We ate here at the Allentown Fair and it was fantastic — you had that«fair» feel and look but the pulled pork sandwich was great. If they are there next year I will be grabbing some food from them again!

Food may be good if you can get served. Waited in line almost ten minutes while they waited on 1 person. Workers standing around everywhere with 1 older woman sitting there talking to the 1 customer in front of us. When we finally walked away, then they said«oh we’re you waited on». Stay away unless poor cust service is what you are looking for.

Ahh, little richards. An institution here at Zerns. If you’re a cheese steak freak, you’ll probably hate it, and that’s a shame. Now why would I say that and yet still give it four stars? Well, for one they don’t use amoroso bread, a critical mistake for cheese steaks. But the steaks are good, and for $ 7 you get a big sandwich, plenty of freshly fried onions, and a lovely orange dollop of whiz. Yum. On the counter are your standard condiments, with the addition of pickled pepper hoagie spread.(Pickled peppers chopped up very fine, like a spicy dill relish). Extra Yum. When I was little, my Dad would go to Zerns almost every week bright and early to flea market. After walking around all morning, my reward for not breaking anything or melting down was one of these cheese steaks and a birch beer(yes — the red kind). I’m not a big flea marketer these days, but I still drop by Zern’s(usually for Burt’s farms steaks!) and whenever I come here, I stop at Little Richards for a cheese steak. My son comes with me now, and although my dad passed away many years ago, I know he’s right there with us as the new generation of our family enjoys this ritual meal. The menu has expanded over the years, now offering tacos, salads, burgers and dogs, and, a winter favorite of mine, hot ham and cheeses. Prices are all very reasonable, and the staff is usually quite friendly.
