three Crowns Motor kinda just kicked us to the curb without a phone call.

I loved it here. Sure it’s not the fanciest joint around, but they staff are so friendly and there is complimentary breakfast. Bagels, oj, and coffee, but who cares? It’s free! Swam in the pool at all hours of the night. Great location. Close to everything. When I go back, I will deff stay here again.

This place may look kind of shabby, but the hotel desk clerk Brenda is a complete and total sweetheart. She is good people and will bend over backwards for her guests. We haw stayed here for 3 years every firemans weekend. We only stay here because Brenda and her daughter are some of the nicest people you will ever meet. They are hard workers and will do whatever they can to make your stay enjoyable. Brenda will also treat you to one of thee coolest ghost tours you have ever been on. The guy Richie who works as the manager doesn’t look like the sharpest tool in the shed, and he was mean to us upon arrival and even called President Lincoln an homosexual term wb if we felt was uncalled for. Brenda made everything right and apologized. She even invited us into her home for dinner.

Even in winter, this is a bargain. The TV worked, but you needed to take extra steps to get to the right channel and volume. You can walk to downtown from there.

A great location, great price, and friendly service. I would bring a sleeping bag to throw on top of the old motel style bedspreads, the TV did not work but these are minor complaints when you consider visiting Gettysburg.

Affordable, friendly an ridiculously close to Everything! Also right across the street from the cemetery if you are up for some ghost hunting! Staff was helpful. Rooms were decent. ZERO complaints except our TV did not work. Fine though because we did a late night ghost tour and literally were to exhausted by the time we got back to the hotel.
