The best farmers market in Gilroy. Their avocado sale is the best because while they’re for the small avocados, they have the best quality out of any fruit stand.

False advertisement on the avocados. They should post that it’s for the small avocados. I stopped here on my way back from SoCal and the cashier was extremely rude. No smile and they shut the door on us because they were closing early. I’m not stopping here again. I felt rushed trying to buy snacks and fruit.

I love this place so much! They have great prices on delicious fruit. Make sure you check their freezer case. They have chocolate dipped cheesecake! Also, they close promptly at 7 so if you want something, get there before then.

7lbs of super sweet naval oranges for $ 1! 7 baby avocados for $ 1! 1lb of large grapes for 99 cents .and lots of other great deals going on. We got about 6 bags of delicious fresh fruits for less than $ 15. What a steal! I would definitely recommend stopping here when you see all the sale signs because unlike some places, they honor what’s up there and they’ve got a huge selection of fruits. My parents go crazy at this place. We’ve been here for 45 minutes and they’ve already gone back 3 times to grab more fruit.

more like 3.5÷5 stars. if you’re driving down to la or driving up to the bay, you should definitely take the 152 between the 101 and 5 freeway. its a nice scenic drive, and you’ll pass by stores like pacheco. we stopped by in winter and i felt like this was the only major store that was open on the Pacheco Pass Hwy. first thing about this place is that its pretty big for just selling veggies and fruits. also, for the amount you get, its cheap as hell. 7 avocados for 1 dollar. and 7 pounds of grapefruit for a buck. honestly, you’ll not find prices like this in any major cities. they also have the famous garlic ice cream, similar to the one at stinking rose. you should try it, since its only 2.99.

Definitely a must-stop. They have delicious oranges that only cost $ 1 for 7 lbs! They also have garlic ice cream and a bunch of other goodies… nuts, candy, sugarcane, jellies, dried fruit, fresh fruit, etc. We always stop by here when we are pass by Gilroy on road trips!

Really shocked by how much of the produce and products are imported from overseas when you expect most everything to be at least semi-local!!! The cheap avocados everybody posts about are from Mexico, the okra chips from Vietnam… quite disappointing when looking at the fine print, but i suppose most people get distracted by the silly novelty hot sauces. Not a bad stop to stretch your legs during a roadtrip, but for quality and value of produce I’d recommend supporting your local farmers markets instead.

Great little market near Gilroy! Cheap, fresh veggies and fruits!!! Can’t beat their prices here! They even sell some good souvenirs items throughout! But you can never go wrong with making a quick stop here! I’ve tried their vanilla garlic ice cream! It was great to be able to try it but I’m not too much of a fan! The taste isn’t bad but it leaves your breathe filled with a garlic smell/taste! But I love how they usually have avocados for sale!

I LOVETHISPLACE! I got almost $ 200 worth of fruit and veggies for $ 50! EIGHTAVOCADOSFOR A DOLLAR. You read that right. EIGHTAVOCADOSFOR A DOLLAR. Can you believe that? They have a ton of unique things here as well. I got some great raw, organic honey and a plethora of other goodies. They have fun places for kids to take pics, as well. Super awesome customer service. Make the stop!

Everything(all the fruits) I bought was bad when I got home. I was travelling through the area so I didn’t know of this place. I would be careful since the fruits/vegetables look great on the outside but not so when you get home and eat them… :( Avoid!

Garlic ice cream! Doesn’t taste the as good as the one you get at the Garlic Festival though. Good selection of snacks for the road. All the prices are a bit inflated, but nothing too absurd for travelers/tourists. Single picnic table outside.

Every time we head up to the Bay Area from SoCal, we’ve wanted to pass by Gilroy to pick up a garlic ice cream. We finally did that this time, and stopped at the Pacheco Pass Farmers Market. There is a creamy delicious garlicky ice cream(a tiny cup size) for $ 2.99. I think the price went up! There are 2 flavors, either vanilla or chocolate and we got the vanilla to share. Outside of just ice cream, they sell a slew of organic(?) fruits and vegetables. We bought some fruits, cherries /oranges /and onions, etc. Very affordable prices, too! If you’re driving by Gilroy and feeling in the mood for some ice cream, be sure to check out this place for some good eats!

