The baked goods are always four stars. However, the hours posted here are incorrect. And when I called the business to let them know the hours should be updated, I was taken aback by the unapologetic and impatient tone of the woman who answered, who seemed to be the owner. She said the bakery«doesn’t manage the Unilocal listing,» which was put up «without their permission,» and I should get my information from the shop’s own website. For better or worse, your Unilocal listing is a significant public-facing part of your business, and the many customers who find you through it are not bad people for doing so. Out-of-date information doesn’t look nearly as bad for Unilocal as it does for you. Please make an effort, as a courtesy to your customers if not to Unilocal as a corporation, to ensure the essential information about your business is correct, everywhere online that people are highly likely to find it. Your food is only good if people get to eat it when they drive out to see you.

Excellent ! If you’re not from nearby but in the area and wondering if it’s worth the trip… YES it is. I did and it was a good decision. The mixed berry bar was perfect, not too sweet, you could taste the fruit, the cappuccino was perfect too. The service is friendly and efficient. The atmosphere is contemporary and well maintained. I liked the oversized tables where you can easily find a seat and fit into the ambiance There is also very nice outside seating.

Rose 32 is a hidden gem of Western Massachusetts. You would expect this type of café in a city, not tucked away in the suburbs. A huge assortment of pastries — far more than I’ve seen elsewhere and always fresh. I highly recommend the salmon crostini and the Tuscan tomato soup. Lattes are great too! With a warm atmosphere and a wonderful staff, I feel blessed to have this bakery/café at my doorstep!

Wow! There was a line out the door when we came, but it was noon on the nose, so I think everyone was piling in. They have great coffee, lots of awesome pastries and macarons, and lunch items(mac and cheese!) and salads. What a cute and tasty diamond in the rough!

Went to these folks in California and they are excellent. The slice of Marjolaine was to die for, the olive oil was reasonably prices, the tarts were top notch, and the breakfast was fantastic, right down to the arugula. I bought a tart and a coffee cake and then sliced them and wrapped them for the freezer, but made quick work of the chocolate mousse, the marjolaine and the slice of coconut cake. They have fresh eggs and local cheese in the cooler too. The bathroom was up to California standards. Love this place!

My baked goods and coffee were delicious but I have to give Rose 32 only three stars because of the attitude of one of the staff members. She was a bit condescending and rude. I have been here plenty times before and always enjoyed the service and food, but my most recent trip disappointed me.

Rose32 Bread is our absolute favorite café and bread source. The place is rather small, but totally worth the visit. It is often busy and crowded, but that is due to the outstandingly terrific food they serve! I’d give them 6 stars if I could.

Fantastic bread and pastry that remind me of Southern Europe. Love the pastries and make it a point of stopping by every opportunity I get! I read some comments but I can’t say much about the owners personality. Frankly I have never had an issue with the product or the service and she has been extremely personable in my presence. The wait staff are extremely polite, professional and attentive.

lunch recently… liuttle place with shared tables, the building seems to be mostly bakery, but there is outside seating for the nice days… caesar salad great, italian sandwich great, spinich quiche great… liked everything… you order at the counter and get a number on a stick and then they bring your meals out to you, not open everyday so check.

Stopped while trying to kill some time before hang gliding… This place is a gem. Freshly baked bread and gorgeous pastries. My husband had the bled Italian sandwich and I had the caprese. Both were excellent. The real star was the apple cinnamon pastry that we split though. It was like a cinnamon role/apple pie hybrid and it was out of this world. Good prices too.

I tried the cheddar and green onion breakfast sandwich. I ordered the sandwich to-go, and although it took a little while(10 – 15 minutes?) it was very tasty and filling! I also ordered a chocolate chip scone, which was equally delicious. The iced coffee was pretty standard. I will definitely be back to try another pastry. The staff was friendly and welcoming, despite the large weekend crowd.

I’ve been back for more punishment! The one star is based solely on the OWNERS bad, unprofessional, obnoxious attitude. One of THEWORST customer service/appreciation experiences ever. anywhere(as in my life). Baked goods are fantastic … the owner needs a muzzle! and I’m not even going into why this time. but trust me on this she was WAY out of line and rude in an OVERT passive aggressive way!

Mmmmm! We ordered two sandwiches and a scone and breton. All were amazing but the peach scone was something else! Lattes were also solid.

Delicious breakfasts(scrambled eggs with ham & potatoes, cooked perfectly), especially if you can digest gluten. Many nearby residents, including me, have gluten intolerance and wish they’d at least offer Udi’s gluten free bread, like all cafes & restaurants do now. As most reviews tell you the owner is quite rude(the staff is pretty cold and snooty). With multiple requests to carry some gluten free treats, over the last couple of years, there is also a very unfriendly reply. Even crappy local diners offer flourless chocolate cake or some local gluten free bread. They do great business because the food is good but they need customer service training, for sure!

I have been going to Rose32 for a few months now. The food is delicious and the service is efficient. They are not the kind of business trying to make the establishment a local, «hangout» which is clear from the way they set up the tables on the inside. They are about their bakery which is outstanding. If it’s busy, we try to get in and get out because that is the polite thing to do at a busy bakery. If it’s not busy, they do not train their staff to be «chitty chatty» if that is what someone is looking for, probably best to go someplace else. I don’t feel that the staff is like«Stepford wives» but the service is not warm, more impersonal, like going to the Ikea cafeteria. This feels intentional for reasons I don’t particularly care about since the food is so good. The best Chinese restaurant in San Francisco I used to frequent years ago was totally, rude, never gave what I ordered, food came haphazardly and people were lined out the door all the time for one reason; the food was amazing and not at all expensive. Maybe the owners who have been business owners for a very long time just feel this is how they can best provide a quality product to as many people as possible. I for one am happy to be an impersonal number for such great food. Oh yeah, and the coffee and tea is amazing too. Give me a fake smile and a great cup of coffee over a warm smile and lousy cup of coffee any day.

Rose 32 is a small deli and a bakery on Rt 32 in Hardwick, MA(pretty sure the building used to be an auto body shop) very nice and clean! The lunch menu is limited. Wish they had more choices. We all had sandwiches. The breads are made fresh daily and are very good! The pastries are very tasty! The staff were all very friendly! Will definitely stop in again when in the area!

A little piece of France in the middle of nowhere, this place is the real deal for pastries. We enjoyed a delicious peaches and cream scone, and perfect croissant sandwiches. If I lived nearby, I’d be here every day. Worth the trip, many times over.

This bakery/café is totally way out there, close to the middle of nowhere. But, if your in the area and want to eat some delicious pastries or have a healthy meal, than this is the place for you. And the pecan sticky buns are the best that I’ve had in the USA. I think they use real local butter and maple syrup… I didn’t ask b/c the flavor is enough to break a healthy gluten free streak. But the sticky bun has the consistency of a croissant with a maple syrup glaze. The hazelnut cake is also divine. I couldn’t even stop to take a photo of it. It had about 6 different layers and was a very complicated and delicious pastry, well worth the indulgence. The owners used to own several bakeries in California, but decided to relocate here. This place a definitely a gem. Plan a whole driving in the country trip around stopping here for lunch and definitely leave room for the pastries!