What a fantastic produce stand. My mom and I couldn’t resist the lure of 7 avocados for $ 1. The avocados were tiny but deliciously smooth. The rest of the produce was equally delightful. A huge basket of strawberries was $ 1.99 and a pomelo as big as my head was ¢.79! I took away one star for the incredibly rude(male) staff person who did not like where I put my fruit and set it on the ground. Grr. However, when my next trip takes me from LA to the Bay Area, I will def be a repeat customer!

7 avocados for $ 1? what could go wrong? No but seriously. Some fantastic deals here, and before you start saying that these avocados are much smaller than the mutant ones you get from Safeway, consider that they are locally grown and they are much tastier than most of the larger hass avocados I’ve had. Groceries and fresh fruit are dirt cheap here, if it wasn’t so far away I’d love to shop here more frequently!

Yogurt pretzels — blueberry and cherry. 5 for 1 avocados Yeah — can’t beat a good farmer’s market. Lots of select from. Fresh fruits, dried fruits, basic«healthy» goodies, and the not so healthy(i.e., amazing guacamole chips).

Apples, almonds, asparagus, assorted nuts, avocados, bananas, grapes, grapefruit, honey jars, juices, kiwi, lemons, mangoes, mushrooms, onions, oranges, pears, pineapples, seasoning shakers, strawberries, sweet potatoes, and sweet tooth candies… and big dip hot sauces. Oh, wait a minute. One more thing: Lots of GARLIC. All kinds of garlic. I mean, the city of Gilroy is the capital of Garlic, let that not be forgotten. Including Garlic Ice Cream, which is never going to be anybody’s favorite but for high experimental type people it’s a must try. Some of these items are a bargain, some are overpriced, but many of those justified by their organic origins. #pacheco-pass-bypass-to-5-fwy

There’s a lot of good sh*t in here. Seriously, I’m talkin’ about good sh*t, special sh*t, awesome sh*t, hot sh*t, aw sh*t, bbq sh*t and that ain’t no bull sh*t…which they have, too. Don’t believe me? Check the pics. I don’t know how many times we’ve passed by this place on our way down to SoCal and back, and I’ve always wanted to stop by. Don’t know why it took so long, but it was worth it. On our last trip to down to San Diego, Wifey saw the sign that read: «Oranges: 7 lbs. for $ 1» along the road. That was on a Thursday afternoon on March 12th. I’ve been on an orange craze as of late so we defintely planned on stopping here on the way back home. On Sunday, March 15th, we left San Diego early in the morning as we had made some planned stops along the way, and this was one of them. We pulled in late in the afternoon just before dusk and the place was still busy. Wifey and my Mother-in-law immediately tag-teamed and started filling up bags of oranges while I checked out the rest of the place. That’s when I stumbled upon their good sh*t selection. That totally made my day and these would make great gifts. They even have the infamous Garlic Ice Cream, but did not buy this time around since I didn’t want to spoil my appetite from all the fresh and organic produce that we were buying. By the time we were finished and loaded our loot in the back of the SUV, we probably had a supply of oranges that lasted us a couple weeks and a tray of strawberries that were gone the next day. I got two growing teenage boys so they decimated the strawberries. I won’t mind taking another trip here if we’re in the area for the prices alone are worth it. Besides, their sh*t is good.

This Farmers Market is alright, though not the most impressive one I have seen. They had minimal organic products here which is something I deeply care about, so I didn’t purchase any of the produce. Since we were in Gilroy, though, we tried the garlic ice cream. One chocolate, and one vanilla. They come in small pre-packaged cups(from Santa Cruz?). We both took one bite and … that was it. Strong, over-bearing garlic infused flavor. Left a horrible taste in our mouths. Even the vanilla and chocolate taste artificial and chalky. Do your thing, PP Farmers Market. Wishing you the best.

«Hey, it looks different in here». We’ve stopped by several times over the years to pick up gift items for the folks back home. Hot sauces, salad dressings, munchies. Asked the gal working the register and she said that there’s new owners and they just took over at the beginning of this month. Took a pass on buying gift items because they no longer have what I was looking for in particular. These flavored salts were somewhat amusing and I almost picked one up. The munchies was pretty pricey. If we had been on the way home, I would have picked up some produce. The fruits looked really good and the prices were right.
